August AZ trip

In August we went to AZ to welcome Ben's little brother Kevin home from his mission.
It was also a good time for family to see Makayla for the first time.

My Papa with his great grandchildren I am not sure what number Makayla is but I am pretty sure they have more than 10. My only Grandfather still living. He is great. Just look at that smile you can tell he is happy.

Since Kevin was home we took some family photos here are some I took with my camera. I will have to put up the good ones soon.



We also visited the Phoenix Zoo. Which I have to say puts Utah's Hogle Zoo to Shame. Here is Ben and Braden.

Here she is! Born at 12:19pm 7 lbs 14 oz 19 inches. After arriving she was having a little trouble breathing so she went straight to the NICU to get some help from oxygen. 6 hours later I was able to see my baby girl!

We decided on Makayla at about 3 am or so. It was not in our list of names and it was not a name we had previously considered because I have a cousin with the same name. But I figured since my cousin is 13 years older it would not cause too much conflict. Louise is my Maternal Grandmothers middle name and it also happens to be my sisters middle name.

Braden then promptly climbed into my bed and began to eat the yummy hospital ice. (I just love that ice! I wonder where he gets his obsession from?)

We had to bribe him with his own cup of ice as he left so that I could get mine back.
