just wanted to say, well done to all C Towners who were involved in SP!
we enjoyed it thoroughly and it was a good show..

and to all the Towners that went, thank you again! because of your support we managed to have more than 70 people from our block that attended SP and thus got a $50 voucher from sheng shiong/ikea! (which will be used for block supper or to buy a shelf for our lounge.)

I know to some of us are kinda busy with our own stuff, be it deadlines, or practising for performances, but I really do hope all of you can make time for the last few days of IHG, before SP comes, because there are amongst us those who are going to be playing their hearts out for the finals. and i'm sure that the presence of the rest of us, will be a good indication of our support for them! so lets go for the finals together yea?

C is for Chingay

Chingay was @%$^ing AWESOME.. Sheares definitely had the best float of the entire parade.. all i could hear people (spectators and other performers too) talk about was The Cinderella.. Too bad for those who missed it.. Our dear C-Towners were sizzling, both on and off the float..

As a spectator, the highlight of my night (besides watching Sheares perform, of course) was running across the entire parade-grounds with JK, as we tried desperately to keep up with a frenetic Jieshen (YES.. Jieshen) as he tore across the padang like a man possessed, allowing nothing to come between him and objective to catch up with his very own Cinderella.. Trust me, it was one hell of an adrenaline rush, not just running after the float as she cruised around City Hall, but watching Jieshen throw caution to the wind as he led us in our dogged pursuit of the float.. It was definitely one of my most memorable experiences in my 4 years of hall..

Thank you Jieshen for suggesting that we give up our premium seats and spend the rest of the night on foot, cheering like madmen every time we caught a glimpse of the float and the performers, 3 orange shirts weaving their way through the sea of humanity that stood in our way. What (or who) Jieshen's motivation for this expedition was, I shall refrain to speculate, but it was super super fun being Sheares Hall's groupies for that one night as the rest of Singapore stared in awe of our float and our spirit.

And to top it off, I managed to film most of our exploits, including our sprints and all the performances we had the privilege of watching. If any of you managed to watch the movie Cloverfield (where the whole show is just handycam footage) you'll appreciate this even more..

hey guys,

i must say, we really rocked chingay!! here are a few photos from shout (: love you all block c cihngay people!! and many many thanks to all those who came to support us.. jk, ian, abhi, kenneth, darius, kane, minghui, alvin, nicole, sze hui and esp JIE SHEN!!! who RAN throughout the entire stretch of the parade just to get high with us and support. hahaha wonder what his motivation was.. but oh well..

Be sure to check out the special "Shearites' Wishlist" section, that has been set-up so you guys can give your comments or wishes for the cultural scene in Sheares Hall. Simply write it on a post-it provided, then paste it in the designated (left-hand side) area of the notice board.
