Hey there!

I don't even know what to say.  It has been over a year since I posted on here...sorry about that.  Well, I'm here and I didn't forget that I have a blog.  I need to do a better job posting on here.  I have done a really bad job at taking pictures of my kids and all the outings and day to day adventures we have.  I will make a better effort of doing that.  Here are just a few pics over the last 15 months since i posted last.  (Dillon's first visit to the beach.  Marissa and Dillon swinging together 4th of July, family pics at Coronado beach July 2012 and last Dillon playing at Owen's preschool Dec 2012).

Little Dillon

These are pics from the hospital. My older sister took a bunch on her camera, and I'll get those soon to post.
Dillon came so unexpectedly and so fast. I went in on Friday Sept 9th for my normal 36 week check-up and when they checked my blood pressure it was really high. The doctor didn't even come in to see me they just told me that I needed to go to triage and they were going to monitor my blood pressure there. They didn't even want me to go home to get Brock and the kids but I told them I had to, we only have one car and if I don't go get them then they wouldn't have a way to the hospital.
I get checked into triage and they hook me up to a blood pressure cuff and then monitors around my belly for the baby and about 20 min after I get there Dillon's heart rate dropped really low. The nurses came rushing in and had me roll over onto my side. Luckily his heart rate came back up. At that time Brock and the kids left to go get dinner because the nurse told them I would be here awhile so they left to go eat. I was there for about an hour when Dillon's heart rate dropped again, this time not as low and didn't stay down for that long. Brock called me to get an update and at the time I had no clue that I was going to stay but I called the nurse in to get an update and that's when she informed me that I wasn't going to go home and that they were going to induce me. Wait what!?! The doctor came in to tell me the reasons why she didn't feel comfortable sending me home and while she was doing that Dillon's heart rate dropped again this time it didn't go back up very quickly. Nurses came rushing in and started wheeling me up to a delivery room. The doctor told me to call Brock right away and get him here. Also my older sister happened to be in Cali for the weekend for her husbands work bbq (she was about 2 hours from San Diego) I called her and had her drive down to get the kids so Brock wouldn't miss the delivery. Oh what a blessing that was.
Thankfully by the time they got me up to delivery Dillon's heart rate came back up and they didn't have to do an emergency c-section. The nurses got an IV going and started on the petocin (not sure if that's spelled right). Not long after that I started feeling contractions. Brock and the kids got there and hung out for about 2 hours before my contractions got too intense and I wanted an epidural. Brock took the kids out of the room and while they were gone Melissa (my older sister) got there and was transferring car seats when I started feeling the urge to push, they checked me and I was already at 10cm. The doctor came in and told me Brock better get up here now cuz it is time to start pushing. I called Brock and told him it's time and so he came running up. Not even 10 seconds after Brock got back to the room Dillon was born. I literally pushed 3 times and on the third push Dillon was out.
What the heck!!! We weren't ready for him to come yet but thankfully everything ended up working out just right. Thank you Melissa for making the 2 hour drive down to SD to watch my kids, you were a life saver!

Welcome to the world Dillon Jack Frost!! We are so happy you are here!
Dillon was 4lbs 6oz and 18" long. He was way smaller that any of us expected.
