The demise of Blk C Diary

yes, it has always been this way.

New gadgets replacing old ones,
new boyfriend displacing previous one,
Novelty of new ideas challenging the foundations of old theses.

It has always been.

But must it always be?

Must all things old be condemned? Is there no value still significant in old things?

Then who should decide what is branded "old"? how does such a yardstick works?

I grieve for people who only look ahead, with no regard to what brought them there in the 1st place.

I grieve for the demise of our BLK C diary.

Good bye and damned you are, cos the forum has replaced you.

For the Forum promises much better participation from all than u.

For the simple fact that you are no more in need.

To all the authors of past posts, i suggest u copy ur piece in one little file called: obsolete writings.

Cos tts how previous old posts are being treated here.

I grieve.

Of balls and spins

If you've missed Friday's table tennis match, then you'd probably wanna bang your head at the wall behind block C. Simply because you have just missed the event of the IBG season thus far. Table tennis is always a joy to watch as it seemed impossibly entertaining to see tiny balls being curved, spinning in all directions conceivable only to God.

Block C traditionally is a major force to be reckoned with in table tennis, with the plethora of our IHG players making significant impacts in our games. Today is no less different. As we go against block A and block B for both guys and girls event, we're treated with a galore of fantastic ball plays.

The guys dominated both their matches, gunning down block A with relative ease, and finishing off block B without a sweat. OK, so block B gave us a scare, but that's OK 'cause our guys rock big time out there today.

The girls did not have such good runs, as they were defeated in both their encounters with block A and block B respectively. But that's OK, as always, they gave their best. What matters is that they enjoyed the games, and didn't have even a tinge of regret. No doubt, there were tears, and of course half-smiles, but in the end, we all know, you know, you tried your best. So girls heads up high.

The focus today was the final between block C guys and block D guys. Both teams were tensed, and were greatly supported by their every ready, loud-cheering supporters. Block C got off to a good start, only to falter in the first game, losing both sets to block D. Block C continued to fight well, but really could not done anything more than just holding their ground to give block D a run for their money. Even their super senior admitted that block C had had a good run so far, and is worthy of a champ.

In the end, after the dust settled, block C had to be contented with a second place. But this second place is a close one, as I strongly believe that in any other day, block C could have taken the 5-point home.

Here we go again

Badminton: VS Block E

After a one day break, the second week of IBG kicks off with the mixed team badminton. The evening started with block C taking on block E in this event. Block C's first pair set the bar from the beginning with quick shots, jumping smashes and couple of good drop shots. Block E responded with some good play, but it proved to be futile as block C wraped up the first match within 15 minutes.

Our second pair, which was all-female, got a drubbing from block E as they overpowered our girls easily. But true to the block C spirit, the girls gave a good fight and at times made some good shots. But the match ended with block E as the victor, and the score now was leveled at 1-1.

Our third pair, came up against probably block E's best scratch pair of the evening. Their shuttlecock placement was good, as our boys were caught napping couple of times. But the guys made good, as they surged ahead with a 9-5 lead, and then again, fell back to sleep as the block E guys levelled and then took the lead at 12-10. By now, the crowd is on their feet, as the excitment was too hard to contain. Our boys, with the heart of steel, fought well to snatch the service back, and brought the game home in style.

Next up, was the fourth pair, and again block C had no answer to block E aggression and very technical play. In the end, block C succumbed to block E's pressure and the score stood at 2-2 into the last match, which was the mixed doubles. The mixed doubles started off with both pairs paralleling each other's strength and weaknesses. However, as the game proceeded, block E started to play more attacking stokes, and block C had no answer to them again. But it was a good fight, and in the end, although block E won the encounter with 3-2 score, block C showed great promise going into the next match against block A.

Badminton: VS Block A

Block A has always been good in badminton. And the arrival of their super senior did not help the morale of block C, already one down from previous match. But block C being block C, stepped up to the challenge with a fresh line-up, couple of swaps, two new scratch pairs, and renewed spirits. The first pair took the game well and played intelligently to make the score 1-0 to block C. Although at times, there were instances when block A seemed to be in control, block C's first pair always managed to break their momentum and took the service from them. In the end, block C prevail to the delight of the crowd.

Block C's second pair was a scratch pair, untested and new. However they played like veterens as they gave block A a run for their money. Block A, although superior technically, was too nervous, as block C, having nothing to lose and everything to gain, gave the best performance thus far for the girls. However, in the end, block A made good, and wook the point making it 1-1.

