Hope, Love and Joy - Flower Pot Chick - From The Heart

Well I don't know about you but I am glad to see the end of this week. From the bombings at the Boston Marathon to the explosion in the town of West here in Texas it has been a hard week for everyone. My thoughts and prayers are with all those touched by these tragedies and hopefully we can look forward to more peaceful times.
I hope my bright Springy card can bring a smile at this time.

Celebrate the Joy of Springtime From the Heart

We have had some beautiful Spring Sunshine earlier this week in Texas, sorry to mention it if you are still experiencing snowy weather, and it makes me ready for outside activities, some gardening and to enjoy the warmer days before Summer comes barreling down on us.
So when I saw this cute image from Faith at From the Heart I knew I had to make a Spring card with it. I added a bow to Ali's hair, it reminds me a little of the headscarf that "Lucy" wore :)

I did a little layering on this bunny, a really easy image to do it on and I think it made a big difference to the dimension.
This is a bit brighter than the usual Easter palette but I think it works and it sure does make me smile and I hope you smile too :)

I did a little paper tole with the image, it is fun but I really need some new scissors, mine aren't quite sharp enough :)
I also decided to have a try at a paper bow, I know there are very 2010 but I wasn't so involved in card making then and the trend passed me by.
The papers and the softness of the colors remind me of an old fashioned parlor, the striped paper looks like wallpaper to me!
