Uh oh no~

Hi!

You know that i blog everytime something interesting happened in my life.
E.g. occasions, celebrations, accidents..lol.
So call me an occasional blogger, well it's not like as if there's something interesting that happens everyday that i need to blog about, unlike my younger days. Other than spending each time sticking my nose into Facebook and see updates from friends and family. You can catch up with me there more often.

Right. It's already April, what, quarter of 2011 gone? Or if some optimist would say, 3/4 of the year more to go, exclamation. Hahh..

Ok, these few months wasn't good for me, it's just fate. Boo~
Most probably would say that i'm accident prone by now. Sucks right. Last December was my right knee from the freak bike accident, and now, yeah, my RIGHT foot.

We had a GRO on Friday night, 4th March, with the ladies, and it was HELL OF A NIGHT I TELL YOU!! Got my new Dervish deck, and go for a ride after quite a long time.w Just less than one hour in the bowl and i busted my foot. Damn. Slipped off at the edge of the bowl and landed on my toes before my foot twisted inwards and then broke the fall on my knees and hands. Grr. I couldn't feel my toe for a moment. Stood up and went straight out of the bowl. It was gnar. The pain then started kicking in.

See the bulge? It felt like the longest night ever. I waited for ABS, and manage to ride my bike back home. The shoe kept my foot tight from any more pain. I immediately turned in that evening.

Next morning, wakey wakey, ahah, hello swollen foot. Mak and Mummy woke me up, and i couldn't even put my body weight on my foot. They rushed me to A&E.

 Before,
...after.

So here goes. I wasn't in much pain, just discomfort. Of course i can't step on my foot at all. Nurse gave me meds for painkiller and i could just knock out or what! X-ray showed that there's a slight fracture to my cuneiform bone(number 4), inner left area, right at where it connects to the yellow one. Ouch. So nothing major at least, but i was backslabbed cast for one week. Say hello to crutches spelled out with MISERY!

Feeling hopeless, right. Everything is going sloowwwllyyyy for me for that one week. 10 days of ML till the next appointment. I don't wanna describe any further.
Mainly, itchiness, heaviness, scratchiness and almost feeling useless, can?
Where would i be without ABS? I feel bad that he had to come by every evening after work to visit me and buy my cravings for weeks. I can't thank him enough.
Not much people came to visit, cousins, SV peeps, Fuzz, Abg Bujang. Thanks for the love ya'll!

After a week of cast, bye bye itchness!!! My legs never felt so freeeeeeeeeeeeee!!

And hello to Aircast boots. Freaking $240! But it's my life saviour. I can finally walk and put my weight on my right foot, and ride my bike ;P

ABS has always been a dear to me. He brought me out for a walk every night after he ends work. It feels good getting some cool fresh air after sitting at home the whole day, couch potato. Yes, i definitely gained weight after a month plus at home, blame the food deliveries! Hahh. Man, how i itch to skate, cycle or even run a.s.a.p but it's gonna be a long way to go. Urgh. So many events coming up, all i can do is support my every wit and be present.

Back at work 11th April.

Hello work desk. We meet again.

Longboard Girls Crew

Longboard Girls Crew is based in Madrid, Spain. Now over 9,000 supporters worldwide in their Facebook page, they have just launched their official blog.
Our goal is to make this a community page for girls who love longboarding all over the World. Of course you guys are also invited, the requirement is that you too support them and love their flow…
If you have a passion for skating, this page will provide you news, videos, history and other stuff about this world. It's also intended to be a common space to share tricks, experiences, advises, etc.
There are not too many Girls in the longboard scene and there are so many talented girls out there who are great skaters, you ought to know them and listen to their great stories and share yours!
With the Girls' Ride Out initiative that i've started last year, i aim to collaborate with Jacky, coordinator of LGC, by any means to spread the stoke of longboarding amongst girls/ladies of all ages. To kick start, she had kindly created an album for us Asians to share our photos in their fb page. I get pretty excited seeing the increasing number of photos. Also, we are invited to share some stories of the longboard scene here in Singapore. This not only goes out to Asian countries, but to readers of the whole wide world! Exciting enough? Hehh..

