PAHL
So since we moved back to good ole AF, I have been able to get back into a men's hockey league for the first time since I busted open my eye playing in the Ogden league back in 2005.
For those who don't remember that little beauty, here's a reminder.

I got in in touch with and placed onto the Ice Holes team in the Peaks Adult Hockey League division 3. It's been fun to get back out there and playing actualy games again and not just pick up once a week.
The season started out very well with us winning our first 4 games by a combined score of 36-10. We then ran into our stiffest competition in the league, the Tuques, and lost our first matchup 5-1. After that, we got back on track and again won 4 games (including a nice retrobution win against the Tuques 3-1 two games later) before tying the Ninja Turtles 2-2. We then posted another two solid wins by a combined 14-5 score and looked like we were back on track, but we had our worst game of the year and lost to the Instigators 3-1 in a very penalty filled affair.
After the Instigators debacle, we got it together and won our final two games 5-1 (over the Tuques) and 8-4 (over the Decepticons). This let us finish the season 12-2-1 and sit in the top overall seed going into the playoffs.
After a first round bye, we matched up again with the Ninja Turtles. In three games against the Turtles we had won 1-0, 3-2, and tied 2-2. They had played us the toughest of any team throughout the league. But we were able to get it together and shut them out 3-0 in a game which saw Aves watch his dad play for the first time ever. There's nothing that will make a father happier than scoring a goal and looking up in the stands to see his boy clapping and shouting.
The Tuques, who finished second in the league 2 points behind us, also got a first round bye and won their matchup against the Instigators fairly easily.
This sets up what should be an epic game with them that will happen on Mar 8th. Should we win that game, the Tuques will have to go play the team that won their way through the loser's backet and the winner of their game will play us again for the title. Should we lose to the Tuques, we would have to follow the same path back to the title.
Either way, it's been a really good time getting back into the league (that's not run by a crooked jerk like the Ogden league).
I'll keep you posted on the outcome of the season.

This was taken by my buddy Cameron Card during our third and final game of the season against the Tuques. This game bascially determined which of us would finish #1 and which #2 on the season. Cam plays for the Tuques but was out serving the second game of a two game suspenison. As you can see, we were in complete control of the game and the Tuques had become a little frustrated at this point.

Again, taken by Cam, this is me skating off the ice after scoring against the Tuques.
And just incase anyone is interested, here are the results from our games this season:
