IT Show 2009

Bird was back from Cambodia on saturday afternoon :)

I wanted to go to the IT Show 2009 @ Suntec so we didnt go back to Jb. We went on Sunday afternoon by a direct bus from where we stayed, it was raining again. The journey took us more than an hour cos there was a TERRIBLE traffic jam -_-

When we finally touched down to Suntec, we saw the overhead bridge from Citylink was STUFFED with human. It was so damn crowded! I suspected at least 50% of the Singaporean appeared @Suntec together with me. I nearly suffocated to death 抓狂 lor... Luckily bird was with me, he protected me well =)

The second thing i noticed is... ... ... See picture below:

I called Jeremiah, wanted to find out where he is. He called me earlier saying he is going to IT show, jio-ed me to go together. Too bad lah, I'm going with bird. hee hee... He picked up the call in a crowd, he said he was moving slowly from Citylink, very very crowded. Oh yah...... Just now we saw the crowd, i was really worried about the narrow bridge -_-

We were famished. Again, finally made our way to "food area", and we picked Crystal Jade -- 翡翠小厨. After we sat down and ordered food, bird asked me, how come this is not the same as the one we went before? Last time that one (in Taka) sells 小笼包! -_-||| I told him that was not the same, though both restaurants belong to the same group. And later we found out there was really one 翡翠拉面小笼包 nearby, we regretted :S ... ... But but but... ... the food was nice, so okay lah~ Soon as we stuffed our stomach with food, we went back to the stuffed hall.

I wanted to get a portable harddisk, for all my life i've never owned a portable harddisk before. I really need one cos my toshiba's 200GB harddisk is 94% full :( When we finally made our way to the Maxtor/Seagate booth, we were told that the model i wanted is out of stock, HAIZ~ And there wasnt much choice also lor... Later, i picked a Seagate 2.5" FreeAgent Go 500GB, paid S$179, got a harddisk, a free pouch and 5 year limited warranty. At first, i picked Sky Blue casing, i was only given 4 choices for the 500Gb capacity. But when i was about to pay, i was told that they only have Silver or Black -_- (Who said Singapore's economy no good?!). In the end, I can only choose Black. I think it is my destiny, everything in black.

Lesson learnt: If you really want to get something in Singapore, get it FAST. Cos good offer doesnt wait, and Singaporean doesnt wait!

Why choose Seagate? Cos it is cheaper and they've been making harddisk for so many years, also, my mom works for Seagate mah, their business good, then i hope lower retrenchment rate lor :P

I forgot to blog about the new food i tried on last Thursday =P Probably i was too full and too lazy after that sumptuous meal. This is what happened on Thursday afternoon... ...

It was about another 30 minutes to knock off time, thundering and raining cats & dogs outside. I was msn-ing with suki, told her abt the thunder and rain, and how i crave for steamboat (again!!!). She was supposed to go jogging with her friend, but she called it off and we met up @Orachard Point for Mushroom Pot. If you love mushroom and you love steamboat, please go and try~ Nice! =D We ladies paid for the ladies' promo price for their dinner buffet, and we had 2 rounds of ordering. We just keep throwing food into the pot and let it boil boil boil, then serve serve serve. And we had fun self-making the meatballs :D

Picture & reading from -> suki's blog.

I've been nagging that i wanted to shop @the corner in lvl4 OG which sells a lot of Japanese products. Soon after we released outselves from the steamboat, we ran went there and start to shop! :D Suki was very 细心, she helped to ask the cashier lady if they are still open. Soon as i heard a "yes, but we only accept cash", i faster carried a shopping basket and put a few pack of Meiji biscuits into it. HOHOHO~ Below will be the shopping result lah~

come on 改变自己

Suki took this test, so do i. I dont really understand what i've answered, so could it be not that true? I dont know. Below is what it explained:

Your result for The Tri-Variable Personality Test (qualified psychologist) ... Test...

The Eccentric

You scored 30Artist, 45 Philosopher, 25 Scientist!

You live in a world of vast abstraction and color. You are hardly interested in the mechanics of real life; you are preoccupied with the substance of existence (the story and narrative, the symbolism), and the form and shape which life itself takes. You mix the mystical with the rational, like St. Thomas Aquinas, you find inroads between the sublime and the tangible ... you might have a propensity to let yourself go, though, in different ways. Everyday chores and responsibilities are not high on your list of passions; neither is any kind of "daily ritual" most likely. Your ideal work involves something that combines a medium for self expression (such as writing), with the inherent rationality and inquisitiveness of your philosophical side. You are very youthful in your demeanor.

You are a true representative of modern culture and society; with its shifts toward new systems of spirituality which combine ancient mysticism with classic reason. You are not preoccupied with wealth most likely.

Examples of Eccentrics: Timothy Leary, Stanley Kubrick, Socrates.

Quotes from "Eccentrics": "I am a little unusual, a little different and very unique."
