May 27th 1982

...on this day a beautiful child was brought into the world. ME! I know, I'm awesome. But enough about that. For my golden birthday (turning 27 on the 27th) guess what I did? Whatever I wanted to, gosh! I'm in a weird mood I think. Well I actually worked in the morning and it was okay. I think almost every employee there wished me happy birthday over the intercom so I felt special. They also pampered me with store-bought gifts which always makes for a good laugh.

Then Jake and I went out to get a bike rack because we decided that we are the type of people who need a bike rack. We packed up our bikes and continued to the top of Provo Canyon where we then rode all the way down to our house. We went super slow, I mean, they are beach cruisers so what more can you ask for? It only took us about an hour and a half, and since it was all down hill it was pretty fun.

Then we got some Thai food-- surprise surprise. Bangkok Grill on 8th South in Orem is pretty amazing. If you haven't tried this place, I would suggest doing so very soon. Good prices for great flavor. Everything on the menu has a nice distinct uniqueness to it, but Panang curry usually wins my vote. Sometimes we'll throw in a little Pad Thai or Green Papaya salad, but really everything there is worth trying once. YUM.

It was nice and relaxing, just what I needed in my old age.

I've decided I want a job the doesn't require shoes. What career would that be?

-A massage therapist
-A yoga instructor
-A forever pregnant wife

....hmmm, none of these are sounding too appealing. Maybe the yoga instructor. Maybe.

-Professional surfer???

Unbalding

After spending a couple of years in Hawaii, the sun & salt did a number on my hair. It became very thin and brittle. Then, to add to the damage, I started taking this little thing called the pill. My hair continued to get worse and I just figured it was me getting older.

Well there's this guy I work with who does muscle testing. He claims he can determine what nutritional supplements a person is lacking just by holding up a bottle of pills in front of their body. He told me that I should start taking Flaxseed Oil and Zinc, and that a little later on I needed to do a cleanse to get the heavy metals out of my body.

So I'm not exactly sure what happened, but I am re-growing hair! It's pretty exciting because I really miss my old thick & shiny hair. Don't believe it? I couldn't either but it's happening. Take a look at this picture of the new little baby hairs coming out of my head! Very cool.

However.... after I started reading about what might be repairing my hair, I found research that says I should stay away from foods with raw eggs in them. For about 6 weeks now I've been putting raw eggs in my morning smoothie. So maybe the research is wrong? Who knows? But I'm regrowing hair with natural supplements and it's only costing me about $10 a month. It makes me wonder about the markup/profit Rogaine and other hair technology companies are taking in.

Is this too personal of a subject to be putting on my blog? I'm just excited!

Something else I can laugh about for 2 hours....

The first time I saw this clip in Happy Gilmore I laughed so hard that my sides hurt the entire next week. I showed this to Jake the other day and he quickly became amused at how funny I really thought this was. He kept hitting the play button, I watched it probably 30 times in a row and was still laughing at the end. Why do I think this is so funny? I guess Shooter hit each cue perfectly.