The third pair was as if walking themselves into lion's den as they were up against block A best pair, with a super senior in it. Everybody thought that it will be an easy win for block A. But block C showed everybody that we will never let ourselves be bullied around. As the game progressed, block C put up a good performance to upset the block A pair. But being superior in almost every aspects, they took the game, and the lead at 2-1. But block C certainly made their journey a tat more difficult.

The fourth pair, is again a new untested scratch pair. And again, the game was thought to be block A's as everybody assumed block C has no chance against block A. But surprise surprise, as block C girls produced an epic display of guts and spirit as they took on block A like heroins, and won the battle. The game was as exciting as it can get, as block C made some good shots, played with hearts, and won the game with style. Suddenly the encounter was thrown wide open at 2-2.

The last pair, the mixed doubles, was the best possible we can have for the evening. And we're up against block A's best player in their pair. It was down to the wire, this battle of wits as both pairs made good efforts to out-do one another. Most notably, for Baby Weijin and his funny way of playing badminton, he did well to defend block A's attacks. And also Cylysce for being able to defend against Jason's smashes (Woot~!!!). After a good 17 minutes of play, block C finally won the game with 15-13 and made the score 3-2.

But in the end, we did not get into the finals. But what's more important, is that we had enjoyed this evening terribly well.

Something worth re-JOYCE-ing about

For all the normality of match reporting, maybe today I would like to take time off to just tell everybody that the girls did well for tough rugby, the guys did not so well for tough rugby. However, the guys got their maiden win from hockey, and the girls an agonising second in hockey.

But most important, today I would just like to highlight certain things much deeper than just losing or winning. They're the commitment, the love, and above all the passion and desire to make things good. And today, I've seen all these in block C, and especially in Joyce.

If there was ever such thing as greatness, this has to be it. The hockey girls final against block B. Not for the fact that block B won, or the fact that block C's route to the final includes an overwhelming 5-0 win. But greatness in form of spirit shown by the girls. The girls fought till the very end, and gave all their best only to lose to the folly of men. The true winners are our girls, for they fought well, and true to the spirit of sportsmanship. But that is another story for another day. Today, it's about a special someone who has made IBG enjoyable and great this far.

Everyday if you go down to support block C in IBG, if you ever go down, you'll see Joyce, ever ready to lead the cheer, if not to lead the team to play. And this, this is something not everybody has the guts to do, nor have the commitment to carry on. And you may notice, if you ever pay attention, Joyce has played in every game the girls have participated in, except track. Every single game. And it takes a special kind of love and passion in her to continue doing what she's doing.

She is tired. And I truly understand that. And nobody else can claim he or she is tired, simply because nobody gave as much as Joyce, and nobody felt as much as Joyce. Shame on those who never showed up, nor gave as much as a pint of effort. For all the things we do, and say, will have great effects on the morale of everybody. And what Joyce has given thus far, gives strength to everybody.

In the final hockey match, Joyce fell and probably hurt herself. At half-time she cried, but claimed that everything is alright. I don't know. She was probably in great pain, but she continued playing simply because there was nobody else to substitute her. And she was extremely tired, from playing all 4 touch rugby matches in the morning, but still had to play hockey because nobody else was around. And the final match dragged on for the longest time, but still she had to continue on, because she is carrying the responsibility and hope of those who weren't around.

And in the end, when block B won, she apologised to everybody. And it pains me greatly to see that, because she had given her beyond what is expected of her, and despite having given everything she had, she apologised to everybody. Despite everything Joyce has been through, she wants to attend the next day's volleyball and swimming, even though the fatigue is evident in her face.

This spirit, inside her, is worth keeping. This passion inside her, is worth rejoicing about. And if you're reading this, the next time you see her, give her a pat on her back. Give your encouragement to those who played, and gave more than they were required to. And reflect, because this passion, this love for the block, is something we have not seen for the longest time.

Block C, this is something worth fighting for, this spirit that bonds us together, much closer.

Hattrick for the girls, and suddenly the heat is on the guys

Handball: VS Block D

Handball has always been a sport that the block C girls traditionally dominates. Today the handball girls started off with a game against block D. It was, as we have come to accustom to, another match which block C showed great dominance and showed little signs of cracking. The match took off with exhilarating pace as block C hammered 4 past block D's keeper. As block D pulled one back, block C stepped up their offense and continued to pressure block D's defense. Yiying, together with Evelyn (super senior!) made the best out of their partnership to bring the score up to 10-1 at half time. The second half was much more casual, although block C continued to show great powress over block D to bring the final score to an encouraging 16-1 win.

