The Payson Utah Temple

Just for fun I have made a rendering of what the Payson Utah Temple will look like. Ground was broken for it just 2.5 weeks ago, but off the couple of images the church has released, This One:

 And This One:

 I created the following video:

Another Smile

Lilly earned the first real smile (for us) from her little brother James this morning. Aunt Chris got a smile out of him, but we cannot all be as cool as her. We were too busy enjoying the moment to grab a picture. :)

James' First Smile

So I was not around when this occurred. Much to the shame of the photographer father, Aunt Chris got this first.

Dressing Herself

What do you do when a 2 year old decides she wants to wear a certain combination of clothes? You let her. Teenagers on the other hand....

Massive Nap Attack

Anytime, Anyplace, Anywhere. There is no telling. A Nap may be behind you, RIGHT NOW. Don't look, don't turn around. If you spook it, it WILL pounce. That's what happened to Lilly. I mean, there she was, playing with Mommy's iPod, and sitting in Mommy's big chair, Sucking on Mommy's iPod earphone. You know, those things that your bossy nosy parents tell you not to do. Just enjoying one of those quite moments when your nosy parents think your napping. Then BAM.

NAP TIME.

Harsh.

Google Earth

I did a good chunk of models over the Summer for Google Earth, but never posted them. Here are 2 models I really wanted to show, plus links to all the others.

First is what I feel to be my best work so far, the Boston Massachusetts Temple

Then I have another fairly good model, Saint Louis Missouri.

Also I have had the following accepted:

San Antonio Texas Temple
Fresno California  Temple
Palmyra New York Temple
The Montréal Québec Temple
The Spokane Washington Temple
Medford Oregon Temple
Memphis Tennessee Temple
Nashville Tennessee Temple
Columbus Ohio Temple

This brings my total number of accepted temples to 72. Not bad at all, considering there are only 135 Active temples.

Colour!

Spelled in the English fashion, as that is how Lilly pronounces it. Not like the English pronounce it, just how they spell it.

Lilly Tries to Share

Well, I was proud at first that my daughter wants to share with her brother. But apparently having an ice cold bottle of milk shoved against his upper lip and up his nose was not his idea of a good time.

Hanging With James

I may like trying to hold up my head, but I still dislike using my arms for anything that was not originally my idea.

Day 31: World Domination proving to be more difficult than anticipated. Still can't control arms or legs.

Okay, you got like, 2 seconds to get that thing outa my face.

Lilly, for all of one hour, decided that the broom mop thingy was the coolest thing in the world.

Delving to Deeply into Photoshop

In my Photography and Compsiting 2 class we have been playing with advanced HDR and Panorama Options. We have been ranging from the photorealistic all the way down into the surrealistic. Check out some samples.

Alpine Loop1

Alpine Loop2

Alpine Loop3 - This one was interesting. We set up the tripod and marked its location with rocks. I took the Panorama, then I came back that night and took the panorama again to get the stars. Lesson Learned from this: Never play Jazz in the Canyon at night. You will attrack Elk. I left before it actually reached me, because Amorous or Angry, I did not want to find out.

Adventures in InDesign

I am taking a personal finance class this semester. One of our assignments is to create a financial roadmap and make it look good. As I am also learning publishing software, I decided to do the whole thing in InDesign. Here I present to you the section pages I have completed so far. As the page layouts usually have sensitive information, I will not be showing many if any of those.

The Roadmap portion of the title made me think route 66, and it all kind of snowballed into a 57 chevy theme from there. Most of the center images are not mine, as I did not have the time to actually sit down and make some.
