Cee got stars!
Didn't really have time to blog here till now.. yups..
Anyway, felt that 77 stars was fantastic!! Even though quite a number of us didn't perform, i can still feel the spirit, more than ever compared to other events. I must say that this is the event with the largest Blk C turnout. U can just see this from the Blk photo.
Kudos to everyone who have performed, watched and cheered for us. Even though things were messy, tiring, we managed to do it!!

Look on the bright side~!!
Monty Python roX~!!I can't get the tune off my mind..So..I shall it with all of you!!!
Bright side bright side bright side..right side light side..
Some things in life are bad,
They can really make you mad,
Other things just make you swear and curse,
When you're chewing life's gristle,
Don't grumble,
Give a whistle
And this'll help things turn out for the best.
And...
Always look on the bright side of life.
Always look on the light side of life.
If life seems jolly rotten,
There's something you've forgotten,
And that's to laugh and smile and dance and sing.
When you're feeling in the dumps,
Don't be silly chumps.
Just purse your lips and whistle.
That's the thing.
And...
Always look on the bright side of life.
Always look on the right side of life,
For life is quite absurd
And death's the final word.
You must always face the curtain with a bow.
Forget about your sin.
Give the audience a grin.
Enjoy it. It's your last chance, anyhow.
So,...(you know how it goes.."always.................")
Life's a piece of shit,
When you look at it.
Life's a laugh and death's a joke it's true.
You'll see it's all a show.
Keep 'em laughing as you go.
Just remember that the last laugh is on you.
And...
Always look on the bright side of life..
Monty: u come with nothing you go with nothing..in the end what do you have?NOthiNg~!!

Countdown
Another 46 hrs to night of 77stars.. wo... hopefully it will be a cool one. Kaiyuan has designed such a cool banner and Blk comm has painstaking painted it over the nights.. Beautiful posters and stars have already been pasted all over the hall and there's the incessent playing of "Superstar" in the comm Hall. We have also prepared the goody bags, and with the help of Alvin and Potato, we have tested the lights.
The preparation's still going on at the moment, and we are all set to put up a good show. For those performing, Jia You!! For the rest of the world, pls come and support us!!
Let's set the hall ablaze with our BLK C EVENT. Ya. come in black block tee...
Dun think it will become getai, performing for "brothers" yea?
Cya there!

Let ur creative juices run WILD!!!

77 Stars is here once again!
Back in year one...our seniors showed us pictures of past 77* performances over at the Old Sheares hall....how excited each resident are...
They told us how C-towners showcased our talents to all the other blks. Singing will not only be restricted to the toilets.....Ba-boks suddenly came alive....wacky class-rm skits amused the other residents of the hall....blah blah.....
Not forgetting...Big Big banners painted painstakingly by the Blk Comm members....Setting up the wooden stage discarded after SP performance....All residents in Black....and the night will end with our Blk anthem.......
Over the years....77 C-towners has now grown to over 100. The show is getting more hilarious each yr too!
Enjoy this moment.....

Soccer night was fun
Hey hey!
Wanted to post this yesterday.. but realised i am not invited yet so cannot post.. and then now i find that wat i wanted to say is somewat same as wat darius has already written.. haiyah. Nevertheless i sahll say it again and here it goes...
Soccer night was so fun! half the court was filled with C-towners playing soccer and the other half playing badminton.. For a moment I felt like we have went back to Sec Sch times, when the whole class of kids are at PE lesson and having so much fun. And i am glad the guys were so nice to let us the clumsy gals join in too.. (though you ll soon realised that pp like paulene and hazel are actually valuable additions to the team!)There was a lot of block spirit shown there and I bet other blocks are all envious of us loh. Yeah I would really like to see more of that to come! Let s have midnight soccer, badminton and table tennis together yeah?
But meanwhile I see a lot of you guys getting rather stressed lately. I bet it's over sch work, com work( rag i guess), and especially night of 77 stars. Hey it's gd to be busy and committed, but pls give yourself some rest k? If you all need help, ask me!! heehee i ll try to help. =P and try not to make things worse. But really, dont tire yourself too much! rest well sleep well. drink more milo etc etc.