Handball: VS BLock B

Block B having had the luxury to watch block C's play, had some psychological and tactical advantage over block C. The start of the match brought back memories of last year's handball IBG, as we put 3 past block B's keeper, without any answer from block B. The score stood that way till half time. Second half saw a more intense and chaarged up block B as they keep the pressure on block C's defense, and kept Yiying in check with excellent man-marking and having 3 players clamp Yiying down every time she was near the 6 yard line. Block C slowed down as fatigue set in, and allowed block B to catch up and level with 2 mins of play time left on the clock. The match ended with a 3-3 score, without a clear victor, as both blocks countered each other's strengths with tactical play. But a draw was enough to see block C through to the final.

Handball: Final VS Block B

Through a twist of fate, block C faced block B again in the final, a reminiscence of last year's IBG. Having played block B in the star system earlier, block C wised up and used couple of good strategies to neutralise block B's most threatening player. We took the early lead and were 2 up before block B pulled one back. Seeing that the handball girls were at a loss on cracking block B's defense, the captain made a sound judgment to substitute Evelyn with Shuwen (SUPER Senior~!!!). Shuwen's entrance immediately lifted the team, as she added depth and pace into block C's game. With both Shuwen and Yiying pairing up to attack, block B could not decide who they should mark. The confusion allowed Shuwen to score 2 more goals bringing the score to 4-1. At this time, signs of cracking were evident in block B's players. As such they substituted out their star goalie Xueying with their own super senior, Stacy, to add on to their firepower.

Stacy, as did Shuwen, added much needed pace and intelligent game play into block B's game. But it soon proved futile, as Yiying put 2 more past block B's keeper. By then, everything else was history as C-towners jumped in ecstacy with the final whistle going off with the score 6-1.

With this win, the girls continues with their 100% victory rate, a hattrick of IBG golds, and in the process made history for block C. The guys, suddenly feeling the heat, certainly have to work harder to match the girls' exceptionally good run in IBG this year.

But then again, it's all about effort, isn't it? Three cheers to block C, win or lose, we still enjoy ourselves as a block.

Netball girls do us proud

There was really nothing much more we can expect from block C netball girls as they play their way into the finals and came up top against block B 13-11. But before that, lets just keep in mind that although block C seemed to have relatively easy time against block E and D in the star system, it was really the individuals' brilliances which help the team to clinch the netball gold.

Against block E, block C looked shaky at the beginning. But once the nerves settled, it was all the way forward without looking back. Chalking up points by points, block C totally dominated the play until the end. There were times when block E made couple of good blocks. However they could not make even a dent on block C's dominance. The match ended with a score 16-5 to blockC.

Block C's next opponent was block D. Without showing even the slightest hint of weakness, block C continued to dominate the play from the start till the end. The match started slow, although block C was already 3 up. At half time, the score stood at 4-1. Second half saw block C stamping its authority, blazing its way to a 14-1 score at the final whistle. With this convincing victory, a place in the final was sealed.

The final saw block C up against block B. Traditionally, there had always been intense rivalry between these two blocks. Keeping this in mind, the girls switched a gear higher and stepped up their offence. True to block B's reputation, they fought well. Block C took the early lead and maintained their lead throughout the whole match. But block B kept mounting pressure and they were always a point or two behind, as if lurking to see if block C was going to falter. But block C held up well and in the end block C came up the victor.

Special mention goes to Le Hia as she was injured during her play. Block C gives her our best wishes and hopes she gets well soon. On top of that, block C thanks the seniors who made this win possible, to Yiying and Evelyn. All in all, it was another great IBG outing for the girls on top of their track win yesterday.

Block C girls triumph on their first IBG outing

Track

After the ceremonial opening of IBG 06/07, it was business as usual as block C had a fruitful IBG outing. The day kicked off with the girls 4x100m. The girls were chasing the runaway leader but failed to make good their excellent start. In the end, it was a close fight for third place, but we had to settle for a fourth. Next up was guys 4x100m. We got off to a flying start, but soon fell back and were trailing much of the time. The guys gave their best and sprint their hearts out. There was nothing to regret about after the last man crossed the finishing line.

The 4x400m girls and guys were next. Our girls continued their encouraging run, no pun intended, and was dominating the event right till the end. However it was unfortunate that the girls had to be contented with a 2nd place after a flying start and a good run. The guys however did not have such good luck, as they struggled for greater pace. The event saw the guys fighting, as if it was a matter of live and death, for the third placing. It was again not our day as the guys faltered at the last 100m and came in fourth.

Our saving grace came in the form of the medley event. With the cheer getting ever louder, our guys and girls found their inner strength as they leave the rest of the blocks scratching their heads wondering what hit them. We got off to a sizzling start and maintained our tempo throughout the race. The turning point came when we took the lead and we never looked back. It was certainly captivating to see our guys and girls oozing with style as they claimed the first placing for the medley event.

