Hello everyone. We are back in Rexburg again. It's good to be back with all the family. My brother Kyle just got back from serving a mission in Guatemala. We got to see all the family for his homecoming mission report. We have plans to get together with my family this weekend to go up to the cabin in Island Park and go boating and four-wheeling, though I am a little nervous about the weather. It has been nice and sunny for the past couple weeks, but this weekend is supposed to be rainy.
Until Brantley starts law school next fall, we are kind of in a transitional phase. Brantley has been helping me out a lot with my art business, Lacie Oakey Fine Art LLC. We have made business cards and post cards for advertising. I have a new website up http://www.lacieoakey.com Go check it out and see my art portfolio online.
Brantley is in the middle of setting up a couple businesses selling medical pendants called Medical Now. He is also trying to set up his own alarm company so that he can sell all year round while he is going to law school. He is taking the LSAT in October, so by the end of the year we should definitely know where we will be headed for the next few years.
Kylie is almost two. Crazy. She still doesn't talk. She falls in the 10% of children who are late talkers. I think its just her personality to be stubborn and doesn't think that she needs to speak English in order to communicate. She has her own language and thinks everyone should figure it out. She is learning how to throw tantrums and has become quite good at it. She still wakes up many times screaming throughout the night. We always say she is going through a phase. She has had many different sleeping phases, but they have never been good ones. We plan on having more children; but when she acts like that, we question whether we could handle a new baby and her at the same time. She can sure be sweet though and a lot of fun. When she is in her sweet moods, she gives us lots of hugs and kisses. She likes to drag us around wherever she goes. She still loves being center of attention. She is a busy body and likes to dance and run around for the crowd. She has a lot of good aunts and uncles around for whom she can put on a show.
