Milling About and Making Bank.

I have been very busy in Pipeline and rendering class. This is a class in which we work through a project or two and learn the way to work as a team to accomplish a 3d project.  We are working on a fun project right now that requires an old west town.  In black and white even, that's how old west it is.  My assignments are rather numerous.  I am Technical Director, am in charge of gathering the props and placing them into the town, am building the terrain, am in charge of prop management, am co writing the animatic with Three others, am co team lead for surfacing (textures), am blog coadministrator and am a modeler. This is in a class of 30 people.  Most people have one job, some of us more.  This is what I get for having a work ethic.  Thanks Dad.

Anyway, besides the terrain, here are my 2 buildings from town, the Old Mill and The Bank.

"Watcha got there is a classic right-hand overshot counterclockwise bucketed water mill capable of speeds in excess of 10 RPMs. Yep, she's a buet'."
-Ol' Crusty

The Bank is what we call a "Hero Building", meaning it will be the immediate backdrop in certain shots, and therefore has very high detail.

Lilly Conquers mount Stairmore.

I come home from school, set lilly in the middle of her toys, set my bookbag down, pullout my laptop, plug it in, and suddenly hear this half distressed half annoyed "ehhhhhhhhhh. EHHHHHHHHHH."

I turn around to find that in a matter of seconds, Lilly has traversed 10 feet of carpet, and, well, just look.

All by her little lonseome.  Nothing is safe anymore.

I am taking a story boarding class. It has, so far, has been rather fun. I seem to be rather good at it. These are the story board frames I was assigned for a class project. They are the opening scenes from a story titled "The True Story of Hansel and Gretal". I might do the other frames later, or I might post the other artists sets of frames, or I might tell you the rest of the story.

Or I might just leave you hanging.

Lilly Bits 3

I think I also do these just to see if I can fake out YouTube's content filter for the music.  They got me on this one.

Lilly Bits 2

So Lilly found a network cable, decided it is the coolest thing this side of the half hour mark, and intends to become an IT professional. (if not that, there is always ribbon twirling.)

Okay, the other reason I make these videos is to play with audio editing techniques. I this and the spinning one, the music is my reedit of an existing song.

Basically for the Grammas. And Posterity.

Lilly has this new ability to pull herself up on stuff.
It can be disconcerting when you go in to calm her when she has been crying and instead of finding her lying in the crib screaming, ready for a pacifier, she is standing up, staring you down with big red eyes and runny nose...

Heart-wrenching.

This is just cute. I decided to upload little videos this week because we have a private blog just for Lilly to be her journal when she gets older. This is mainly for that.

So here you go, Lilly whispers all the secrets to life. There will be a quiz.

Lilly Bits.

I am not thoroughly impressed with the quality of video our cellphones can do, but it'll do in a snap.

Lilly is going to go on all the Roller coasters with her Mom that Dad can't stand.

Teeths.

So, someone pointed out that on this picture here:

Lilly has Teeth. Two of them. There is a reason I did not post this earlier. Taking pictures of teeth is hard. Here is my first attempt:

Please enjoy Fugitive Motel by the band Elbow While I gather and schedule stuff to post for the rest of the week.

Album: Cast of Thousands

Also, we are now on a fall layout. I really like this one. If I cannot adapt it to winter, I am going to just keep this one for a while.

Panorama Series, Part 0?

So, I have been going through pictures, and I find that I have been taking pictures with the apparent thought of making panoramas longer than I have actually known how to take panorama pictures. So here are a few I did and just combined.

This is the Smith family farm, south of Palmyra New York.

Here are two of San Diego.

And Here is Twin Falls Idaho.

We went to see the Draper Temple this last week. You know, I don't think Lilly has ever been to Mount Timp, right around the corner.

Mesa Arizona Temple

Does anyone read blogs anymore?  or are you all like me that you scan the post, look at the photos, then check the text if and only if the photo needs an explination?

Here we are at Mesa Arizona Temple

Only one this week.

It took several Days to get Google to accept this model.  Primarily because you cannot actually see the Temple on the satellite image.  Here is Twin Falls Temple.  If you want to see something cool, check out the way it looks from the Snake River Canyon.

All The Lonely People

Well plans do change in a heartbeat. This weekend was to be a trip down to Nevada to visit Paige's parents. Last night after a day of achy legs I suddenly began shivering like it was 28 degrees wherever I stood. When ones internal thermostat losses calibration by 40+ one can only assume it is the flu. So, At my encouragement, Paige and Lilly packed off to Nevada, and I have slept no more than 2 hours in a stretch for the last 24 hours. So Now that I am lonely and bored, I will post for you some pictures.

Here are pictures of Lilly, Paige and Myself at Gila Valley Arizona Temple in Central Arizona.