All in all, the girls came in first overall, and the guys an encouraging fourth placing. The results showed that block C is a force to be reckon with in this IBG and we shall never give up in fighting for our block's glory in IBG. But most important, as our block head put it, we are out there to enjoy our IBG outing, winning is of course a bonus.

Three cheers for block C.

2nd day of IBG sees Block C put up another good effort

BBall: VS Block D

2nd day of IBG kicked off with block C guys taking on block D in basketball. Both sides were equally matched in the opening minutes of the match, with block D making first blood with their 2-pointer from left side of the court. With Zhaohui as the point guard, block C equalized and took the lead, albeit for a short moment, as block D stormed to a 12-point lead.

True to the block C fighting spirit, coupled with great individual efforts from the players, block C took the fight to block D's door step, and cut down their comfortable lead to only 2 points, with 5 mins of play time. Panicking, block D made some unforced errors, and block C equalized with 50 seconds of play time left. Sensing that we could stage an upset, block C charged with such gusto only to be disappointed by a exceptional play from block D. In the dying seconds, block C's last attempt at the basket failed and we had to settle for a 18-16 loss to block D.

Although in the end block D claimed the bounty, the game was much closer than what the score suggested. Had it been another day, block C would have triumph.

BBall: VS Block E

2nd match of the day for block C sees the heart of lions within our bball guys. Against block E, we had no answer to the tactically and technically more superior opponents. Block E was dominating from the first second till the last. However, our boys deserve special mention for their effort and their fighting spirit. Lawrence showed great composure and made a couple of baskets in a consistent effort throughout the match. Abhi, for his antics and graceful spinning, jumping out of courts just to keep the ball in. Biao ge, for his superb work rate that never cease to amaze. And the rest of the boys for their belief and spirit.

Although the score of 45-14 is disheartening, we are proud of our basketball guys. They threw everything they had into the game, and in the end they walk tall. Tomorrow is another day, and another chance for block C to shine.

Roll of honor:
Kane(Capt.), Zhaohui, Lawrence, Yuqiao, Biao ge, Tat, Junsheng, CK, Samson, Dominic, Abhi.

Block C puts up gallant fight in the opening matches of IBG

Sepak: VS Block A

The evening opens with Lenny, Darius and Lingxiao as the first regu against block A. Block C got off a flying start obtaining 4 points in a row without any answer from block A. The momentum however, swung towards block A as they mount a 7 points streak. True to the block C spirit, our first regu gave all their best and called for tactical time-out at 19-13 to block A. The match ended, however, 21-14 in block A's favor. Our second regu, Bernard, Tiansheng and Remy also suffered the same fate as the first regu as they bow down to block A also by 21-14 but, not without putting up probably the best performance for the night. By now, the crowd is already on their feet, cheering their lungs out to support our guys in their effort to strive for greater result in our medal tally.

The crowd led by Joyce, made the most noise and was probably the only thing more enjoyable than the match itself. The cheers did have great positive effect on our players as our third regu, CK, Huixiang and Lewis showed promising signs to stage an upset against block A favorite regu. Alas, it was not to be, as our third regu have to content with 21-15 to block A.

Block C certainly gave block A a run for their money, and this will be remembered as the most exciting opening matches we had ever been given the opportunity to watch.

Sepak: VS Block B

Against block B, our boys put up another sterling performance. Tat, Jason and Remy as our first regu against block B, gave one hell of a entertaining show. They stormed ahead with a 5 points run with such a style that block B has no reply. Even Remy had time to place the sepak ball nicely into the sound control room, much to the delight of the crowd. As tension escalated, with only one point to wrap up the match and give block C our first win, Tat, Jason and Remy had a lapse of concentration, allowing block B to narrow the margin which they had so stylishly established earlier. But the scare was soon soothed with Tat heading the ball accurately to the right hand side of the court giving block C the first win 21-18.

Lenny, Lewis and Tiansheng, taking cue from our first regu, continued to mount pressure on block B. On fire, and full of enthusiasm, they wrapped up the match 21-11. They gave block B no chance to reply and certainly feelings were high with the second win. Our third regu, Hieu, Lingxiao and Junsheng also gave a sterling performance against block B. At times, it seemed as if it was Hieu's night as he single-handedly anchored the team to a 21-15 win. But then again, he made some silly mistakes which left his two team-mates to wrap-up the match.