There's still more to come for us here in Singapore. ECP Push Dont Pollute! Singapore 2011 is happening next month and yes, i'll be participating. Much more exciting yet?? Hahh..we'll have a beach clean up session thereafter and i heard that there's gonna be prizes for the most rubbish picked up by groups! LOL!
I'll also be distributing LGC stickers on the day itself, so do swing by and support the event(if possible PLEASE JOIN THE RACE!!) i'll go around distributing them :)

March will be a much anticipating month, so hang in there i'll update more frequently on the progress. Insyaallah everthing will be a success and go through smoothly. Now, can't wait for the weekends! Have a good one lovelies!

On wheels.

Of course, the lack of entries. And it's already February, fast ain't it?! Hands down.
Work, and anything else that matters.
Since that accident, frankly speaking, i was kinda pissed off. That my knee is nothing close to how it was ever before. Besides the ugly, significant scar, and have people telling me to head to the docs to check on water retention as the discoloration is not going off after 2-3 months. There's constant trauma whenever i accidentally hit any other thing that gets in the way.

However, all that won't crush me too soon. ABS pushed me to cycling with him. It's been a while getting on a bicycle. My first exercise after the injury last year Dec. Me, ABS, Zam, Steven and his son, Kevin, cycled to BB Nature Reserve on a Sunday, and then it rained heavily on our way back, pit stop at Aliff. We went only 6km, but it was worth while. I can feel blood flowing through my knees, just an awesome feeling..

Us with Kevin :)

On CNY Friday, the BBRs organised a Sentosa Chillax Ride Session. I was really excited about it! In total there were 10 of us. It was on hell of a ride. CHILLAX ABIS!!
The starting was quite a torture for me, going up to Kent Ridge before strolling down South Buona Vista Rd. Damn, i feel like puking out my two piece of hotcakes! Plus my chain came off, had to push to the traffic light where ABS waited for me. I was the only girl cycling that day. Plus i'm a super noob. I can't ramp up some curbs what more all those bunny hopping over the road dividers!

FiveTens :)
Pit stop at Harbourfront Centre to stoke up drinks.

Upon reaching Siloso Beach, i was almost a wreck! Plus it started to rain, literally my energy just flushed down into the sand. I hate to ride in the rain, but left with no choice, if not i'll be stuck with all the banglas in the common halls!
Tanjung was laid back. Right at the other end. Nicer "views" and the rest is history.

As exciting it was at Tanjung Beach, exiting Sentosa was a chore. SO PACKED! Not only pedestrians, but also roads are filled with people too! WTH! Dinner at Seah Im. I was too tired to eat. Shared a plate of chicken rice with ABS. The rest wanted to proceed on to town and Lau Pa Sat for satay. I just couldn't take it anymore. Sunburn, lethargic, ABS and me cycled back, just the two of us. Went by Henderson Road, and cycled along the MRT tracks. The more familiar way, less hills, not much crowd too. It was one quiet ride back, unlike in the day where there were 10 of us. Cheeeooonnggg all the way!! Cut through Rodalink JK immerse outself by riding through BB Nature Park. We reached CCK after almost 1.5 hours! I went home to calculate the total journey. Oh wow, approx 60km in almost 12 hours of cycling! Awesome or whaaatt?!!! Hahh..to tell you this, it's not gonna be the last long distanced cycling yet. I'm up for more :) But let's rest for the next month yea..hahahhhh!!
The Wheeler and Mun's single speed ABS rode for the day
TIRED yet contented!!

Meanwhile, video compilation of the moments at Sentosa :)

More photos can be viewed at my Facebook albums.

Sepang 2010 - Golden Palm Tree Resort

Yeay.

Despite the fact that my knee hurts to the core and it's affecting my walking position and affect my pinggang so badly, on the first day of the holidays i got so pissed. And very depressed. But nothing else i can blame on, the scenery and weather is so welcoming and makes you speechless at first sigh, like suddenly you are left with limited vocabs other than "AWESOME" to begin with! OH MY! Hahh..

Ok i won't be so detailed on the itinerary we had over the 3 days at Golden Palm Tree Resort. You've got to be there to experience it first hand. Let these photos speak for themselves!

I've also compiled 3 albums(one for each day) in my Facebook.
Day 1
Day 2

I'm glad to share them with you guys. And hell yeah, we are planning to go there again perhaps in the coming years, and hopefully (touch wood) not another accident before the holiday ;p

Happy holidays ya'll!
