Christmas Morning at our house was wonderful! The girls all got exactly what they wanted. Lizzy got a High School Musical Moon Chair and the Mikki and Brylee both got Dora Moon Chairs. They sat in them most of the day. We all got comforters and movies and lots of stocking stuffers. Right down to the oranges and apples! But, the best part about Christmas was the card I got from the girls and Bo. Lizzy was way into shopping for other people this year. So, Bo took the girls shopping on Saturday. She was so into it. Well, they got me this card and, of course, I shed a little tear when I read it on Christmas morning. It made me feel good! If you can't read it in the pictures, this is what it says: "Hey Mom, with all the things you do during the holidays . . ." (inside) ". . . how do you still find time to be the best mom ever?" I was so happy to get this card and it just made Christmas this year even better! Hope yours was great too!!!!

The Stockings were hung . . .
One of my most favorite things to put out are our stockings. Our Christmas stockings are hand made by Grandma Bobbie. Every time we added a new addition to the family, that Christmas we always got a new stocking. However, last Christmas when I put the stockings out, Mikki was a little upset that her stocking was Green and Lizzy and Brylee's were red. We made a frantic call to Grandma Bobbie and she promised that this Christmas Mikki would have a red one. So, when we went to see Grandma Bobbie this summer, Mikki got her wish and Grandma had made her a new RED stocking to match her sisters! Aren't Grandma's GREAT!!! I love putting these out and thinking about Bobbie and Craig and how wonderful they are and how much we love them! Have a MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!!

Christmas Miracles
I am just going to add a little something extra to Trish's blog about Kyle. I remember when he was in the hospital and saying several prayers in the hospital. I remember the IVs and the tender care that every nurse and doctor gave to him. I wrote a paper in high school about a hero and I am pretty sure Trish wrote the same one and we both picked Kyle as our hero. He had been through so much but was a miracle to be around. Kyle has always had a special place in our hearts. Bo loves him to death and so do I. Good Luck at your wrestling match tonight and HAPPY BIRTHDAY buddy! Your the best! We love you! I wish I had a picture to show you. One more thing I want to add. I remember when Kyle was maybe 10. Grandma Bobbie came to mom and dad's for a short visit. Kyle was visiting with her and talked about making her a sculpture of two fish jumping out of the water and spraying water on each other. What everyone didn't know was that Bobbie already had that sculpture in her front yard. Kyle had never been to Bobbie's house. When our family went to visit Bobbie and Craig this summer, I got to see that sculpture and the first thing I thought of was Kyle. He was always in tune with everyones feelings. That is just how Kyle is! If you want to read Trish's blog about Kyle, just scroll down and click on Jesse and Trish on the left side of this page!

Cheese Cakes
One Christmas tradition we have started as a family is making Cheese Cakes. We make cheese cakes for teachers, friends and when we go home - family. We have a few families that have actually started asking if we are still going to make the cheese cakes as Christmas gifts. And, of course, we do. The girls love to help and watch their dad make the cheese cakes. YES! I said their dad. Bo does all the making of the cheese cakes. I just make sure that he has everything he needs to make them. We love them and so do the families and teachers that we give them to. This is one holiday tradition that I hope never gets old!

Lizzy
Lizzy turned 8 years old on Friday! Can you believe it? Lizzy is also one of my favorite Christmas memories. Since she was born the 14th of December, she was only just a couple of weeks old when Christmas rolled around. She was still so new and so little. That Christmas we spent it with all our family. We stayed with Mom and Dad and but also visited Rick and Vickie several times. I just can't beleive our little girl is 8 years old and ready to be baptized. She is sassy and definately loves school. We love you Lizzy!!!

Grandma Bobbie

I have been thinking about this for a couple of days, and I hope I get the time frame right. If I am wrong, Bobbie can correct me! I believe it was the first Christmas after Grandma Anderson and Poppie had past away. Bobbie came to Preston that year for Chrismas. Bo and I were staying in the upstairs bedroom in Grandma Anderson's old house (which Rick and Vickie know lived in). Christmas morning, Bobbie came running up the stairs and jumped on the bed and exclaimed Merry Christmas. I will never forget that moment. The excitment in her voice was just what we needed to get out bed! This is one Christmas memory I will never forget. I don't have any pictures from that Christmas since digital was not in, so here is the most current photo of Grandma Bobbie. We love you! See you soon!!!

Gingerbread Houses
I was recently released from my Young Womens calling. We changed ward boundaries and we were put in a new ward. Only about 5 Young Women from the old ward followed us to the new ward. So, just this past Wednesday, we had a little knock on our door and there stood one of the Young Women from the old ward with a beautiful Gingerbread House and a wonderful Thank You Note! The Gingerbread House filled our house with such a wonderful smell and the girls absolutely loved all the candy that they had stuck to it! Thanks again to all the Young Women and the leaders in the Cascade ward for being so GREAT! Love Ya!

Christmas 2003

This was the second Christmas we lived in Kennewick and we felt very blessed. We had two beautiful little girls. This was Mikki's first Christmas since she had just been born in May. We were so excited to see their faces light up. Mom and Dad Madsen came out that year for Christmas. It was very special and great to have them join us! This is definately one Christmas I will never forget!

Soccer
Today I am thankful for the opportunity Bo has had to coach soccer. Because of this, he had the opportunity to confirm one of our players this past Saturday. It was a wonderful evening. I am very proud of Bo for being able to confirm Katie. And, of course, we are very proud of Katie for making the decision to be baptized! Bo is a wonderful husband, dad, and coach for all these girls! WE LOVE YOU BO!! XOXOXO