All in all, with the 3 wins against block B, block C had a mathematical chance to advance into the finals. Had block E eliminated block D, it would have been our first finals for IBG 06/07. Alas, it was not to be, as block D put up a good fight to end block E's good run to set up a mouth-watering final against block A. But that is another story for another day. Block C has stomped the courts and made our mark, and what's more important is that we as a block enjoyed our first IBG outing this year.

May the fighting spirit showed last night be carried all the way throughout this IBG, and I wish block C a great fun and good luck for our remaining games.

IBG!!!!!!!

Woot! IBG has officially started! (wahz, an F16 just whooooooooot pass... )

Anywayz, i guess our roving reporters are frantically typing out their post matches reports during lectures right now. Jiayou!

Its a shame we couldn't get into the sepak finals...we had a good chance of winning it considering the number of guys passionate bout this sport.. But i guess ultimately it was great fun cos every guy who wanted to play had a chance to play esp the juniors, and the audience had a hooting good time cheering our ctowners on! wooo~ wooo~ ROCK ON C-TOWNERS! (just remember to bring more water down hee)

On a side note, we need a cameraman!!! or woman!!! someone who can take pics and record down videos and post it up here. So in addition to exciting post matches reports, we can have 'live coverage' of the games. I would love to be one.. but er no camera =D. So anyone wanna volunteer to be one?

Also anyone who has any pics watsoever, just post them up here, the forum or the gallery!

Male Comebacks

In case you tried, and failed, here's the backup.

Man: Haven't I seen you someplace before?
Woman: Yes, that's why I don't go there anymore.
Man: Really? I heard it was because everyone there thinks you're a fat skank.

Man: Is this seat empty?
Woman: Yes, and this one will be if you sit down.
Man: Probably because you'd be on your knees greeting my crotch.

Man: Your place or mine?
Woman: Both. You go to yours, and I'll go to mine.
Man: That's cool, 'cause after I'm done sleeping with you in the back of my car, I don't give a crap where you go.

Man: How do you like your eggs in the morning?
Woman: Unfertilized.
Man: No problem, I can always withdraw onto your face.

Man: Do you want to dance?
Woman: No!
Man: I think you misheard me. I said you look fat in those pants.

Man: If I could see you naked, I'd die happy.
Woman: If I saw you naked, I'd probably die laughing.
Man: That works for me... as long as you're still warm when I do you.

guys i tink we have to have our say check this out

We always hear "the rules" from the female side. Now here are the rules from the male side. These are our rules! Please note... these are all numbered "1" ON PURPOSE!
1. Learn to work the toilet seat. You're a big girl. If it's up, put it down. We need it up, you need it down. You don't hear us complaining about you leaving it down.
1. Saturday = sports. It's like the full moon or the changing of thetides. Let it be.
1. Shopping is NOT a sport. And no, we are never going to think of it that way.
1. Crying is blackmail.
1. Ask for what you want. Let us be clear on this one: Subtle hints do not work! Strong hints do not work! Obvious hints do not work! Just say it!
1. Yes and No are perfectly acceptable answers to almost every question.
1. Come to us with a problem only if you want help solving it. That's what we do. Sympathy is what your girlfriends are for.
1. A headache that lasts for 17 months is a problem. See a doctor.
1. Anything we said 6 months ago is inadmissible in an argument. In fact, all comments become null and void after 7 days.
1. If you won't dress like the Victoria's Secret girls, don't expect us to act like soap opera guys.
1. If you think you're fat, you probably are. Don't ask us.
1. If something we said can be interpreted two ways, and one of the ways makes you sad or angry, we meant the other one.
1. You can either ask us to do something or tell us how you want it done. Not both. If you already know best how to do it, just do it yourself.
1. Whenever possible, please say whatever you have to say during commercials.
1. Christopher Columbus did not need directions and neither do we.
1. ALL men see in only 16 colors, like Windows default settings. Peach, for example, is a fruit, not a color. Pumpkin is also a fruit. We have no idea what mauve is.
1. If it itches, it will be scratched. We do that.
1. If we ask what is wrong and you say "nothing," we will act like nothing's wrong. We know you are lying, but it is just not worth the hassle.
1. If you ask a question you don't want an answer to, expect an answer you don't want to hear.
1. When we have to go somewhere, absolutely anything you wear is fine... Really.
1. Don't ask us what we're thinking about unless you are prepared to discuss such topics as baseball, the shotgun formation, or monster trucks.
1. You have enough clothes.
1. You have too many shoes.
1. I am in shape. Round is a shape.
1. Thank you for reading this; Yes, I know, I have to sleep on the couch tonight, but did you know men really don't mind that, it's like camping.

FYI

Haa.. abit boliao. So let Uncle Darius educate u peeps on cartoons.
So that u people wun go ard teaching ur kids the wrong things.
Imagine ur son pointing at Mickey mouse and, "look Dad, Donald Duck!!"
Aiyo.. haha

Today's Lesson:

Tom and Jerry were an animated cat (Tom) and mouse (Jerry) team who formed the basis of a massively successful series of theatrical short cartoons created, written and directed by animators William Hanna and Joseph Barbera (later of Hanna-Barbera fame). The series was produced by Hollywood studio Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer from 1940 - 1958, when the studio's animation unit was closed down. MGM, in 1960, outsourced the production of Tom and Jerry to Rembrandt Films (led by Gene Deitch) in Eastern Europe. In 1963, production of Tom and Jerry shorts returned to Hollywood with Chuck Jones' Sib-Tower 12 Productions; this series lasted until 1967. Tom and Jerry later resurfaced in TV cartoons produced by Hanna-Barbera (1975 - 1977; 1990 - 1993) and Filmation Studios (1980 - 1982). The original Hanna-Barbera shorts are notable for having won seven Academy Awards, tying it with Walt Disney's Silly Symphonies as the most-awarded theatrical cartoon series.

Tom is a bluish-grey housecat (or greyish-blue, depending on the short. His fur color is close to that of the Russian Blue breed of cats) who lives a pampered life, while Jerry is a small brown mouse who always lives in close proximity to him. Tom is very quick-tempered and thin-skinned, while Jerry is independent and opportunistic. Though very energetic and determined, Tom is no match for Jerry's brains and wits. By the iris-out of each cartoon, Jerry is usually shown triumphant, while Tom is shown as the loser. However, many other results have been reached: on rare occasions, Tom triumphs. Sometimes, usually ironically, they both lose. Once in a while, particularly at Christmas, Tom may actually save Jerry's life, or at least share gifts with him. On at least one occasion, their daily chase is portrayed as a sort of enjoyed routine between the two of them; in one particular episode, Tom is smitten with a female cat, and then Jerry, jealous, proceeds to break them up, after which Tom is grateful and they shake eachother's hands, and then they mutually start the chase again.

Haha.. thanks Ham for teaching me how to put pics. Haha.

check this out ppl!!hot "babes"

Some Scheduling...

With all the talk about breakfast, lunch and dinner. Why not we schedule some timings? Say breakfast can be at around 8.30am. Or for those overnight ones, it'll be 7am. Lunch can be around 12-1pm. Then dinner will be 6pm as usual loh. Maybe we can meet in lounge before we go have meals lah, then msn each other loh.

Anyway, I got a lot of requests from ppl after that article came up in the Cock Up, especially Saving Face. Was it the good rating or the "girl on girl action"? Haven't seen it yet though. But aside from me, there are many who also download lah, gotta give credit to them. I would like to note that Liang Liang downloads much much more stuff than me one, my list could be his tip of the iceberg. But his is exclusive membership I guess. That was partially why I decided to ran my own. Anyway, that's not the point, the point is that you can ask around (esp him) for movies too. After the article, people already telling me NUS should be sending me an email soon. Or one day you see me disappear from msn you should know what happen lah.

On the other hand hor, I was just thinking, since so many are watching my movies on their own, won't that kill the movie nights that we used to have in the lounge? Wanna see what you think before I schedule sharing times.

Shiqin aka Potato

The "Not-So-Old" Bird Speaks

I was glancing over the roofscape of Sheares Hall as the first light of dawn peered from behind it. The rays scintillating in the distance drew a silver line across from Blk E to Blk A, casting an almost ethereal aura upon the whole hall. The silence of night was soon to be replaced by a cacophony of chirping, and not forgetting the incessant clucks from the resident roosters in the halfway houses. I stood enthralled by the diversity of birds that piously visited the rooftop every morning.

The mynahs gathered in numbers noisily chatting over their breakfast of worms, much like the Level 7 girls engrossed in their gossips. Occasionally, a majestic kite or an eagle, perches atop Blk B's roof in solitude, but keeping its watchful eyes over the area for a careless prey. The Level 8 folks, are much like the eagle, having amassed their wealth of CCA points to own that commanding position.

Cuckatoos are surprisingly common in the wild, or perhaps it is just an odd phenomenon in this part of Singapore. A relative of parrots, this fella makes the loudest noise, with its distinctive calls echoing across Heng Mui Keng Terrace. It may appear to be an elegant white bird, crowned by its proud yellow tuff of feathers , but you'll rather it not opening its beaks, declaring to the whole world the little secrets it discovered in its course of flight (like our Ms Blk C).

