Forssell Sold

To Brum for 3 million pounds. Slight regret that he never had a chance to show what he could really do for us. But low price possibly an indication that he has serious fitness problems.

CFC have been fined £300,000 for tapping up Ashley Cole. Cole himself was fined £100,000, and Mourinho was fined £200,000. Chelsea have also been slapped with a suspended 3-point deduction, to be implemented if the same offence is committed in the 05-06 seasoon. All parties are appealing against the ruling. Cole's career at Arse is apparently over.

Almost immediately after the punishments were announced, Spurs accuse Chelsea of tapping up their Director of Football, Frank Arnesen. Arnesen is credited with spotting the likes of Robben and Ronaldo when he was at PSV. Chelsea claim they made an official approach; apparently there was even an ad in the World Soccer magazine for the position.

A class quote from Robben on the Arnesen situation:
I don't know his reasons for leaving but if you have the chance to make the step from Tottenham to a big club like Chelsea it is not a tough decision.
