Lilly has these metallic blue beads on a necklace.
On Wednesday she decided she needed to nap with them. She has a fascination with taking things to bed with her. This particular day, the beads were her choice of snuggle buddy.
Which is rather unfortunate, as they do not have well set dye on the outside of these shiny plastic metal beads.
She looked like something out of Star Trek.
I cleaned the purple off as best as I could, but the pink spots were what was left behind. Those took a couple of days to fade. Longer than it took for those beads to just, kinda, disappear.

Get a Grip
My son has grip. I was playing with him, trying to make him laugh while Paige took pictures of him. Suddenly, he lunges forward, grabs my bottom lip and started squeezing.
It was actually rather painful. I was afraid there would be some bruising. This kid has got some serious power.

Currently In Progress
Currently in Pleasant Grove there is a 5k going on. Currently in Pleasant Grove is Where Paige is. In Pleasant Grove is where I was Fifteen minutes ago. Currently at home is where I kinda wish Paige was, as James is teething and Lilly is taking everything as a personal affront.
Such is Life.
But the 5k was cool.

I would like to point out that we found this guy standing on blank canvas, and not in the toy section, so we only moved him five feet to a more...
proper...
location.
It had to be done, you understand.

Gin a baby meet a baby Comin thro' the rye
Shortly after I put my camera away, Willow, Gramma's new baby, tilted her head back to lick his face again, at which point my baby grabbed an ear with each hand, pulled her head back farther, and attempted to eat her nose.

Somebody has seen a little to much "Scooby Doo" at daycare...
"Look Daddy, He's a ghost!"
(She seriously said that.)

Handsome Boy
Oh, how I love this happy handsome boy. The last few nights of sadness have morphed back into his usual bubbly nature...thank goodness.

Sapporo Japan
I've put a lot of time and work into this one. I have not put any work into it lately though, as it has been rendering for the last 10 days. But now after about a month and a half of total work it is finished. If I am even 1/10th right, this will be both fantastic architecture, and phenomenal landscaping.

No one puts baby in the corner!
Except Lilly.
When she is expressing her feelings in a calm and collected...forget it.
When she is pitching a fit.
New trick, by the way...one that makes me laugh more than I can imagine. (I have loved spending the week home with them. Quality time, not when-I-am-in-between-projects time.)
P.S. Mom, did you notice the sweater she has on? She loves the ducky buttons.

Round-to-it-addended
Well, we are one step closer to done on the table. We just need a clear coat on the pieces now. Today being family activity day, we painted the end pieces of the table. With hand prints. And names. And ages.
Round-to-it
MAn. This semester has been rough. R-U-P-H, rough. the semester went straight from mid-term prep to finals prep, and it is all projects. Not any of them have been worth sharing though. I am killing myself to get assignments done. No one can live like that though, so every now and then you just have to slack off.
I wanted to work on another 3D model, but I have one I finished a couple of weeks ago that is STILL rendering because it is so complex. Rendering is all math, and the computer not only does not need my input for it, but does not want it, as it certainly knows better. I hope it will finish the movie sometime next week. So since I couldn't do that, I did some painting instead.
You guys remember the Christmas table? (Click here if you do not.)
Well, Paige painted it all white last January, about when my nasty semester started. The intention was that after getting a white base coat, we would paint the carvings and finish with a clear coat to protect everything. And the intention was all the farther we got.
Until last Tuesday. About once an hour I would walk away from my homework, pick a color, and do some painting. When Paige got home, she painted the little carved flower shapes, as I had painted the animals. Now it is ready for the clear coat. Which we will do when we get Round-to-it.
Probably next week, when Paige is on Spring Break (Mine was last month. I spent all but 2 days of it sick, lying down watching the kids play.)
I will post more pictures when the table is "Done" done, but for now, enjoy these progress shots.

Crawling down, actually
Last night I weighed in at 193. This is a loss of 5 pounds from one month ago. I have been as low as 192.4 this week, and at 190 pounds I will be half way to my final goal of 155 pounds. I currently have a net loss of 33 pounds, and have gone from size 46 pants in December, to size 36 pants that are already starting to slide off. That's 10 inches of the waist. I was a size 32 waist 14 years ago, and can uncomfortably button a size 34 right now. Now I just have to figure out how to get my body to remove the fat from my tummy and chest. it is still being a little stubborn. I want to get to the point that my stomach does not hide my seat belt when I drive down anymore.
Paige has a net loss of 38 pounds, but has been stuck at the same general weight for 3 weeks now. She is a tad frustrated.