Hall life
A senior once told me, "year 1 you'll be very onz in block, year 2 you'll be onz hall (you'll know at least 20 ppl per block) and final year you'll go back to block again." I agree.
Joining Holiday comms is one of the way to feel the spirit of the hall. I'm serious. Many may think it is such a waste of time to lock yourself in hall for the 3 months holiday. But, think about it. Why do we stay in hall at the first place?Other than convenience lar.. There's an option to experience hall life (fully) without the pressure from our academic works. Try it at least once. Don't want to do rag..It's okay, do SWOC councillor or SECC councillor. It's a lot of fun! Some may think that they can't rara the people then come and do rag. Imagine how proud you'll feel when people praise the detailling you did or how innovative your design is. All of us will have at least 40 years of working life. Before we enter those routinised stressful life, lets enjoy the last 3 years of our life as a student.

Happening..
Wo.. felt that soccer yesterday night was great.. such a rare sight to see so many guys from the different years and levels to play together!!! What's more to expect when u even see the girls comin to play with us!! This's cool man... can do this more often.
Hee.. perhaps u girls can come up with something.. the guys will join u i think?
Anyway...
FINALS:
Breathe-taking shots coupled with sporadic and uncharacteristic misses, the tension in the room was electrifying. With attractive prize vouchers awaiting the winner and a crown for the champion, the match was further intensified as the 2 players fought neck-to-neck in all the games in this Best of 5 finals.
Ian from Blk C eventually won the match 3-1, bringing a close to esHAC Pool Championship 05/06.
Congrats to Ian on his victory!!
Mi god.. didn't know Under-23 Malaysian champion is really that zai..

Ello peeps here is the most buay on member in the block comm wahahaha well first time here in the blog posting something that i hope is of technical relevence and hope the seasoned seniors whos' belts are maxed out due to "success" stories will not shoot this down like a claybird in a trapshooting tourney. Well nowadays reallie nice to just chill in the lounge, play soccer, supper and jumping from room to room. It so like "now we are iin business kinda thing where the whole portrait of a vibrant hall life comes together quietly and so beautifully cos everyone just does his/her part", kinda cool huh. wahahaha, u seniors out there just feel free to ask the block comm to org anthing cool cos i tink u all leaving soon then the block spirit might just be found in the biggest long kang in singapore, wahaha joking there. Hope to see more fun suppers, chillout sessions and dumb talks by uncle darius (P.S and his very attentive yet try to look disgusted audience mostly made up of the level seven girls). wahaha Well guys lets start rocking to a great hall life although time is short for the graduating seniors, better late then never yea? wahahhaa. :)

Small talks
You know, long time ago, so they say, there was this little blue monkey baby that liked eating watermelon. You know, that monkeys, as weird as they are, don't really like watermelons. They do eat them. But they are not exactly fond of watermelons. But damn, this little blue monkey baby liked watermelons so much he ate them every day and night.
And the Papa monkey was so intrigued, he started to think his baby monkey, as blue as he is, was actually sick, or worse, crazy. And Mama monkey, being all anxious about her blue baby's health, also started to worry.
So one fine day, Papa monkey asked his baby, "Son, tell me, why is that monkey, across this screen still reading this shit?" The little blue monkey baby said, "Monkey see. Monkey do" And he showed a middle finger.
Mama monkey, upon hearing that went on a rampage. Because her innocent little blue monkey baby was starting to use swear words and swear signs. Damn. So she went to the old wise Datuk monkey, and asked him to cure her little blue darling. The wise Datuk monkey asked her, "Do you have any idea why this monkey is still reading this crap?" To which the Mama monkey answered, "Monkey see. Monkey do." But hey, so now the whole monkey clan wanted to know why the little blue monkey baby loved watermelon so much and where did he started to learn all that finger signs.
Do you wanna know?
Find me a little blue monkey baby, and I'll tell you.
If you're still reading this after the first two lines, you're a damn hardcore monkey see monkey do =) No offense intended.

This short note was passed to me a few days ago. Just like every reliable messenger, I shall relay this msg to the whole block.
"Just three minutes of stage appearance (with the face visible), we saw our dear Waylon at his very best! With makeup looking like ghost and a tongue that next to no one understood, he was cruelly battered by the cast and conveniently sat on by the most significant female lead, Keiko, but I bet that throughout the whole time he must have felt so good. Don't you just LURVE that round patch of blue-black on his left eye that just covered like half of his face? Awesome makeup skills! Bravo! The last part of his few minutes of fame was classic. Totally renacting a scene that happens at every dancer's birthday celebration... POND WAYLON!!!"

