Lilly Addicted

First, in answer to all the questions in all the comments, yes, and the Due Date (Approximate) was in last Monday's post.

On to the topic.
Ocean spray makes thes rasins from cranberries that they have creatively called Crasins.  Lilly is assicted to them.  We had to go to Costco to get some more, and as we passed them on the aisle she pointed and made this little grunting sound that I have begun to equate with "gimmie."

We acquired two bags, and she would not sit still until I gave her one which she hugged like a Teddybear all the way through checkout.  At this point she could wait no longer and got antsy and whiney until mom opened a bag and gave her some.  It's crazy to watch.  Here, check her out on a good crasin day:

Biding Time.

So last month while we had construction folk wandering all over the premises, I needed something to do. So, as per the usual, I built for Google Earth. Due to the Holidays, Google took along time getting through these. So long, that they still have not gotten to 4 of the group I did. Anyway, here is the half a group they did get to just this morning, even though I made them a month ago.

Piggies

She finally has enough hair to put into little pigtails.

Little girl hair is fun. And, now that she has hair, she is old enough to be a big sister.

A Comic

XKCD has its funny moments, but i do not recommend it for the general public. Sometimes its humor is inappropriate. that being said, this comic is clean and funny.

A Video

Loved this sketch. It's like a perfect blend between Abbot and Costello, and Monty Python.

More Math for Me.

This semester finds me taking MATH 1050, for reasons that don't need exploring right now. I am also taking a course on Microsoft Excel. I noticed yesterday, due to Excel's functions, that many of the symbols on our keyboards seem to have no function other than math or computer programing. Since math was discovered first, I can only conclude that most of our keyboard symbols were invented for math purposes, to denote types of numbers, like % $ or #, or for higher functions like < > [] {} or ^ (used for exponents.) My favorite is the tilde, ~, which is used for approximate values. It got me thinking. Can I use ~ in everyday life more often? I have to wonder, if next time I am in the drive through, can I order a ~4 instead of a #4. I mean, what they are going to give me is only going to be ~ compared to the photograph on the menu anyway, right?

Oh, hey, here's a good one. ~ 2011 08 27.