Flocks of pigeons and sparrows, the blue gem of a kingfisher, and lovebirds like pairs of black-naped golden orioles, often make their transits here in Sheares Hall. There's a lot more species which I could not name. I haven't quite found this great variety here until I started hanging out on the rooftop tending to the plants. Like us, they come and leave.

The first MAF Brother as a C-Towner
When I first came to hall I knew it was a place of transit. I would come and leave, taking with me nothing beautiful. I was here for two reasons: I had to pick a hall as contracted by MOE, and then there was Chye who urged all of my buddy MAF Brothers to pick Sheares over Kent Ridge. They say birds of a feather flock together. We had decided to come to Sheares Hall, make significant impact, and leave together, for there would not be any more reasons to stay. Maybe because we're all very noisy people, we ended up a niche above most others here, playing our various roles in block comms, road relay captain, dance ic and what not (squatters too)... ... Soon Yaohui left (he was never quite around in the first place because he was committed to his girlfriend), and Chye left his glorious legacy of having charmed the trial of admirers (including Aud**s) to settle in with Yeejia, too bade Blk A farewell. While Tat no longer resides in my room and now spends his time with Caroline in Blk E (like Fulin with Joyce), Weijie just spends his time everywhere. Junsheng was the only one left next door but I often leave Siqi and him to their affairs. It is only recently, when everyone becomes preoccupied with their own lives, that Sheares Hall, Blk C and especially the dancers, made a significant difference to my stay here. I may be leaving for SEP, but now, there are reasons to come back.

Sometimes, i regret how little opportunity I gave myself to learn more about strangers. People grow comfortable in their own social circles, and close their doors to the others. It is only now that I realise that I would kinda laugh at the thought of Shiqin's couch potato form during the senior farewell's party, or remember Kathy's impatient banging on my door to wake me up for lectures, or truly for the first time see Wendy cry (to me she's always been very strong-headed and relentless in pursuing the things she wants), and feel very sorry for her. There's Shuwen and Derlyn whom I love to suan1. Everything about them can be laughed about. It's odd how you think you had so much time with them through block comm that you would not want to see them as often, and now regret not making full use of the time then to know them. Just as it's a pity that you only discovered there's so many beautiful birds on the rooftop now.

I love my danSHers
I guess the best part of it all was having to join SH dance because there were the really good times and company from the fellow dancers. Mark's always making subtle dirty jokes, almost every sentence he speaks hides a figment of his wild fantasies. We have a shared hobby of poking fun at "Fatt"-Ling (肥玲 aka 兽玲 aka Chewbacca aka Derlyn), and a (most unfortunate... haha) shared fate of walking the path of serving Block Comm for a second year. Mark always remind me of a grizzly bear. Big, brown and bellows when he laughs (he always go "Huh-huh-huh-huh-huh" when he laughs). Eley's got a sardonic humour and witty remarks. Not forgetting her blatant use of profanities, matched only by Hazel's vocabulary. She would probably be the one who would speak most truly the way I feel in BGR stuff. I was told that I give very sound advice (but surprisingly am not in one myself), and perhaps that was because we share the same views in relationships. Fangxi is in cahoots with Eley, together their rebuttals against the guys leave us speechless. Fangx holds her principles very strongly, and I believe even Bona also cannot subdue her. I could remember how I had to give in to her last year for OpenHouse performance. She certainly knows how to exploit a woman's prerogatives. Janice is the only girl I know who could b as crappy as the guys. Once she burst out laughing, we'll need a lot of aspirin to get her calm again. The drama mama has her skin thick enough to pull the most ridiculous act in the public. Yes, maybe that's why dancers are who they are. They have no shame.

Seniors and Juniors Alike
I feel sometimes I have not lived up to the expectations of my current block comm, because I had not fought for them enough. I know I have a bunch of very capable people, and I think they have been misused. Many will say how incapable the Year Ones are, but i beg to differ. In fact, I had fended for them time and again. Its only recently, that I felt so much for how the way things are in the hall. The block comm is privileged to pick the cream of the crop, these people are full of potential and its agreeable by everyone and that was why they were chosen. If it turns out that all Block comms are not up to expectations (of some seniors), surely, it is not the fault of the year ones, because many people bear witness to their capabilities earlier on to have chosen them. Something must be wrong with the system to have turned off their potential. And this I believe is a serious problem at the JCRC level or perhaps higher. I cannot understand any rationale for penalising our Year Ones. We picked the best and when they do not leave up to expectations we penalise them. What about those who are not doing anything at all? They get away scott-free.

