We just spent another fun weekend at Great Wolf Lodge in Dallas! We missed Derek but were glad Danen and Michele were able to fly in for the weekend. It's perfect for our family right now------something for everyone! The indoor waterpark is a HUGE hit for everyone and probably the best thing about spending the day in an awesome waterpark is that the kids come out tired and CLEAN! The kids cabin room that the 4 older boys stay in has their own little log cabin, inside the actual hotel room, complete with fun wall murals, bunkbeds, and a flat screen tv with built-in video games! They also have an adventure called Magiquest where the kids buy special wands that allow them to get clues to solve a series of "Quests" all over the hotel. The wizard tells the kids to use the stairs to travel from floor to floor ( I'm sure this is to keep all the little quest seekers out of the hotels elevators --ha!) and this too tires them out while having fun and makes for really easy bedtimes later! See why I like this place----it's a mom/grandmom's dream! The dinner buffet in the "Loose Moose Cottage" ( I love that name) has a childrens buffet line as well that features grilled cheese sandwiches, mac and cheese, corn dogs, chicken fingers and a dessert bar with ice cream with different sprinkles and a gummy bar---gummy worms, gummy bears, gummy bugs etc! So Much Fun! We loved it! Janie and Gary had a King Cake delivered so everyone got a chance to celebrate a Mardi Gras tradition! Karsen found the "baby" in one of her bites and was thrilled with the "dolly" immediately causing the boys to wonder what other kind of cool stuff might be hidden inside! We saved the cake before they did their own excavating! The best part tho is just being together and hangin' out. Can't wait to go back---again!

Valentines Day 09
We have the greatest friends! Jerry and Cindy Wasemiller, Mike and Robbie Vaclaw, Dave and I have been friends for so long we have different ideas on when we first met. Maybe it was just so long ago we've forgotten, but all that really doesn't matter at this point because we'll be friends forever! Our kids have been best friends and have all grown up with each other--- all 16 of them! We are now blowing our minds by watching our grandchildren play together!! We have so many pictures documenting our lives and our kids lives together and so many memories that make us laugh everytime someone brings up a "remember when". We always try and go out together for Valentines Day and this year Mike volunteered to drive all of us to Tulsa in his newest acquisition, a full size school bus he is transforming into what everyone affectionately calls the VACMOBILE! Being a former OU football player, the bus has just a twinge of OU decor with comfy couches, cool strip lighting inside, and jazzy carpet! He picked all of us up including Robbies brother Russ who was brave enough to venture out with us and we headed to Tulsa to one of our favorite restaurants " Charlestons" laughing and talking the entire way of course! It was so much fun and another memory to add to our scrapbook!
