Isaac LOVED the penguin colonies living on the beaches down there - he started to think it's normal that we see exotic animals every five minutes

Windy cape point

Cape point lighthouse

Baboons on the side of the road at the cape - random

The bug wanted to take the scenic walk

Random little animals that only live down near the cape - they like Ben's foot

Cape of Good Hope

Beautiful drive down to the cape of good hope

Table mountain

The boat ride back to cape town

The old prison sign

Penguin residents of Robben Island

Nelson Mandela's prison cell

Inside the prison

The bus we rode in and that the actual prisoner rode in

On Robben Island where the prison is that Nelson Mandela spent 20 years as a political prisoner. A pile of rocks that the prisoners created when they came back to visit the prison.

Isaac checking out the guinea hens with babies

Wild Guinea hens

Isaac running down the hill at the Kirstenbosch botanical gardens

Hiking down - a LONG way down....

Daddy and bug overlooking cape town

Up on top of table mountain

Riding the cable car up table mountain in cape town

Down at the Victoria and Albert wharf in Cape Town....signs to san francisco and sydney

Isaac taking a ride on the luggage at the cape town airport

The whole fam together for a pic after church

The fam at grandma and grandpa's house

Bourke's luck potholes - some formations in the rocks

Lookout over the rondavels and dam

The three rondavels in the background - beautiful

On our drive out of the game reserve, I saw this little girl carrying fruit on her head with her little brother - see their rondavel in the background.

Our little rondavel where we stayed

The pool deck and lodge

The open air boma where we ate dinner

The pool at our game lodge

A little turtle we came across on our bush walk. The ranger carried a big loaded just in case....

See them wrestling?

Two adolescent leopards we came across playing together in a tree....it was AMAZING

Love the striped bums

Big herd of impala

Ben and I in front of the open four wheel drive that we rode in looking for animals.

Kudu...

Rhinos in the early early morning light

The elephants playing....

Hard to see, but we came across the three adolescent elephants rolling around in the dirt playing together. It was so cute. They were sticking their trunks in this hole in the ground and just generally causing trouble

The whole herd of buffalo at a watering hole

A cape buffalo giving us a once over

You can see the gazelle's head hanging down off the limb to the right

The most amazing thing we saw on the safari - the leopard has pulled his kill (a gazelle) into a tree and is munching on it in front of us. You could hear him grinding the bones.....

Two rhinos trying to hide from us
