Andi is ONE!!

This little booger is one!!

What homegirl is up to:

Stats:16.5 lbs, 27.75inches
7th% weight & height
18th% head Still Teeny!!!

-Size 3 diapers, 9 mo clothes fit perfectly
-Has really increased her appetite. She will eat finger foods until she explodes, I'm convinced.
-Officially off formula as of last Saturday. Whahoooo!!!
-Shakes her head no and yes
-pats her head (well, more like her ear) when you ask her where her head is
-likes anything we are eating: fruit, any meats, bread (my kinda gal) and LOVES water. Can't get enough of it.
-definitely prefers to feed herself over been fed by someone else
-is on the go constantly. In to every little nook and cranny of this house.
-wants to be wherever Dean is
-sleeping a little later and later each day. Made it to 9am the other day after putting her down at 7pm!
-has a fake laugh that melts my heart
-has a baby temper that makes me cringe, ha!
-HATES getting her diaper changed. HATES it, I say!
-loves bath time with Sissy

In other news, we sold our house.

Sniff. I can't believe it's actually happening. I feel like it's all just a dream! We don't even have a house yet in MS which kinda stresses me out but I know deep down, it will all come together. The unknown is a little scary but we always seem to make it through whatever life throws our way. Hoping to have some answers soon!!

Almost 1!

Andi will be 1 in less than 2 weeks. How is this even possible? I feel like I just left the hospital with her!

What a joy she is. Here's what she's been up to:
-FINALLY sprouted 2 bottom teeth at 10 1/2 months. Teething has actually not been the most pleasant experience with Andi. I can tell when they are bothering her (pulls on her ear, won't eat solids, a little extra cranky, etc.)
-cruising like a pro everywhere. If she would just let go, she would easily be walking. Not gonna rush that though!!
-still teeny tiny. 9 month clothes fit perfectly right now. Will find out her exact stats in a few weeks at her 1 year well-visit.
-shakes her head "no" when you say "no-no" to her.
-in to EVERYTHING! Drawers, Tupperware, pots and pans...if it's in her path, she will find it.
-still very quiet. Will sit and play by herself with no problems.
-loves to feed herself although not much food actually enters her mouth. Sammy is loving this stage. :)
-typical schedule:
8:15am wake
10:30am nap
1pm nap
7pm bedtime
-very shy. If I'm holding her and someone approaches her to talk, she snuggles her head into my chest. I cherish this sweet stage.
-will drop whatever she's holding and say "uh-oh".
-will pretend to give me whatever she's holding then pull it away and shake her head "no".
-still drinking about 5 bottles a day...around 25oz. Favorite foods are baby cereal, apples and chicken, sweet potatoes, and peas.
-loves to dance. She hears even a hint of a beat, she's on it. Ugh, I just want to eat her up!!

Dean update:

-has officially moved to a big girl booster seat. She looks so old! I'm not crazy about this. I really liked the car seat. She couldn't wiggle around as much. Just another thing I'll have to get used to as she gets older. :(

-still doing excellent at school. Can write pretty much all of her letters and likes to "sound things out".
-talks. Nonstop. :)
-obsessed with curious George. Pretty much the only thing she will watch right now.
-got her very first set of golf clubs. She asks if she can "go to the course". It's hilarious.

In other family news, we are moving. :( Chaz got offered a job in MS so off we go! I am so proud of him and excited for the opportunities ahead. VERY sad to leave our family and friends...still in denial about it all really.

We put our house on the market last week and have had a ton of showings. We've basically been living in our car, ha!

Hopefully after the move, I will be a better blogger. Oops!! :)

10 months!

Itty bitty Andi is 10 months tomorrow!! 10 months!! I just booked her 1 year pictures and I'm honestly in disbelief. I feel like I just had her. I know everyone says that but it's true!!