If there is one thing...
... worth doing, is to sign up for holiday comms. And as if pure coincidence, all 3 holiday comms this year are chaired by our very own towners. SECC, RAG and SWOC are all having a towner at their helm.
And if there is one thing worth savouring, it is this time that we show our support to our fellow towners. Call this a plead, or an appeal, or whatever you want, but please, these comms need your support more than ever.
Consider, then act!

Great DND!!
Wo.. i felt that this DND was great.. definitely better than any other dinners or balls i ever went to..Yups. It was quite a sight to actually see so many Towners together, talking and cheering for our frens.. yea.. Hall DND is indeed different. Never regretted forking out 50 bucks for this memorable experience, and the only chance to see Hazel so chio!!
I guess it is this kind of ocassions and memories that keeps us going, wanting to create more memories and experience. Think pple just need that kick start. Of course we cannot just wait for events to happen.. need some spontaneous act.
And in spite all the talk about the Block going down which is pretty true, I'm really impressed by the way how the block supported Hieu's best dressed table victory, and definitely, how turnout of my batch peeps have improved from the start!!
Well.. i feel that maybe it is time for some changes... big changes... Old traditions that couldn't work these days may need to be changed to something that can serve the same role better. Ya.. anw, the upcoming 77 stars is another good chance to hype up. Let's make use of it!!!
(P.S how many pple actually reads this blog ah?? Dun like few pple tok among one another.. so sian)

Follow through
Maybe this is just another joke the Big Guy up there feels like throwing at us.
I believe that 5 years ago, this day, somebody was here wondering about the same things I am wondering now. And that worries me. This is a no holds barred post. I don't really do apology, so if you can't take the heat, leave. And don't come back.
Here we go.
I am a hypocrite. And I am not good with truths. So I pretend. But every man has his limit, and yours truly has just busted his limit. I am in no position to say anything worth saying, or do anything worth doing. I am, however, in a position to see the mother of all heartbreaks - the block disintegrating.
There is nobody to blame but ourselves. We fail to see pass through our own selfish gains. And that's human nature too, so we kindda inherited it from our forefathers. Not your fault exactly, when you conveniently advocate disintegration, consciously or otherwise.
And when the block has some events on, most of us convenietly forget or purposely disappear. The only chance to give the block a chance, and many would rather lock themselves in their rooms. And with good reasons too, or so they say.
Tutorials, homeworks, assignments. Of course I know, I too have all that, and then some more. I am not a saint, to advocate something I don't believe in. I always believe in putting studies on top of my priority list. And tonight, instead of studying for the test I'm having, I am sitting here crafting this out. Oh, bewildered and I am asking myself why am I doing this?
Good intentions, I dare say. Maybe you have not found it, or maybe you will never have the privillege to find it. That desire to find something that you have quietly conceded. That naggy feeling of wanting to see the block the way it used to be. Oh, you juniors have no idea what I'm saying. You juniors are more preoccupied with that lovey-dovey and hanky-panky. And you seniors are too busy trying to be busy.
And I often tell this to people I know, that if I am 100 years back, with a gun in my hands, most C-towners would have been shot dead by me for inherently blanketed the block with aura of callous indifference. And it saddens me to sit here, forcing all that down my throat. And if I had had my way 3 months ago, there would be a mass grave just behind the block.
And I wonder, often, what has happened. There is so much animosity. And peope who used to care turning their backs on things they used to believe so much. And I wonder, often, what could have been done differently to change the situation we are all facing now.
I never knew how much Block C means to me until I see the state of the block today. The block has been disappointed by the very people who encapsulate the spirit of Block C. And for this, I have my hands up high into the sky.
If there is one thing worth doing now, it's to stop trying to run away. 'Cause for what it's worth, we are all one family. Family sticks together.
And I invite you to laugh with me, at this joke the Big Guy up there is throwing at us. Am I so obvious to preach it? Just don't be so off.
I believe that 5 years ago, this day, somebody was here wondering about the same things I am wondering now. And that worries me. This is a no holds barred post. I don't really do apology, so if you can't take the heat, leave. And don't come back.
