Check your email!

One post down I told you guys I was putting something together that would be intuitive, informative, relevant, simple, sleek, enjoyable...

Well I didn't quite say all those things... but that's what you're getting!

I have been working on a new, private blog that is better/simpler/easier in every way, for you and me :) And it's ready.

I tried calling everyone about it recently, getting your email address to invite you to it. Today, it is ready for use! So go check your inbox and click the link to see the site. If I didn't talk to you about this and you don't have an invite, leave a comment so I can add you as it is private.
It's private because it's too awesome to be released to the public.
Or because it has a lot of my personal info...

So yeah. .blogscott is being replaced by something new, and I guarantee you will like it more, or your money back! If I talked to you about it earlier, you should have an invite in your email to the blog. If not, let me know :)

Lost and Soon To Be Found

Hi everyone,

I'm writing from our condo in Canada, we got here today after being home for a couple days after being in Mexico for five weeks. That was including our cruise and a couple other things.

I epic-failed at blogging this summer, and although I gave some updates on facebook, nothing much has been very consistent and I'm sorry for not doing better. So much has been going on and I know almost all of you hardly know what I have been up to.

That is why I am making a new way for everyone to keep track of me. I am going to make it as user-friendly and easy to understand/navigate as possible, because I would like everyone of you guys to know exactly where to go when they want to find out anything about me.

I am going to give a phone call to all of you when it's ready to be used, so that I can clear up all the confusion I've made and personally make sure everything's good.

I'm also doing other stuff online like facebook/youtube/twitter/Web site for my company (yes, I have one. That's one of the things I neglected to announce), podcasts on iTunes, etc.
But don't worry about that stuff yet. I'll explain it all in detail on the new site, plainly and simply.

I feel like I owe this to all you guys that I neglected :P So just wait for my phone call and then you can find out how to finally see what's going on with me again. Expect it to be very personal and very exclusive. ^_^

*Sigh of relief*

Sim and I got up at 4 am today and completed the presentation. It looks amazing - better than I hoped it would.

If I get a chance, I will post the video of what we did to celebrate.

There are not enough hours in a day

*Sigh*

I dunno. I've been trying to get this presentation for Nintendo together before we leave in less than two weeks... I guess I didn't plan ahead enough or think about how my computer time would plummet in Mexico, living off of generator power.

So now I get up early(er) and finish school as quickly as possible, then devote as much time as I can to making slides... 12 days left, and I've got about six completed (but the rest are ready to be made now, I completed all the concept art).

On top of that, I am trying to carry out some promises I made to people that I procrastinated on, answer my texts/calls/emails while they pile up (collectively - at least) and have somewhat of a social life. I have two sites to retire from... etc.

And then I got depressed today because I couldn't beat a level 9 computer on Super Smash Bros. Brawl, couldn't pass the 11th dark stage on pictobits, couldn't find a certain map I needed online, and couldn't get past 300 points on the game I want to set a record on. I tried to relax and listen to podcasts that wouldn't download, then try and do something constructive - exercise - but my Wii Fit board ran out of batteries, and my back-up set ran out.

Oh yeah, and you guys are due for a vlog or two. But that requires cutting, editing, merging, saving and uploading. Plus, I promised my friend I'd upload his because his computer is too slow.

I've discovered that there are not enough hours in a day.

In a country far, far away...

We're about half-way through with our Canada trip, it's been a lot of fun with more sure to come. But I'm not giving out any details, you'll have to wait for the Vlog! Vlog # 4 should be ready in a couple days, this one will be the Gadgets Edition. I have three new toys to show you quickly, and a story that you won't believe. Also, there will be a give-away involved with Vlog # 4, so make sure you watch it and you might be the one to get the prize. If enough people try, I'll probably do them more often.

So there isn't any phone service out here, but we get okay Internet sometimes. I was able to comment on all the recently updated blogs and check email and stuff. So I'll be back in a few days -- watch for Vlog 4, Gadgets Edition for a cool story and a giveaway, Vlog 5 for details on Canada with another awesome story, and a couple surprises. See ya guys when  I get back :)

PS: If you texted me/left a voicemail, I see them - just can't reply yet :P

O.O

There was a program for the SNES that came out a while ago where you could make... stuff like this.

Through the Fire and the Flames is the hardest Guitar Hero song on GH3, and someone actually took the time to recreate the song on Mario paint. Jut watch, you'll be amazed.

Sky Pictures

I posted Sky pix 89-126! Go check 'em out. Take the big pink button-link on the top, you can't miss it.

Thanks to Mom for three pictures that she submitted, they're on the page between mine and Nathan's now :)

Let me know which are your top 12 favorites, because they might be made into a calendar.

The FENCE

This is the fence that I spoke of in Vlog 1. At first site, you might wonder what took us a week... so let me tell you; Those cement blocks weigh about 4o lbs. each, and we took hundreds of them from the front yard into the back yard, then placed them, then moved all the cedar wood, cement, and posts into the back yard to make the fence. Then we drilled holes in every third board for the sides, built them, made the fence, and hauled dirt into the backyard to fill in the trenches behind the retaining wall.

...

$340, a yo-yo, a palm-pilot, some brownies and lunch at Qdobas ^_^

New Design

Hey guys. I've switched my blog layout once again because my previous, three-column one was causing problems in some browsers.

Sooo, over to the left is the sidebar, it's just got my picture and a bunch of boring stuff. I took out the super Comment Person Award because I realized it was a pretty cheap way of getting comments :P That's over and done with, and gone.

