We've had a lot of fun since we've been back in our home country. We flew into Los Angeles where we spent a few days with Brett & K.T Shumway. They are sooo fun and sooo sweet! We really enjoyed our time there. Then they put the ever-so-faithful Geo Metro into our hands. I love that car. It's still up and running, but we had to put a little make-up on it for it to pass Utah safety inspection. Check out this hot rod!

From there we went over to Las Vegas where we got to spend time with Aaron & Janet & their Shumway gang. We had fun with them too. Those boys are sooo cute!
THEN we went to Utah and visited Sam & ShaNee & their Boucher gang. They fed us some homemade fruit leathers that were to DIE for! I'm so glad we were able to visit with them because I never knew how cute their kids are!
While we were up north we also bought another car! Yes, our first vehicle purchase as a married couple. We love the Geo, but we definitely need a back up! This car runs on Compressed Natural Gas which is CLEANER and CHEAPER! The price of natural gas in Utah is at .63 cents a gallon right now. We're lovin' it and we feel good about staying
GREEN.
Then we traveled a little south to visit Joe & Jen Boucher.... and this is my favorite part. Check out this video! Jake and Joe must have played rockband for HOURS! They took turns on the drums, guitar, and michrophone. I sneakily captured it with my camera phone.
We all took turns playing, feeling like real rockstars, with only the dogs as our audience.

We stayed with John & Jade Lewis for a few days where we ate lots of Lasagna and Pizza.... while most Shumways came out half Mexican, Jade came out half Italian.
Then we traveled even further south where we got to hang out with Mom & Dad Shumway in their huge new addition-of-a-house!!!! And that old swing set that weighs 50 tons was put up nicely after a few rough, tough, windy hours of work by Jake & Stan.

We ventured around Pinetop and took a scenic walk, then ate at Grumpy Jake's.

We also got to see G-pa and Si & Rochelle down in Gilbert. Grandpa and I took a nap together.

Lastly, we ended up at Uncle Gordon and Aunt Joanie's. From there we went around town looking for a place to live and summer jobs, and then back to their house to sleep off a hard day of looking. We were also sure to find some triple chunky chocolatey ice cream in the freezer :)
I HEART CHOCOLATE!
