Today was a fun day~

I answered my first real phonecall at kellyservices attachment today! =) It went quite smoothly, considering that it's my first time! I did missed out some details to ask the candidate, but overall, I think I did quite well. At least, James did not scold me or anything. He even asked me to help him call a candidate to ask her to send her resume over to KS. it shows that I performed fairly well, rite? haha =)

And we had interviewing session with each other! So funny lor, I interviewed Bu Yi and we helped each other with asking questions directed to her!!! She inturn, interviewed me too! =) Hope we had asked each other the right questions! I realised that there are actually many types of questions and methods to find out about the candidate/applicant, beside the open-ended and cosed ended questions that we knew. Our purpose is to get to know more about the candidate, the real character of him/her and not wad is stated in his resume(the facts). Sounds chim hor! I think so too!

today was a fun fun day~

An interesting day~

Yesterday Chatarina and I went to Cineleisure to catch a movie - Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. Well, I think it's super nice cos of the visual effects and all =) the story was easy to understand, maybe due to the fact that I had read the novel itself. Like what xiaxue and my friends all said, the movie differs from the original story in a lot of ways. (2 friends did mentioned to me that they find the visual effects of the movie cool and that it has exciting scenes in it. They did not mentioned having experienced any disappointment too.) However, I still enjoyed it and like it! =) I was not disappointed by it. I think to really appreciate any movie made from novels, we should read the novel first before we watch the movie. This is so that we, as the audience, would have had a better understanding of the plot and can then enjoy the movie's visual effects.

I met Jane outside the toilet after the movie. She was the one who saw me, and we made some small talk. we found out that she was actually sitting in the 2nd row at the left hand side, while I was sitting at the 3rd row right hand side! And she was actually walking in front of me to exit the place when the show ended! I recognised her skirt! So blur ah me!

Indeed I have something to complain, but it's not about the movie. Related to it yes but not the movie. I was the one who bought the tickets, hoping that chatarina and I would not have to sit at the front rows, straining our poor neck just to watch the show. But what happened, when we went to find our seats we discovered to our horrors that we are going to have to sit at the 3rd row, from the front! And not at the back, like what the ticket sales person said! So pissed lor, how can she lied to me! When I asked her which are the back rows, she dared to smile at me and say sweetly that it is at the bottom of the screen! And I happily trusted her, indicated that I would like to sit at the P row number 7 and 8. She scrolled down to let me see that there is actually the Q and r seats..but luckily I did not requst to change for the tickets at row R, presumably the last rows at the back of the threatre!!! Or else I would have die! Well, I did not suffer that much, true, but I was left to have to constantly mind the left hand side of the gigantic screen, so that I can get the "whole picture" literally thoughout the wole 2 hours and 45 minutes!!! I swear this is going to be the first and last time I am going to suffer this! From now onwards, I will remind myself to buy movie tickets at the middle row or none at all.

Ate indonesian food for dinner last night - mie ayam, it's actually dry chicken mee(noodles). Nice and we had teh tarik too.

Din really shopped, but the two of us chatted on alot of topics. It's been so long since we talked like that. The last time we went out to celebrate my birthday, we din really have time for a heart-to-heart kinda talk. Really happy that we finally did so =)

Post birthday celebration~

Yesterday I had a wonderful day! Went to Bishan Junction 8 to celebrate my birthday. Finally get to see chee yun! She had mentioned to only meet me out on 26th the sat. Luckily she was able to make it yest =)

Swee Lim, eileen, chee yun and hew wing were great company. Thanks alot gals! for the wonderful day u all spent with me!

Found out that one of the reason we were to meet at Bishan mall was that eileen's cousin had come there to join the auction for the "School Superstar". Went to have a look at the venue and there were an incredible number of people gathering there! Some were the competitors, but mostly, the crowd consists of theri friends and families. Not to forget people like us - the onlookers.

Stood quite long there at the venue, waiting for eileen's cousin's turn to perform. However, it was a great way to celebrate a birthday cos it's really unique mah, dun u think? I dun mind haha =) watched the youndsters compete for the attention of the judges, selling themselves to get in the second round. Some were real good, and the crowd clapped enthusiatically for them. Us included. Others were jokers!
They don't know how to sing! just use their throat voice and one even spoke out the song lyrics literally! But I must say that they are brave people! If it's me, I might not be so brave and courageous lor! haha =)

After we watched eileen's cousin performed, (and sadly she wasn't able to make it to the second round) we proceeded to makan. Was so hungry I ate a total of 5 plates of sushi at Sakae Sushi!!! And the rest just ate like only 2 or 3 plates lor! De! But it was a satisfying meal cos I got to eat chawanmushi! My favourite japanese dish! or side dish should I say! Nvm..anyway, I tried some sushi that I din get to eat before. All so oishii! (delicious!)

