Happy Birthday Steph!

This week we celebrated Steph's birthday with dinner at Woodberry Kitchen! Dinner was delicious and we capped it off with the CMP!

Steph also received her first present from our baby, a calla lily plant(Steph's favorite flower).

Last night was our monthly date night, where one of us plans a surprise date, Ben was in charge of this month's date.
He figured what better way to appease his pregnant wife than Five Guys and Roller Derby. We ate burgers and fries and then went to Du Burns arena for some Charm City Roller Girls roller derby!

We wanted to get our baby girl into the sport early on. So we took her to an event in utero. That's right, we're having a GIRL!!! Seriously though, she is going to need a weight set in the nursery for start prepping for a career in roller derby.
We couldn't be more excited to be having a little girl and scared at the same time. Ben has already sworn off her dating until 30! Here she is!

Here are a couple of pics of Steph and our little girl (in the kitchen of course) from last week at 21 weeks.

Here is a picture of Steph from yesterday at 22 weeks. This little girl is huge! She kicks a lot, and we can even see her kicks through Steph's belly. Although Steph is already at the point that she gets a lot of "August? Are you sure that baby isn't coming sooner?...."

The ultrasound tech did say girl was her "guess" so if the news changes later on...we can all laugh at the switch-a-roo together.

More than halfway there....

Yes, we will post more pictures soon....we've been slacking with this blog business again.
But we are more than half way through the pregnancy!  Some days that's super exciting, some days super terrifiying!!!  We are so excited to meet this member of our family.  This baby loves to kick and move around (yes, they started moving at 16 weeks!), and we think it's going to be a fun one.

My friend Biz is having her baby girl in the next few weeks, and I've also been sewing up a storm, mostly baby gear.  I thought I would share the booties I sewed for Biz.  I need to get a pair going for our kiddo since they're going to be BFF's...

We'll put a biggger, more exciting post this week.

19 Kids and Counting

Or just one little baby at 19 weeks.

Ben has been teaching the baby the ins and outs of the landscaping business. He can't wait to have a helping hand.
