Jake and I spent the last year in South Carolina and one day we decided to pack it up and move along. Seriously, it only took us a week to pack up and move. We felt like the Beverly Hillbillies again because our cars were packed to the brim. It didn't make sense to rent a moving truck when everything could fit in our trailer and two small cars.
So here we are in Arizona. How did we end up here?
a: I LOVE our families and 2,500 miles was just too far away! Hopefully we will get to see everyone more often now that we are back west.
b: We want to expand our advertising business and it should work well in the Phoenix area. This place is enormous.
As far as figuring my life out, I'm getting closer. Jake is getting closer to figuring it out too! I want to stay involved in the natural foods industry so I am seeking a job with Whole Foods. I had a second interview and I'm hoping I get the job because I passed up a pretty good opportunity with Sprouts (formerly Sunflower Farmers Market.) I would also like to continue performing electrolysis in a home office.
Part time Health Food.
Part time Electrologist.
Full time Mom. Some day.
Jake has been doing tons of research in a field that he has always been interested in. Music. He has recently discovered the career of Music Supervisors. This job ranges from commercials to movies to theater to so much more. Anytime music is used in any kind of media, there is usually a music supervisor behind the scenes deciding what sound/music to use and where it should start and stop. They also deal with all of the legal paperwork and the budget negotiations that come with that. The more I have learned about it, the more interesting this career seems and the more I think Jake would really love doing it. He has had meetings with different people in the industry and is getting more and more excited about all of the research out there dealing with the effects of music and the different "therapies" out there. Check out this video/research done by Hans Jenny, it'll blow your mind. I don't think I have ever blogged any stories about "Crazy Brian," this guy I used to work with at Sunflower. He was always doing muscle testing on people and had strong convictions about all sorts of things-- GMO's, Indigo Children, Artillery Bunkers, etc. One day he made me sing a really high pitch while I was standing in the middle of the store. He told me that the pitch I was making was the sound my body needed to resonate with at this certain time in my life in order to help heal any emotions or health issues that I was dealing with, or something like that... Crazy Brian isn't so crazy.