Bishan mall was a dispointment coz it's too small and there were no interesting shops so ya hew wing was complaining that it's boring..and suggested to go to town. We went to Tampines in the end to just sit down and chill at StarBucks.

It was at there that my big cousin saw me and he smsed me to say hello and enjoy ur coffee..etc..I was so blur I din see him at the door there outside. And he mentioned that in his sms! *sotong gal gal*

Took alot of photos during the trip. The first one was in the toilet at bishan mall, we asked a passerby (toilet visitor)to take photo for us. i m sure she's quite socked that people are actually taking photo in the loo! This was not my first time u noe..took photos in the loo with chatarina! haha =) i got used to it lor!

At the Century Square level 2 "exclusively hers" only females' toilet, we took a hell of a lot of photos too. It's really a nice environment..cozy and there are a lot of seats - For make-up. I love the seats, they reassemble the seats at pubs and bars! There is a sofa and coffee-table, very homely! The best thing is there's a lot of cubicles too! No queues whatsoever! =)

At CoffeeBean, we chatted and took many "weird lesbian like" photos! chee yun was the one who started it all, and soon, before we know, everyone was doing the same poses! Arranged for a class gathering at Seoul Garden for 30th nov or 1 dec. The aircon there was too strong! I can't wait to get out of there ha! Chee yun had the same sentiment! *wink wink*

oh ya, the gifts! I almost forgot to mention them! =) they were lovely! love them all. chee yun gave me a box full of her self-made chocolates and a birthday card. luckily they were edible haha =) or else i might be able to blog this entry u noe! swee lim and eileen gave me a cutie mug that has a tiger pic on it..it's tall and big and purple! Recently I love purple duno why oso..maybe it's partly becos fuji likes to wear purple ba! I start using the mug today this morning le! it's true - i am constantly reminded of my birthday as well as the sweetness of swee lim and eileen =) thanx again darlings!

am going to post the lovely pics the next time i blog ya.

My 19th Birthday~

Yesterday, I went to school for project meeting. Was really surprised that my group mates had bought me a birthday cake! To be honest, it's the 1st birthday cake I have. It's really nice of them! =) We shared the birthday cake - a chocolate one and even have left-overs for me to take away. It was a bit too sweet but the overall comment was yummy! I love the feeling of being cared for =) I could really felt their friendship and good-will towards me..Nice and all warm. They sang the birthday song to me - was so touched! I wanted to cry but didn't wanted to be too dramatic. Can't tell u my bday wish thou, all else it wun come true as they say.

thanx alot guys! i enjoyed the attention u all gave me~

Had to stay in school till 6pm, but was released earlier at 5.45pm. Good, i thought, then I could go home and change clothes first. In the end, I was late. Met chatarina at 7pm..was terribly late for half an hour! We went to Fish and Co to have dinner. Each of us ordered a stingray with black pepper. I like it, but chatarina found it under her expectation. The "Rooica" (i think) tea, was not bad. Nicer taste than japanese ocha(tea)! Fish and Co. gave me a pink tissue holder and a notebk upon knowing that it's my bday that day. So nice of them, their service was excellent too! Very attentive and polite and friendly, guess it has to do with being at the airport ba!

We chatted and updated each other our current life. Shopped a while at Mini-toons, Mini-bits and a few other duty-free shops at the Changi airport. we took lotsa photos too! thanks god chatarina brought her camera! I thought she forgot to bring, cos she din mention that she brought her camera, which she usually does, the 1st thing I see her.