At 10 months:
-yes. Still no teeth. It's now a joke that she will be walking before she has teeth!!
-speaking of walking, I feel it's very close. She cruises everywhere and easily moves from ottoman to couch. Turns her body to me and steps forward when I hold out my hands.
-LOVES to dance. Anytime music is on, goes nuts waving her hands wildly and smiling. Just like her momma and sissy :)
-is growing! Wears 9 month clothing, size 3 diapers
-sleeping later and later. Usually gets up at 8:15ish. Wonderful!
-mimics noises I make.
-eats anything I give her...still on stage 2 foods (majorly puréed food) since she's still toothless. I'm so afraid to give her anything more at this point even though her dr. said I would be surprised as to what she could gum. Just not comfortable with that since she HATES puffs and can't figure out how to eat them.
-she will not let me out of her sight. She always makes sure I'm around. She literally is attached to me at all times. Think hugging a tree trunk and that's her.

Nothing really new to report with Dean. She's still loving school, cheer, and dj-ing. Yes. She's a future button pusher. The kid loves playing music for everyone off the ipad and dancing to it. She kills me. Love that kid.

9 months!

Little, and I mean LITTLE Andi is 9 months old! I just took her in for her 9 month well-visit and here are her stats:

-15.1 lbs (6th percentile) 26in tall (4th), head 42.5cm (15th) SO TEENY! My doctor wasn't concerned (like I was when she got on the scale) since she's stayed consistently at the bottom of the growth charts.
-had her first ear infection...both ears! :(
-is now able to pull herself up to a standing position easily (this happened yesterday for the first time!)
-speaking of standing, I went in to get her up from a nap today and there she was, standing up in her crib waiting patiently for me. Needless to say, we lowered the crib AGAIN.
-NO. TEETH. Still drooling and putting everything in her mouth.
-6 month clothing, size 3 diapers.
-SO WIGGLY! Never sits still.
-just started pulling things off shelves. Baby proofing time.
-has been finishing her bottles at every feeding this week...and then some.

And of course, can't forget about Miss Dean:

She got her first report card and it was all satisfactory. I was really proud of her!! It was the most detailed report card I've ever seen and it proves to me she's in the right place and thriving in school.

What she's into right now (which is probably a repeat of older posts, but just so I remember):

-puzzles
-crafts of any kind
-playing mommy to her dolls
-playing in "baby jail" with Andi. (Not kidding, they could play in here for hours if I'd let them!)

-singing, dancing, making jokes
-favorite foods: yogurt, sonic mini hot dogs, fruit, applesauce, jelly sandwiches, candy of any kind, asparagus, zucchini...despises potatoes, tomatoes, chick fila chicken nuggets, peanut butter (un-American), peppers of any sort.
-is loving cheerleading! So fun to see her learning cheers and tumbling.

Updates on us:
Chaz and I have a mini competition going on to see who can lose the most weight (body percentage wise) by June. We are in "operation Mexico" mode right now. We are going to celebrate our 10th anniversary in our favorite spot...the beach! I cannot stinking wait!! It soothes my soul to be near the ocean. I can't wait to take the girls when they are a little older.

I will say, I'm very proud of Chaz for being so willing to try new recipes and working out pretty much every day. However, may I add that I'm currently winning ;) I'm sure he will smoke me in the end because let's face it, he's a guy and they can just say they want to lose weight and lose 10lbs. Not fair.

New year!!

It's 2015!! What!? Maaaaan, I feel old! This is a big year for Chaz and I. We will celebrate 10 years of marriage. Yes, I was a child bride ;)

We had a great Christmas and vacation break, but I must say, I'm ready to get back to being on a schedule. Kids+no schedule=one loooooooong day.

Andi updates!
-will be 9 MONTHS in 3 days!!
-can easily go from lying down to pulling herself up to a sitting position
-crawling on all fours, although she's very cautious and goes at turtle speed and only for a short period of time
-is constantly sick with something...low grade fever, runny nose, cough, congestion, weird eye gunk...you name it, this kid gets it. I blame big sister bringing home germs from school and just the mere fact that we are always out and about where other kids are. Hopefully her immune system will be strong as an ox by the time she's a toddler. Fingers crossed.
-made it to 6 month clothes and almost to size 3 diapers
-not crazy about formula :( We are doing well to get her to take about 16 oz a day. Usually it's around 12-14oz.
-typical schedule:
7:30am wake, bottle, cereal
9am nap
10:30am bottle, veggie, and fruit
1pm nap
3pm bottle, veggie, and fruit
6pm bottle, veggie, and fruit
7pm bed time
(For the past few nights, she's decided to get up and party around 8:30-9:30. I have no idea why but she's SUPER sweet and SO happy during this time that I don't have the heart to stop it. Chaz made a good point that she's figured out she can get some one on one time with us and I think he may be right. She's snugly and smiley so she can do it all she wants!)
-STILL NO SIGNS OF TEETH!
-loves being where Dean is...this is nothing new, though :)

Followed Dean into her Frozen tent. She will sit in here and play quietly. It's precious.

