Happy Anniversary!!!

5 years baby!!!! I can't believe it's been 5 years today! Man that makes me feel old. But I just wanted Brock to know how much I love and appreciate everything he's done for me and our little family. I am so blessed to of found a man like you! You're not only my husband and the father of our 2 wonderful kids but you are my best friend. I love spending time with you. Even when it's just laying on the floor watching TV. We always have fun together. I love having dinner parties at our house and working together in the kitchen. I am so lucky to have a man that enjoys cooking and trying knew things. I love how competitive we get when we play each other in games, whether it be pool, HORSE, or even pictionary! Brock, I love you with all my heart and am so blessed to be married and sealed to you for time and all eternity!
Happy Anniversary!!!

NAVY GRADUATION!!

HE DID IT!! Brock finally graduated from boot camp!! Oh it was so great to see him!! Myself and Brock's parents flew out Thursday afternoon to Chicago for Brock's graduation Friday morning. We got to the Recruit Training Center about 7:30 am and it took us about half an hour our to get through the security check and to our seats. The Graduation Ceremony didn't start til 9:00, so there was a lot of waiting. The ceremony started with a drum line which was really cool followed by marching of all the state flags. That was really cool too! Next this big garage door opened and there they were!!! Each division marched in together. Brock's division was last. There was a total of about 10 divisions so about 760 sailors graduating. Each time a division was called in the crowd went wild. Everyone was so excited to see their son/daughter, husband/wife march in. What a cool thing to see. Then there was a lot of talking which seemed to go on forever, probably because Brock was right there and all I wanted to do was just run down there and give a huge hug and kiss. Anyway, the graduation ceremony lasted about an hour and a half. After I ran down and gave him a big hug and kiss and I didn't want to let go. We were able to talk to him for about 15-20 minutes and then he had to go and move his stuff over to his new building he was going to stay in because of his medical hold. Allen and Delsa flew home Friday afternoon and I was able to stay the whole weekend and spend time with Brock. We were together Friday from like 2-8pm. Then I picked him up the next morning at 8am and we were together til 8 pm, then the same times on Sunday. I wasn't ready for the weekend to be over but I know we will be together again soon. Here are some pictures and video from graduation. I wish I could of taken some pictures outside on base, but we weren't aloud too. It is so green and pretty on base. Tons of trees and flowers! Congratulations Brock, we are all so proud of you!!

Brock's division marching inside. It's was the coolest thing to watch each division march in! Everyone was so excited!!

Cali Trip Woohoo!!

Ok so last week my mom, my little sister, myself and the kids took a trip to Cali to visit my older sister and spend some quality time together just us girls and Owen. We left Wednesday and just got back today (Sunday). The kids did really well the drive there and back. We had to stop a few times and let Owen run and be free for a moment. The kids had a great time at the beach. This was Owen first visit to the beach and he loved it! Marissa had a great time too playing with sissy (Melissa) and Monica. We also took the kids to Long Beach Aquarium. Owen was unsure about it at first. We watched the Sea Lions swimming around and that totally freaked Owen out. Every time they swam by the glass Owen would squeeze my neck so hard. He did the same thing at the shark tank. He didn't ease up and until we got to the tropical fish and he saw all the bright colors and the fish weren't bigger than him. It was so fun shopping and hanging out at the beach just us girls (and Owen). Thank you Melissa for letting us crash at your place! You are an amazing sister! Can't wait to see you again!

Celebrating our 4th of July

I've always considered myself patriotic but this year was just a little more special. I am so grateful for all the men and women who fight for our country and keep us safe. I am also so grateful for a loving husband who will do whatever it takes to take care of his family. Brock is an amazing husband and father. He is an amazing provider and I am truly lucky to call him my husband.

This 4Th of July weekend we went up to Show Low like every year to watch the parade, eat my father-in-law's super delicious steaks and watch the fireworks. I swear we have the best seats in town, right in my in-laws backyard. Don't have to deal with the traffic or crowds and they shoot them off not far from their house. I love it up there! It was weird not having Brock up there. We have gone up every year for the past 5 years and this year he wasn't there. I teared up a few times when I thought about it.

Well, another amazing thing happened this weekend, Brock called on Friday afternoon and we were able to talk for 45 minutes!!!!!!!!!! Oh, it was so great! I needed to hear his voice. He's going great. He said boot camp is so easy. The hardest thing about it is just being away from the kids. Well he graduates from boot camp in less than 3 weeks. Oh my gosh, I'm so excited I can't even stand it!!!! Allen and Delsa are flying out with me on Thursday and will be there for Graduation on Friday, then they will fly out the same day and I'm going to stay through the weekend because Brock has liberty (vacation) the whole weekend. So we are going to spend some quality time together if you know what I mean, *wink wink*. Ohh I'm so excited!

Marissa watching the parade!

Owen watching the parade. That lasted for about 5 minutes. He just can't sit still for more then a second before he's ready for something new.

5 weeks down 3 more to go

Well, it's been 5 weeks now and it feels like it's been 100 :( I miss that guy like crazy!! I thought I would be use to him being gone by now but I'm not. Not to sound all lame and stuff but I miss him so bad it hurts. I get letters from him 3 days a week now which is great!! I haven't talked to him in 2 weeks but that means I should be getting a phone call soon, I hope. He says in his letters that he doing great! As far as the physical/workout stuff boot camp is easy. It just being away from the kids is what's hard. He's had a lot of physicals/medical exams done (x-rays and stuff) and they ended up finding something on his right lung. They don't think it's anything serious but they took another X-ray just to make sure and when they did they ended up finding something on his left kidney! They think it's just a cist on his kidney but they're going to do an ultrasound just to make sure. Man, alive what's going on here. This is not suppose to be happening! They also told him they want to check his lung in 3 months to make sure it hasn't grown. And if they end up doing that then he'll have to stay at boot camp for another 2 months!!! NOOOO, that just broke my heart when he said that!! But all in all he's doing alright. He graduates on July 24th and I'm counting down the days til I can see him!!! I'm so excited, hehe!!
Well, I've been working and packing the house! What a job that has been. We have a lot more stuff then I thought! I'm going to be making a pretty big donation to D.I. in the next couple of weeks. It's crazy how much stuff you accumulate in 5 years. Here are a few pics of the last couple of weeks.
Owen eating a fudgesicle (if that's how you spell it??) There was more on him and his high chair than in his mouth!
Marissa made Sponge Bob out of play dough. I know, I know I can't believe I let her watch that show. SSSHHH, don't tell dad!

Taking things off the walls :( My house looks so bare now!
This is just from the laundry room/office. You don't want to see how many boxes are in the master bedroom!!
