Cheesehead Off-Road Bike Trail Race

Trenton and Nathan rode in a 10K (that 6.2 miles!!) off-road bike trail race last weekend. It was really tough because of all the rain we have had. They were covered in mud by the end, but they completed the whole thing! Trenton won 1st place in his age category (you'll have to ask him how many raced in his age category).

After the first lap. Only three more to go. Trenton was almost ready to quit at this point and didn't look too good, but he kept going!

Coming into the finish line! Hooray!

52 minutes! That's a good workout!

School Art Fair

Trenton's monkey. It had a belly button and a "Mom" heart tattoo on its arm.

We searched high and low to find Ashleigh's landscape painting on display.

Trenton made one too.

Ashleigh's lizard is on the bottom.

End of Year Fun

Owen performed in an end of the year celebration at his preschool. He knew all of the words and motions to the songs they sang for us. We'll be back there next year!

Ashleigh and her best friend at an end of the year school skating party. Ashleigh looks so much shorter because she had already taken off her skates.

Waiting in line to duct tape the lunch lady to the wall (see below). The kids loved this idea!

Trenton taught himself to skate at this party. He had pretty much given up on skating prior to this night, but he decided to try it one more time, and did great. He hardly fell the whole night and even did the chicken dance with everyone!

More Dallin

Dallin has such a great smile! Laughing at himself sitting in the truck.

We played with the buggy indoors for a week or two because it was too cold to play outdoors. The kids loved taking turns pushing Dallin all around the house.

Happy 1st Birthday, Dallin!

Dallin turned one May 20th! He is such a sweet little boy. He started walking around 11 months and now we can't stop him from walking. He loves to walk and is pretty much non-stop these days. He loves to dance to music and play with his sister, Ashleigh. She is a great babysitter of him. Dallin also loves to empty Mom's cupboards and help unload the dishwasher, even when Mom is trying to actually load it with dirty dishes. He is getting better about taking naps and sleeping through the night, but it is still a struggle for us. Dallin loves food of all sorts and thinks just about anything is food worthy if it will fit in his mouth. We got him the red buggy car for his birthday and he seems to enjoy spending time outdoors in it. Happy 1st Birthday, Dallin! Dallin wasn't too sure about having his own cake, but he quickly dove right in. I don't think he actually ate a bite of the cake.
Present time! Dallin loved opening his presents, just about as much as Owen and Ashleigh did :)

Go Reds!

Our family went to see the Cincinnati Reds take on the St. Louis Cardinals. It was a great game (mainly because the Reds won!) and the weather was beautiful! The kids actually sat through the whole game thanks to lots of yummy ballpark food! I see season tickets in our future once the kids get a little bigger!
