how many weeks are we...?

I had a doctor's appointment this morning and I thought I was 26 weeks, but my doctor came in and announced "5 more days and you're in the 3rd trimester!"
I had no idea.  All this week/month/mester business is confusing....In the end, we'll have a little girl around August 2nd.
My stomach and her heartbeat were all measuring perfect today, we're right on target.  And I didn't barf up my glucose juice from my blood test.

It's been awhile since we updated.  Let's see.  One of Ben's customers was kind enough to lend us her beach house in Rehoboth, DE.
The weather wasn't perfect, but we had a great time getting away from our apartment that is getting more and more crowded with baby stuff and big decisions...
We did lots of walking and went out to dinner.  It was great to get away since our weekends are already full until baby almost...plus I'm not supposed to travel after the last weekend in June.

April was my month for surprise date night, and I took Ben to an O's game.  Although I couldn't enjoy a beer or a hotdog...we had a blast.  Yet another nice time to take a break from baby business.
I seriously love almost everything about Baltimore....

Other than this, we've pretty much been trying not to stress out as we get ready for baby.  We're still in the house hunt...we still can't seem to find what we're looking for.  Our apartment guest room is now filled with crib parts (thanks Jer and Anne!), 2 strollers, a car seat, the baby bedding I'm sewing, and bins of baby stuff.  We're working on an action plan incase we're still in the apartment when she comes.

But everything is great, Steph is healthy and so is baby.

Let the sewing begin...

I've found since getting pregnant that I am super picky about baby stuff.  After looking for months for bedding I liked, or after finding out it was a girl, finding things that weren't 110% pink and girly...I've been sewing my own baby bedding.  I got half way through the crib bumpers yesterday!  (Final picture post to follow...)   I'm way happier with the fabric I bought and it's fun to put time and energy into something like this for her.

I have a million baby projects to finish at some point and yesterday I completed the nursing cover aka hooter hider.  I used this tutorial and ended up with something I love, in a print that I like way more than what I've seen in stores.
And here's a bump picutre from about 2 weeks ago for for kicks.  Literally, this baby kicks A LOT.

23 week-a-roos

And we forgot to take our weekly picture on Sunday, so we'll do that soon.

We had another ultrasound yesterday and got to see our daughter (big!) again.  She appears to be doing great and was moving around.   Steph thinks she looks like Ben...

We are getting more and more excited (and nervous) each week!  We are thinking we should start getting some "baby" things done sooner than later.  We had hoped to move before baby came, but we still haven't quite found the house we've been looking to buy.
Steph decided to take on the tast of sewing all her crib bedding so we've got a long list of "to-do's" ahead of us.  But she is well worth it!
