Randomness

Surprise...it has been way too long since I've posted, so here are some random pics and updates of what we've been doing this summer.

Yes, I realize that this picture is sideways, but until I take the time to rotate it, just tilt your head. :) The exciting news is that Boston is now almost potty-trained. It is definitely a roller-coaster, but right now we're having more successes than not, so I'm ecstatic. My hope is to have only one child in diapers at a time...cross your fingers for me! 3 1/2 weeks to go!

One of Boston's new fascinations is tractors. This one was parked in our neighborhood for awhile and he loved it. Every time we drove past, he would say "Bye tractor, see you later!".

We had a great 4th of July. We kicked it off with breakfast and the parade. This picture cracks me up. Contrary to what his expression might make you think, Boston had a good time. The girls were cute and helped him collect a nice stash of candy...he preferred to wait in his chair instead of gathering it up.

We later met up with a bunch of friends for our annual KFC and fireworks in the park. Boston was so excited to see Hannah and Sam. We'll save this pic for their wedding video. :)

Who needs a jungle gym when you've got Brett?

We were lucky to have my mom come for a visit, too. We did lots of fun things, including Wheeler Farm. Boston, Mason and Corbin loved playing in the water...

riding on the tractors....

and seeing all of the animals. I kept thinking there was something wrong with this pig and saying it over and over to my mom and sister, until my sister saved me from embarrassing myself any further and told me that there was nothing wrong, it was just a boy pig. Oops...a little embarrassing! :)

We also had a great time at Lagoon, where we joined Brett's family for their Stake Lagoon Day. Boston had so much fun riding the rides with Ethan and loved going on the animal train. Yes, that's dirt on Mason's face...he and Boston also had fun playing in the dirt while they waited for others to go on rides.

Boston loves the temple and was so excited to go to the temple open house. He talked about it for days!

Jammin' out with the guitar...

Coolin' off with the slip'n slide. Good times! Mason's swimsuit never fails to crack me up...love it!

Ummmm....no comment.

Boston also celebrated his second birthday. I can't believe he's already two! Time flies by way too quickly! He's such a fun kid and makes me laugh every day...I just wish the time would pass a little more slowly!

Boston had a great time riding his new tricycle in the 24th of July neighborhood parade. Brett's back will never quite be the same time, but Boston thought he was one cool kid!

I think Boston is on a growth spurt. His naps, which used to last sometimes just 45 minutes, are now often 3 hours. My house has actually been clean for once! :) This one cracks me up because he was so tired that he didn't even have time to eat the skittle (a.k.a. potty treat) in his hand before he fell asleep. Now that is one tired boy!

Boston wants to be just like his dad. He mimics everything Brett does...if Brett is sitting down, Boston copies his position. If Brett puts his arm around me, Boston does too. If Brett says something, Boston repeats it. Now it even extends to Brett's clothes, which you can see in the picture above. Good luck getting shoes on with those socks!
