Share and Share alike.

I would like to share a recent school project with you. By which i mean I would like to show off. The point of this particular project was that we had to take one picture, and create 2 album covers for a band, real or fictional. Using just editing and font styles we were to create 2 separate genres.

Before I post the pictures I made, I would first like to tell you about a fun moment Paige and I had. We were driving south on I-15 and I noticed a piece of debris being stirred up and flipping through the turbulence left behind by many a road traveler. As the flotsam passed us by I noticed that it was in fact, a fully inflated balloon animal.

This strange wildlife sighting led to many thoughts in my head, like a Disney-esque long voyage home movie featuring only balloon animals, but eventually it led us to the band name I used here.

A Whole New World

I've done it.
The day has come that I never thought would come.
I...

bought baby clothes.

My world will never be the same.

The Whole Story?

Trips down memory lane are fun. Brian started this week on a project that we meant to do ages ago. (It got shelved with the DVD of photos from our wedding, checking to see if all our music has the correct tags and others like it)

He has started compiling our electronic dating history, with added comments and memories, into a readable format. Like a "how I met your mother..." story for us and Lilly and others to come (hopefully).

It is really funny for me to go back and see that my "super secret" friendship was nothing of the sort. EVERYONE knew and was hoping....but kindly left my ignorance intact.

Such a sneaky, sneaky man.

Please Respond . . .

I received quite the bit of response to my final drawing from last semester's art class. I had already received one request for a copy before posting, and now I have received many more. When I grow up...

Got this from a parent. I want to be just like him when I grow up.

"Hi Mrs. Olson,

It is late Wednesday night and we are trying to pull together [student's] PowerPoint Presentation which just died an unceremonious death by accidental deletion.... I am trying to figure out how to recover the file but we may have to redo the whole thing. Also, I'm having no luck downloading the packet you handed out while these little darlings were running out the door to go to lunch. (In the future would you please staple any assignments through his shirt and into his pectoral muscle?? Preferably with a barbed hook? He is the KING of the 11:28PM "I forgot it at school" moment.... fantastic kid otherwise) [Student] says that the file associated with your "Introduction and Technology" link is the wrong one. Pretty sure I already passed Junior High so I'm really enjoying this. Anyway.... could you PLEASE give me a little direction and maybe attach the proper files and I will work with him to get them done. Congrats on the forthcoming baby!!! And don't think too much about the 12 years of homework you have coming your way :)

Thanks!