I went home tired but happy! ^_~

Prince of Tennis End of Episode Comments and Afterthoughts~

I just wana say a few words..oh no i can't. I wana say alot of things can! Feelings are kinda mixed now! Part of me is relieved that I finally watched the whole anime, after so long of waiting for episodes 161 - 178 to download finish. The other is the opposite! I feel really sadden that I have to leave the life of "Seigaku-mina" (as tezuka taichew wun have said). From my past experience, once u stop watching the anime/cartoon, ur feelings for it will slowly, slowly diminish, until gradually it comes to the point where u will have little or no feelings or even memories of it. It is such a way that u will not notice its process of diminishing, unless u r really careful about it and desperately wants to hold back some of the memories of the anime. Memories will fade and feelings will change..just like what happened to me and my used to beloved japanese cartoon/anime Cardcaptor Sakura! I dun wan that to happen! Oh no I dun! Someone please help me! I need to remember it coz I really love this anime alot! Too much in fact, now that I compare with my love for CS. What should I do!? haiz..I hope this time I will truly have prince of tennis and seigaku mina as my 1st love of animation and that it stays rooted in my heart.

Reasons I absolutely love Tenisu no Oujisama:

1. I like the way the plot/storyline changes and twists itself at the last 1o to 20 episodes that I recently enjoyed. I think a gd story shld be like that. It gives it viewers a interesting yet logical and fairly acceptable twist at the back of the story and I love it very much indeed! =)

2. It completely changed me. From a person who has no idea what is tennis about, or what ever is sport and team spirit/morale, I have gradually became someone who has a rough idea of tennis lingos and rules and that tennis is not only a game, but a game that requires an equal amount of strength both physically and mentally, a lot of hard work and determination and the need of a quick mind/thinking for strategies as well as a tenacity and flexibilty in handling ur opponents as well as urself. It is also the recognition of what a gd team spirit is about and in turn, I am touched by it all!

3. I have grown from disliking the songs of tennis no oujisama to liking all of them at the end of viewing it! It's truly amazing i will say. i think the songs suit the theme of the current turn of events in the show itself and has an effect on the viewers as it is a nice touchup of the whole scenes especially those emotionally and exciting parts.

4. I have grown to love all the main characters in the anime, which are the "seigaku regulars"(tennis players). Though I still have my few favorites among the team, I definitely like the way each of the seigaku mina are portrayed. They are all distintive and unique in personality as well as likes and dislikes, strengths and weakness.

Captain Tezuka Kinumitsu is a well-like and respected leader of the pack. He's quiet and seldoms smile and can easily order anyone to "run 10/20 laps ard the court". He is also the number 1 in seigaku and is well known by the other tennis players in other middle high school in Japan. I definitely favored him coz he's a gentleman and is quite handsome actually thou he seldom smile and all and looks dead serious! =)

Fuji Syuusuke, the number 2 in seigaku. He's my most favored character in the anime! Not only is he the genius of seigaku, aside from the captain tezuka, he is also a very well-like character in the show. He's not very tall, compared to the others, but I like the way he always smiles and is so handsome!!! =) Very fair-skinned like tezuka, and he's serious only when faced with a challenging opponent(like tezuka) on the court, or when he's taking revenge for his beloved friends(takashi kawamura and fudomine's tachibana) and brother(yuuta syuusuke). He's actually a very kind and nice person as shown in the episode where he accompanied this little primary school girl everywhere she wana go in the episode"My Prince". I wun realli like to have a bf like him!! Watashi no oujisama!! *grins stupidly* haha =)

Eiji Kikumaru (senpai) is cute becoz of his red hair, unique hairstyle that's wavy at the ends and his everseeing little plaster on his face! He's also vey kawaii when he call ryoma echizen "ochibi!" which means kiddo. He's very flexible literally and does his acrobatic plays very well in the many matches I have watched. =) A cheerful and no airs senpai (senior) who likes to fool ard! I like! =) Oh ya, he's one of my favourites too!

My last favored player is none other than the very main character itself -- Ryoma echizen! I discovered that I like him a lot only when I realised that he is actually a very emotional person and is capable of showing his true feelings in the very last few episodes. Usually, he's a very cool guy. Smiles only when he's having his victory/win in matches and ard momo-senpai and kikumaru-senpai. Coz they get along well and kikumura always tease him! =) He actually cried and said "senpai, thank you very much' to all his senpais in the last episode!!! showing them their own special skills as a way of telling them that I have grown thanks to u all. =) He was also sad when he leave for his flight, taking one last long look at his friends and teammates, recalling all the hardwork as well as fun they have had. He was definitely unwilling to face his best friend, momo-senpai, in the court as his opponent in the intra-school tournament to choose who will be in the regulars and represent seigaku in the National tournament. Cos he noe he will definitely win, and can't bear to make a decision.

