(:

Dying (pun intended, of course!) to take a break from mugging for the midsems?

Here's an idea. Just print this out and go enjoy before coming back to face the harsh realities of life.

Carpe diem! (:

Tian Loong's mysterious admirer...

Tian Loong's door used to be barren and ugly, it didnt even have a proper doortag.... But one fine day, his door received a major facelift.

A new doortag for Tian Loong!!! This attracted many curious stares from his dear lvl 6 mates. Oh wait! There's a note below the doortag!

A note for Tian Loong! Respecting our dear lvl mate's privacy, we resisted the urge to find out the identity of the writer, hence for those concern friends of Tian Loong, you just have to find out from the man himself. Let the love spread throughout our block to welcome the arrival of Buaya Week. Cheers =)

Please throw away these if you have them!

Friendly warning:

Taken from the AVA website:

"In view of AVA’s recent detection of melamine in three dairy products imported from China, consumers are understandably concerned about the possible adverse health effects associated with the consumption of the affected products. The Agri-Food & Veterinary Authority (AVA) and the Ministry of Health (MOH) would like to reassure the public that the risk to Singaporeans is low."

Items pulled from the shelves in Singapore as below:

So now, please check your pantry and throw away these things if you have them, ok?

Loves,
Gloria

MAF 2008

Here's a long overdue post on MAF. but better late than never, eh? (:

There were prettyy decorations - lanterns and christmas lights aplenty for that cozy atmosphere.

And then there was really really yummy food.

We also celebrated the birthdays of all the august and september babies..

with a personalized birthday card each containing best wishes from all c-towners!

The all-time favourite balloon bursting game, where C-towners were all great sports.

Some tried their very best to protect their inflated balls by illustrating perfect use of yoga techniques..

Only to find out the hard way that it only takes 2 people to burst your bubble - one to hold you down, and one to kick hard.

Darius Wee Da Yang, with his many years of experience in playing "Pepsi Cola 1-2-3" won them all...in return for a forfeit. He chose our RF Jessie to share his pomelo with. ooohlala.

This MAF also saw some unprecedented examples of self-sacrifice.

Our dear floorball captain Samson squatting on the floor because he gave up his seat to his TM Cui Shan. Yeah, must treat your TMs well, /nods, so that your team can "huat ah!"

If you aren't feeling warm and tingly all over by now, there's something really wrong with you.

I shall leave you with 3 more photos of happy C-Towners.

Alright now, go and have a rockin' good day ahead! (:

THANK YOU, JUNIORS!

JTS was fantastic!

You guys have really outdone us!
The food, the fashion parade, the cupcakes and sweet little gifts..
The effort you all put in has really touched us!

On behalf of all the seniors,

THANK YOU FOR THE WONDERFUL JTS!

We really enjoyed ourselves!

WE LOVE YOU!

P.S: Oh yay! I can finally see the cbox on the left again!

Time to Rest

Hey C-towners!
Due to EXTREME popular demand for the lullaby by freshies, I hereby have to declare the lifting of patent right to this wonderful creation! :P
Time to Rest

There’s a place in Sheares Hall
And we know that it’s Block C
And this place could be home
For everybody
C-towners, if we try,
We will fight and never lose
And it’s true the people here are all the coolest
We live in harmony
No matter what all happens
We share the space, make a better place

Chorus: X 2
Time to rest
We need the energy
For DOTA and mahjong and ponding together
There are people sleeping
So can you just stop singing
So that everyone
Can (sleep peacefully) X 3
Of course this would not have been possible without the help from Xia Lin and Srajna, not to forget Vy's wonderful supper that night :D
The song is an adaptation from Michael Jackson's "Heal the World". Have fun!:)

IBG

For those who did not manage to attend the IBG closing ceremony, please be informed that we C-Towners clinched a commendable 3rd placing for both the men's and ladies' categories. This was after many exciting matches spanning three weeks, with us seeing gold in floorball, swimming, soccer and table tennis. For individual game updates, you may want to refer to www.shearesibg0809.blogspot.com.

Great job to all those who played, and especial thanks go out to the members of the Block C alumni for their effort in taking time out of their busy schedules to come down to play and support, as well as get to know us new juniors.

We have a grand total of 6 new trophies now sitting pretty in our lounge. Please feel free to drop by to shine them every now and then.

stop at one.

Hello all!

Just got authorship rights to this blog, so here's my very first contribution.

*This is a public service announcement kindly sponsored by the purple people over at SDU - (ahem, not Singapore's infamous Social Development Unit, but the "Sheares Development Unit").

Disclaimer: Any resemblance to real persons, whether living or dead, is purely coincidental.

Moral of the story: Don't complicate things. Stop at one, preferably a C-Towner.

On a lighter, less "serious" note, a picture of sugar and spice and all things nice to brighten up your day!

Block Comm AY 08-09 says a warm ALOHA! We're all friendly people, and most of us like chocolates and ice cream. I think.
And, if any of you happen to be reading this now, it's time for a McDonald's Big Breakfast meal - upsized of course. Good morning! (:

1 to quarter life crisis

Yes my dear Towners. Today I am officially the 3rd oldest guy in the block, the 4th oldest in the block. (I will not reveal the identities of those in front of me. =p)

A big thanks to all those who came up to join me in my goose pee liquid and also to Jie Shen and the block commers to pause their meeting to come up and sing me a birthday song. Its my first birthday song I've received in hall!

A big thanks too to the sporting juniors for particpating in the tradition Towner night event. To SJF: U are damn "buay on", but we'll get u soon.