Dean updates:
-been working on reading almost every day. We aren't quite there and don't want to pressure her.
-She easily recognizes the letters and is able to write if I spell a word out for her.
-she is very analytical and contemplative. I love this about her.
-loud. Very loud.
-has become a picky eater again although I can usually get her to down a few healthy staples, thank goodness.
-favorite shows: Sofia, Daniel tiger, curious George, Doc McStuffins
-learned to put together a puzzle by herself a few weeks ago and there's been no stopping her since. She loves puzzles!!
-starts cheerleading tomorrow. I can't wait to see how this goes, ha!!
-very, very sensitive.

Same ol same ol around here for Chaz and I. We are blessed beyond measure.

Bonnie :)

Lots of changes with our littles lately.

Andi:
-8 1/2 months
-officially weened as of yesterday. She's now exclusively on formula. I was wanting to ween her next month but she just was so distracted that feedings were less than 2 minutes. I'm sad this chapter is over but I will definitely NOT miss it. It's been a looooooong 8 1/2 months ha!
-army crawls everywhere. Not on all fours but is definitely on the move.
-says "ba ba", "da da", and now "ma ma".
-loves music. Just like Dean did. Definitely will be a dancer.
-all over the place! She's super wiggly!
-STILL no teeth! Not even a sign of puffy gums.
-tiny as ever!! Wearing 3-6 month clothes and size 2 diapers.

Dean:
-begins cheerleading in a few weeks. I think she's going to love it since she's definitely ALL girl.
-is thriving in school. She tells me daily that she loves going.
-only asked for two things for Christmas...a Barbie doll house and Shopkins.
-still very dramatic. She can be ridiculous lol!
-she's a wonderful big sister. She loves on Andi the way only a big sister can. I love watching them together.

My baking business has been booming...so much so that I've had to take a hiatus. This mama be tired!!!

Yes, it's been awhile

I can't believe how much I've slacked with the updates. Poor Andi, she's definitely the second child. I'll try my best and catch up!

Andi:

-she is now over 7 1/2 months old!
-still breastfeeding 4 times a day but eating solids 3 times a day.
-pretty much eats everything I give her EXCEPT green beans. Favorites are sweet peas, sweet potatoes, vegetable medley, and peaches.
-says "dada", "baba", and waves her little arm widely when you say "bye bye" to her.
-sits very quietly and plays so contently by herself.
-lights up when Dean walks into the room. Adores her big sister.
-still has NO TEETH. Drools a ton though.
-easily transitions from sitting to on her stomach, but not crawling.
-rolls everywhere.
-not sure how much she weights but is still tiny! Wearing 3 months in pants and 6 month onesies are big on her.
-beautiful blue eyes.
-wakes up anywhere between 6-7am, naps at 8:30-10:30ish, naps at 1-2:30, sometimes needs a nap at 5pm, in bed by 6:45pm
-still a very go-with the flow baby
-very much attached to me. Always makes sure I'm near when others are around.
-such a sweet and gentle spirit.

Dean
-4 years and 3 months :)
-still funny and quick-witted as ever.
-has a photographic memory
-never. Stops. Talking. :)
-is awesome with Andi. She plays so patiently with her. Helps me a ton with her...especially while cooking dinner. Usually Andi is fussy during this time and she's so good about calming her down.
-very sensitive and emotional. ALL GIRL.
-loves to dance. All the time. Looking forward to beginning cheer soon. I think she will love it.
-soccer was a total bust. Didn't like being pushed. Ha!
-LOVES school. Has done really well making friends.

Life is good. My girls are my everything. I am more than blessed and thankful.