I will miss taka-san's "Burning!" and kawamura's sushi, inui-senpai's "super deluxe vegetable juice" and his data-collecting and analysis skills , oishi-senpai's motherly care and concern for his teammates and his strategies in the double's pair as seigaku's golden pair with kikumaru, momo-chan-senpai's "dunk smash" and his funny personality, and last but not least, kaidoh-senpai's fierce but serious expression and his ever present "ssss" snake sound, and his special attack moves like the "snake" and "boomerang"!!! heehee "ssss"

okok i gtg "zzzz" sleep now! Am realli late now..but happy that I had finally completed what I wana say. Satisfied and a burden in my heart is gone. =) Oyasumi!

My Trip to Clark Quay~

Today was a fine day to go to a new and unchartered territory! Yes, that's right, it's Clark Quay. Chatarina and I went there and it was as wonderful a place as the gal put it as.

Why? Some may ask. Well, for one thing, it was a fresh change of activity as well as a place to explore. People who really know me, will definitely know that I can be easily bored when repeating the same old things again and again! And so I like to seek adventure, oh yes I do!

Second reason is that it was "unpopulated" haha coz mainly tourists go there to look and praise about our clean and relatively clear Singapore River. I didn't manage to see the Merlion though! Such a pity, now that I think about it! Hence, my point is that it is not the usual crowded place we normally go to, a good example will be Orchard Road. And, I love it there. Another place that I recommend is nor other than the .. well, do give it a guess, darlings!

Haha, okie la, dun let u all's pretty head explose! It's the Changi Airport!

I like the way it's clean and neat, while not losing the official look which gives to people the impression that Singapore is "clean and green" and that it's a country which is continuously striving hard to improve itself, whether it is technologically or economically. Simply said, I like the cool environment which is quiet and relaxing to me. That's definitely due to the large amount of space it is made up of!

back to my reasons why I simply love Clark Quay, though it's definitely hotter than Changi Airport. Literally hotter! =)

I have always like to greenery and nature alot. I guess I discovered my passion for taking care and knowing more about plants when I joined horticulture club back in the days in Dunman Sec Sch. I love to be surrounded by the greenery! And I enjoyed those tracking activities I have done during horti camps =) Clark Quay holds that appeal too! Not only does I love plants, insects, grasses, soil and the like; I also enjoy the company of water: that includes, lakes, rivers, seas, seaside, beach, islands, and reservoirs! I love mother nature and has always been attracted and amazed by it! =) I love the feeling of the sea breeze brushing against my face, I love the feeling of sand/soil under my feet (weird u might thingk, I know that too!), and I simply love staring into the "greens" and "blue water" around me! they never fail to make me feel relaxed and comforted, just like what a mother will have done too.

We ate good food at TCC, by the riverside. And shopped briefly at Liang Court and later at Cineleisure pushcarts. There's a giant Kinokuniya bookstore there at Liang Court, and I am definitely going there again to have a look at it!

Chatarina and me are definitely going to Clark Quay again, coz she also like it there alot. I have got a feeling that it will be one of our favourite hangout. So do visit clark quay when u gals have the time and the right company ya!

~Cooking~

Imagine that!! It came upon me as a sudden thing but ya, I can now proudly say to everyone that, me, heng xiu qin, knows how to cook a proper meal le! heehee *can't help myself, grins happily*

My mum was tired today and so my dad suggested that "Let's let our daughter try to cook for tonight" I wasn't shocked or anything coz I had helped my mum before, assisting her to cut and wash vegs and the like. So I replied smoothly:"Yup, let me do it!"

Of course, my mum was the instructor. She instructed me when to put the light sauce sauce, when to flip the vegs and the fish..etc so many timings I had to get it right. I don't think I'll be able to cook anytime if she weren't there to help me. but, I am proud to say that I prepared the ingredients myself, saved for the opening of the can of vegetarian abalone! Ha! I still don't know how to open a tin can easily. Never mind, "I swear, one day I will be able to do it!" haha =)

Everything went smoothly and without any mishap that happened. Luckily!

My dad said my cooking is very nice, and that the veg was well-cooked. My mum said I had passed the "test", and that even the rice was nice to chew this time.

Thank you thank you!! haha =) I want to learn to cook; hopefully in the near future, I will be able to achieve more than tonight's performance!
