We had about 10 inches of snow in Delta last Friday so Saturday morning we were out playing in it.  Paisley loves the snow as does Brandon.  McCoy and I are more inside bodies when it is cold and snowing but we had to get out and enjoy it.  The kids wanted to make a snowman so we got started.  It ended up that Brandon and I did most of the snowman while the kids ate the snow and made angels!

We were rolling the body all together and McCoy slipped and we about rolled the body over him!  He thought it was so funny.
We had a snowball fight and you can tell that I won the fight.  Brandon ended up burried!

Our finished snowman!

Happy Birthday McCoy!

This year McCoy wanted a rocket cake.  He has really gotten into planets and rockets so we decided that would be the theme.  I got the idea for the cake online and got the rest of the decor at Wal-Mart.  I decorated while he was at school and when he came home he was so surprised to see it all he screamed!

While the kids started to arrive we started out by having them put together a puzzle of the planets.  Then each of them got to decorate their own galaxy.
I had planned on doing this zip line outside but that morning it started to snow and didn't let up.  Brandon and I rigged the line up in the living room instead and it ended up working out just fine.  I think this was the favorite part of the party.  We had rocket races for most of the time.  I asked the kids, "Ok, are you ready to open presents now?" and they all said, "No!"  So we had a few more races till we moved the kitchen for presents and cake.
Thanks to all the cute kids who came and gave Coy such cute gifts.  He loved them all!

Happy Birthday McCoy!  We love you!

Party Pinata

This is the pinata I made for Paisley's birthday party.  My sister said it looked more like a turnip than a strawberry!  I watched a tutorial on you tube on how to make one and thought I would add some extra layers just in case it wasn't strong enough.  Needless to say each kid in the party got lots of swings and didn't crack it.  We finally got one of McCoys friends to bust it open.  I was busy filming it with the video camera so I didn't get any great photos of them hitting it.  They enjoyed it though.

Happy Birthday Paisley!

We celebrated Paisley's birthday this year with Strawberry Shortcake.  I made the cake and cupcakes for her and she loved them.  We had lots of decorations and had such a fun time with all her friends and cousins that came.
Paisley has made some cute friends while here in Delta.  She also had some of her cousins join us for the celebration.
Kate, Paisley, and Aliza.  Cute girls!
Brandon's sisters, Andrea and Heidi, and brother, Bradley and their families surprised us by coming.  It was such a great surprise.  Paisley loved having her cousins with her.
It turned out being such a perfect day.  The kids arrived and we started off by playing, "Button Button Whose Got the Button."  This is a funny game playing with 4 year olds.  Then we had a bunch of races through the yard.  After the races the kids had fun busting a pinata I made.  After the candy and prizes were collected the kids enjoyed the cupcakes and ice cream before heading home.  Paisley got so many nice presents and enjoyed her special day with those she loves.

Halloween Party

We had yummy treats for our Halloween party.  I made these cupcakes for the kids to enjoy.  Each family got to decorate their own haunted house!  We had a great time with all the kids together playing.  I love it when we can all get together.

This year was so fun trick or treating with the kids.  My Mom's neighborhood is packed with kids so there were plenty of ghosts and ghouls, and candy gallore!  McCoy kept saying he needed more energy so he had to eat a piece of candy between homes.  He loved his Peter Pan outfit and Paisley demanded to be a PURPLE butterfly this year.

My brother and sister and their families all came to Delta for a Halloween party.  We had a lot of fun decorating haunted houses, eating mummy hotdogs, and eating creepy cupcakes.

Sleeping Beauties

When my brother and his family came and stayed for a weekend in October we rearranged rooming quarters for all the kids.  I put Paisley in McCoy's room while the cousins slept in her room.  The first night we put Pais and McCoy to bed and went back upstairs to visit.  I went down a few hours later to check on them and was a little worried when I couldn't find McCoy in his bed!  I looked around and finally saw him cuddled up with Paisley in her sleeping bag!  My heart just melted.  I got this picture before moving Coy to his bed for the rest of the night.  It was pretty cute.
