An easy win for a change, even succeeding in conceding a goal. Smertin with the first after good teamwork, Drogba heading in the second off a freekick. Porto pulled a goal back as Cech could only parry the ball to McCarthy, looking to restore our usual nervous finish, but Terry headed in a third off a Lampard freekick to settle the result.

Middlesbrough 0-1 Chelsea

Looked to be another frustrating encounter, but the breakthrough finally came through ten minutes from time, Drogba scoring again off a low Lampard free kick from the right.

Chelsea 0-0 Spurs

Another frustrating draw despite dominating possession for most of the game.

Paris St. Germain 0-3 Chelsea

PSG were poor. Never really threatened. Nice to have Drogba score two (Terry got the other one). Now if only he'll start banging them in in the Prem.

Aston Villa 0-0 Chelsea

Tight match, ample scoring chances for both sides. We should have won it with a penalty. But when Drogba was brought down in the box, Rob Styles booked him for diving. Arse continue their demolition of lesser sides, so we have now dropped to two points behind them.
