photogent.com

Say goodbye to this old layout:

I have created a modified version of photogent that is now based on a whole new engine.  There is better scrolling for the side menu, new gallery types, categories, new colors, and even image titles on the mouse-over.  Eventually there will be a functional updates page and descriptions on some of the images.  This new layout allows for updates in minutes instead of hours, so when Paige and I go road-tripping this summer I can add new images or temples anytime I have an internet connection.  Click the image to check it out!

It's a...Boy?

We always seem to end up getting the ultrasound to early.  What we think is 20 weeks turns out to be less than that.  Combine that with the inherent stubbornness of our children so far, and you end up with 30+ minutes of ultrasound that not only do not conclusively prove the gender but do not get all the measurements they need.  This then "requires" us to come back and get a second ultrasound later.

This one however appears to be about 80% certain on the gender.  Here, let me show you:

That's either the hand between the legs, or... not.  She could not quite be sure, but called it about 80 percent probablity of a boy.

Our Own Little Winston Churchill.

Unlike his Father, this child has backbone.

So for the time being, we are calling it:  James Arthur Olson is due September 7, 2011. James is Paige's Father's middle name, and Arthur is my Dad's first.  We liked James Arthur Olson better than Lee Gregory Olson.  Yeah, we are so Original.

Before the inevitable, we chose this name long before we figured out any other connotation the name may have implied, therefore I would like to disclaim right now that "Any similarity or relation our children's names bear to characters fictional or otherwise imaginary is purely coincidental."

Semester's End

I'm a little stressed out today. I had a bad math test this morning, and I have a nice pile of homework to carry me right through the next week and a half.  I need this summer break.  I also need to sit down and write the 5 or so posts that I have been meaning to.

In the meantime, tide yourself over with this parody of Katy Perry's "Firework" performed by BYU's Divine Comedy as an homage to Harry Potter.

Shoe

I knew an old baby who lived in a shoe

She ate all the shoelaces and did not know what to do...
