i read this from my cousin's blog and found it interesting. some kids were asked what they think love is and their answers were very cute.

new year, a time to gather with relatives and friends, stuffing yourself silly with goodies and playing blackjack or mahjong!! ate my reunion dinner at my aunt's house for the first time this year. we usually have it alone at home after we stopped going to my grandma's house a few years ago. i like gatherings with more people though i'm not very sociable. i've got very entertaining relatives though. haha...
sunday was spent at my grandfather's place. this year more of my relatives are around so it was more re nao. at night, my aunt and cousin decided to come to my house to play mahjong overnight. my uncle was staying for a few days too. we didnt have a proper mahjong table so we used the round balcony table instead. but it was too small and we ended up creating more noise as the tiles kept dropping on the floor. cannot 'swim' properly. one of the tiles even 'commited suicide' and jumped off the balcony from the 8th floor! but it was unharmed with only a few scratches. so amazing... but me and ny really didnt have mahjong luck. ended up losing to all 3 people. hai..
today's the last day of the new year hols. back to 7 hour lectures on wednesday. *sobz*. anyway the bbq last thursday was a success. had a turnout of 30 people plus a very cute boy. haha.hopefully can get the photos soon.
happy new year and enjoy your hols!

decided to post something if not wen and cher hao are going to complain again. haha...
celebrated valentine's day for the first time as a couple this year. actually we sort of celebrated twice. ate at ding tai fung and crystal jade. conclusion? ding tai fung's xiao long bao is much nicer! thanks for everything~enjoyed myself.
what is the significance of valentine's day to you? a day for girls to receive flowers and get pampared by their boyfriends with gifts and dinners? i saw guy friends preparing dinner and flowers etc to impress the girl they like. that was really sweet. but actually guys dont really have to spend alot of money to impress girls. its the sincerity that's important.
reminds me of the times in jc where we celebrated it as friendship day. alot of the girls will be giving out little notes and chocolates to all their friends. it came as a culture shock for me as i came from a mixed secondary school and we dont usually celebrate this way.
really looking forward to the bbq dinner with my coursemates tonight. it was supposed to be a steamboat for pre-new year celebration but the guest list just kept growing and we decided to have a post valentine's day celebration as well. actually everyone was supposed to bring someone of the opposite sex to add in the fun but that idea kinda failed. haha... still looking forward to it. lalala~
hope you all had a happy valentine's day and happy chinese new year in advance!

feeling kind of sad to hear that my estate is going on en-bloc. they just achieved 80% agreement recently. while many residents were happy to agree because of the high price their flat would fetch, we are now having a headache. where to move to?? now the residents realised that actually our estate is very good. though a little inconvenient to public transport, i've gotten used to walking to the central area. situated between two mrt stations, its quite convenient actually. i like my house being spacious and windy. and most of all, i'm a person who doesnt like changes. having stayed here since i was five, many of my friends also live nearby. and i really like tampines alot. in any case, i wouldnt want to move to the west.
