4 Days Until Hawkeye Football!!!!!!

Due to the fact that Hawkeye football kicks off this weekend, Kristen planned my birthday camping trip in the Shenandoah Mountains for last weekend. It rained most of the weekend and only 2 people almost fell in the fire but fun was had by all. The guy on the right is Roger McFeely, he went to Iowa also. Some of you guys may know him from school.

Unfortunately for me, Bill Schmoke was in DC last weekend but I was camping and unable to hang out with him. Bill, if are reading this, please come back and we will party hard. No fancy places like the Willard either.

Finally, porn videos are funny when coupled with music and Hawkeye football propaganda. Double anal is not funny when emailed with no explanation. What happened to the production work on the last video that was sent out?

Tailgating?

Where is everyone tailgating for weekend?? Let's get things organized so we all can be with each other like family. Also I am trying to put together a tailgating cd and would like some song suggestions, if you know of any let me know.

Kiss the Cubbies Goodbye...

Nomar is headed for the disabled list again and Aramis Ramirez just pulled his quad again. I don't know why I hold out hope for them every year. Wood and Prior have been steller this season. Good thing football season is a week away otherwise I'd start following the Pakistani National Cricket Team.

On the bright side the Bears look like real contenders this year. Oh wait, Grossman broke his leg and their #1 draft pick has vowed to sit out the entire season. I need to read more than just the sports page.

GO HAWKEYES!

Ireland was off the Hizzie.

I milked a cow. Kristen's cousin's still own and operate her Grandparent's family farm in County Cork so we dropped by and paid Dave and Bridy Riordan a visit. Those bitches put us to work herding cattle, milking cows and cleaning poop. Afterwards they made us dinner and as you might expect, I got hammered.

Some thoughts on Ireland:

The chicks are not hot. They all look like that bartender at Stigler's wedding.

The food is terrible. If you are into overcooked meats and french fries then Ireland is the place for you. Never saw a vegtable that wasn't a starch.

There are more pubs than people. We rented a house in Killarney, a town of about 10,000 people and I believe there were 11,000 bars.

Irish people have B.O. This is good and bad. Bad because they stink, good because it is totally acceptable for me to wear the same jeans for 8 straight days and not worry about offending anyone.

Irish people Love jerseys. No joke, I saw more Peter Warrick jerseys in Ireland than I would ever see in Cinncinnati.

Irish people love to drink.

Off to Ireland!

I am leaving for Ireland for 10 Days so I will not be posting anything for a while. I'm sure you guys can keep up the vigorous pace this blog has been at while I am gone. I promise to drink a Guinness, rip a Jameson and start a fight for every one of you guys reading out there. I think that totals 5 people. That sounds do-able. Peace, I'm outta here!

Cubbies

Seriously I left for vacation last Tuesday and the Cubs were not that far behind in the wild card race. I watched one game in which they lost while I was in Minnesota and then I get back from vacation and the Cubs being 6 games out of the wild card and behind Milwaukee for goodness sake. What happened to them? Are they even close to making it to the post season?

Thompson's Ride

Scotty had a chance to meet this lady one night and that was it. She teased him by emaling him pictures of herself so why not call her out and see if she has what it takes. Yes a wild ride indeed.

Roddick Wins the Legg Mason and Coaches Whore IOWA.

Slow weekend out on the east coast. The highlight was going to the finals of the Legg Mason Tennis Classic being held in Washington, DC. I went with a girl who is from Nebraska and therefore a Huge Andy Roddick fan. She made me wait with her by the press tent so she could get an autograph and a picture of him. Roddick beat James Blake in straight sets to win the final but the highlight was getting hammered in the suite with a bunch of stuffy tennis fans who were there for the tennis and not the free Singha Beer and Absolut Vodka.

Now, What's the deal with Iowa being ranked #10 in the USA Today/Coaches Poll? How come we can't ever get respect? How come Michigan and LSU are ranked ahead of us? I think I prefer Iowa to be the underdog but Iowa has finished in the top 10 the last 3 years and we still get no respect.

SEC FOOTBALL SUCKS!!!!

This is Kevin. He graduated from the University of Tennessee. If you see him on the street tell him SEC football is overrated. He lives with his parents.
