By request...

A friend recently asked us to post some of our favorite wedding photos, which reminded us of how much we've let slip the last few months. We have been feverishly occupied by multiple home-improvement projects (my doing, of course) that have kept us from completing some of our other projects...like getting wedding photos out to various friends and family. The plan is, once I've finished prepping for summer school (and take my class and both Praxis tests...), to put together a DVD to give out. (Ask me about it in July....I'll probably need the accountability.)

Anyway, here my top favorites of just us. As a side note, I printed 97 to go into a photo box in our living room; let me tell you there are so many more fun ones to show (eventually).

Enjoy!

It must have seemed like a good idea at the time...

So one of the things that finally pushed us to start a blog was all the crazy things we find to laugh at that we want to share.

I've been dying to share this one, I can wait no longer.

I Dare you to listen to the whole thing.

What's in a name?

As is probably all to common in these kind of things, it becomes us to explain the title of our Blog. After minutes of deliberation we settled on a line from a favorite song. The song is learninglivinglving (not a typo) by Gotye (also not a typo) The oh so clever line is the opening one.

"If you always try to get to the top,
You don't get to the bottom of nothing."
Okay, so that really has nothing to do with us personally, we just thought it fun and clever.

Now that we have mentioned him, let's introduce him. Gotye is a one man band from Melbourne by the actual name of Wally De Backer. He plays drums (this much I know from one of his videos) and sings and writes his own music. The Rest of his Band consists of samples and loops woven into new compositions covering a variety of Genres. As one of my current top favorites we will be posting more of his works, but for now, here is learninglivingloving.

Album: Like Drawing Blood
Recommend: The whole album

Everybody else was doing it . . .

. . . So we jumped off the cliff too.

After months of keeping an eye on family blogs, we were starting to feel a tad bit left out. We liked keeping tabs on everybody, especially when they would share pictures and by golly we wanted to show off as well.

So there you have it. (A letter opener.)