That's all for the sidebar. Up above are my links, I have one to GNNHQ.com, my Web site. If you haven't been there, check it out. I'll have an interview up there soon, hopefully, that will boost the viewership quite a bit.

Next link is to my Sky Photography page, where I have 100+ of my Sky Pix. I have some to add soon from the trip, and they are some of my favorites so check it out soon.

Services is coming soon, so far I only have Custom Desktops up, but I plan on adding a Blogger Search-bar page and maybe an HTML help post.

Now, the comment link is quite a bit smaller now, but still at the bottom of each post. Click on it, leave a comment, and I'll be trying to do a better job of commenting on your entries too. =)
Right under that is Reactions. Just check the box that matches your reaction to my post.

That's all ^_^

The Latest Trip

I barely ever had my camera with me except in the car, so most of my shots were sky pictures. Check the page! They're awesome.

Here are the odds:

Alex and I spent a few days with Granpa Leonard and went to the fair where I won three stuffed animals :D It was fun, and I painted their deck.

Survival Log | Day 3

Yesterday was pretty fun. Mom left after lunch with Gma, and for Dinner we went out to Red Robin. After that Gpa took us to the fair, and the lines were way too long to try and go on a ride. So we spent some tickets at games, and we won three stuffed animals.

Without a laptop, I have been reading some Heaven's Wager and playing a lot of Rhythm Heaven. Today I finished staining their deck and am using his dial-up right now. (x_x @ dial-up)

Oh, and my blog looks totally messed up on this browser. I see what some of you were saying. soooooo, tune in next episode for Extreme Makeover: .blogscott edition!

Survival Log | Day 2

Finished working at that lady's house the second day. Man - I was so sore. I added up the pundage that I lefted that day, it was over 7,000 @_@ I got paid well though :P

I'm here with Grandpa Leanard for three more days, using Mom's laptop for now. She's leaving for some time with Katie and Grandma, and will be taking the computer. I have limited browsing abilities on my DSi (which I forgot to post about w/ pictures - should do that when I get home) and I might be able to use their Dial-Up (x_x) so chances are I won't be blogging/emailing. But text me! Keep me company.

So far I've started on staining their deck but I'm sure he has more projects for me.

Do I have any updates for you guys? ... .. . ... .. . Not really. I've been able to do a little bit of work on my video game while I was here. Just so you know how far the progress is - we are getting into sprites for our characters and objects, and I've started on sketching the menu structure. I'll take the sketches and finalize them on the computer, then put together the presentation which we might take to Seatle. I should post a video here after we copyright the concept (Dad's idea, - 'don't know the first thing about copyrights).
***
So yeah - text me. If you don't have my number, get it from somebody :P

Hello out there

My life's pretty interesting right abouts now.

I've been getting into the classics of gaming. I'm working on beating the original Super Mario Bros. in 5-10 minutes, and also going through the legend of Zelda. My friend also taught me the ways of the fighters, which I hadn't been interested in previously. Now I'm like bring it on :P

Getting into some complicated stuff in programming class. I learned how to save my programs as Executables (.exe extension) so if anyone wants to see the stuff I'm working on, I can email you a zip file with my projects.

I went to the park in CDA after Co-Op yesterday with some friends and played some hard-core tag :D It was actually really fun.

Sent Reba a B-Day present & called her on her "Birthday"..... .... .. Not her Birthday >_<

I worked with my youth-pastor at his relatives house. And it was real work -- we were hauling around 40 pound blocks and making a retaining wall. I'm dead and will be going back tomorrow.

Development on my video game is going smashingly. Should have the presentation ready in a month +/-

Listing way too many books online for sale but I'm getting paid so that's okay.

With all the moneys I'm making, I plan on getting some nice vivid blue scary contacts. Will post pix for ya

Got an interview with one of twelve pro gamers who are competing in a gaming competition on cable now - WCG Ultimate Gamer. Nice Christian guy who does videos on Youtube a lot. Him linking to the interview on my site will make readership go up hugely.

4/14/09

;_;

I got beat by someone who built a tower.

=3

  • Ahhhh. Today is the day that I find out if I am going to be rich and famous or not.
  • I got an interview with Swoozie, a professional gamer starring on WCG Ultimate Gamer, a Cable TV show on right now. He's a really great gamer, nice person, in the top 7 right now and does video blogs on youtube all the time. here's one about the Existence of God (really cool video). The interview will go up on GNN
  • And progress on my video game is going well. I'm getting my hands dirty in the visuals department @_@
  • Um... that's all. Happy Easter.

4/12/09

Notice

I'm going to be pretty busy from now on for a while. I will still try to blog, but I won't have as much time. The reason being is I am making a video game :)

4/10/09

Today is the deadline

Yeah this is about the contest. It's the only thing I write about because it's the only thing I think about mmkay??? :D

The deadline is today. IMHO, I am in the top three, but the other too are really good as well.

Gooburt

This was my entry for the World of Goo Contest on Game Trailers, sponsored by Nintendo. It took Sim and I all day to make, and we took over 300 original stops (frames).  Winners will be contacted in about two weeks.

The grand prize is a ton of cool stuff, like a trip to LA to go to E3, a 52" flat screen TV, DSi, $100 worth of Nintendo download points, etc. As of now, my video is getting pretty good ratings, and I really think that Gooburt has a good chance of 1st place. Watching the other 15 or so vids, I'd bet that one of the five prizes is mine. And I'm not trying to brag, there's just not much competition.