I would agree almost all the time with the things ZhaoHui says. One thing I agree very well is that the seniors who complain that the Year Ones are not good enough are often those who do not do anything and hide in their own rooms. Chio was frustrated with Blk D June's comments. For more info, just visit his blog, see what was written by her in the tagboard and be a judge for yourself. It will be unfair for me to comment further. Yes, it is the block comms responsibilities to make the block more happening. In the course of this, we would knock on your doors and try have you involve with activities. Some seniors say that the block comm is not capable because they had not been able to involve more people for activities. If we did not try, then we are deserving of their comments. But if we did try, by means which had been adopted by earlier block comms (such as knocking on everyone's doors) or by new methods (which should be the case since times have changed), and the turn out is still not up to expectation, then the problem does not just lie with the block comm, but is truly the residents. And by residents... I mean not just the juniors, but also the seniors. There is really no such thing as an "off junior batch".... just as there is no such thing as "the culture people do not go for IHG"... I agree there are off people... but this does not equate to juniors. Just like, yes, I agree that there is less support for IHG this year, but this does not equate to the culture people are the ones who do not support. Making such statements to group people has devastating consequences. It creates divides. I see only one such division, the people who do not contribute, and the people who do. And in either category, there are both juniors and seniors, culture or sportsman.... SHEARITES should be the term used, to be precise. Leaders of the hall must be able to see this clearly, and must nullify such statements by speaking to those who make them, and not reinforce this division by telling those concern that people think they suck. This only invites retaliation from the concern party and worsen the situation.

Zhaohui likes to seek the easiest way out, haha! I share his views most of the time, except when it gets too chaokeng. Haha! I only do things that is worth the effort, and most of my block commers think so too. Processes must be streamlined and made efficient, but at the same time, we cannot negate the "people" factor or else block comm will be cold and mechanical. To have a "people" factor would sometimes mean your work processes get a little compromise, so a balance have to be struck. Nonetheless, I believe Block Comm 0506 have matured a lot from our bad planning with Buaya Week to Seniors Farewell. Meimei no longer bickers with Zhaohui, and when they do, each takes a step back. Especially Zhaohui who knows better not to infuriate her. Worksessions use to be more mechanical, but now I feel (not sure abt the how the rest feels lah) that we are closer, and talking cock more while working together. Many of you block commers may not see it yet, maybe its the vantage point from which you guys stand, but I think there's been tremendous change in the block comm dynamics.

Sometimes, I feel like I have let Candy down because I know this was not the level of closeness she had expected of us. She tries hard, always remembering to have a block comm foto taken at the end of every event. I try to make that a point also, although sometimes it slips my mind. When we first urged you guys into block comm, I had fears of giving all a false impression of what you all should expect, and I worry that this is what you all think now. Meimei said something which made me feel very proud of her some time ago, she told me that she felt a lot more people grow more on recently. I said the block spirit is coming back... Boo! It's the fact that she actually noted this tells me that it is of her concern. And from the earlier stages, where she appears to not give much of a damn about the hall, till now, where she fervently helps to put up notices and beautify the rooftop, it made me feel very proud, not forgetting Sixian's contribution to part of her change in attitude.

I tell Wendy that sometimes, our guys may have their own little agendas, let them be. We should understand better because we too have our agendas. We should not put them down because of these isolated incidents. So far, I think they have been doing well. Do not compare to the past block comms because the hall is different. Traditions are not constructive. By Darwin's theory, if you do not keep up with change, you will be exterminated in this game of survival. It's nature's law and I believe, nature is till now, the best architect. Nature has the best constructs.

My Pride for Wendy
Wendy in my opinion is under a lot of stress and pressure from seniors and from the eyes of many others. Sometimes, these seniors do not exist. We always speak of how they will not be happy when this is not done or that is not done. But, who really are these people? We have to give Wendy the understanding. She had put in a lot of time and effort in running the comm and I say its not easy for her. Many of you would not know how much more she has to do, although we only see her giving out orders. Her computer is full of block com related documents and excel files and things she needs to submit to COBH and other comms. I understand also that people may think she sticks a lot to traditions. This I agree. But Wendy has a greater capacity to allow for changes now. There had been a tremendous change from the earlier stages when she first step up till now. She used to hold very strong views and it is very difficult to change these opinions or negotiate compromises. But now, she's far (I would say 135degrees change out of 180degrees) more compromising. When the next Blockhead steps up, he or she will be under the same purview. But I say you should stand up for what you believe is right. Do the right thing, and not do what people think you should do.

The Block Comm Redefined
The block comm's job is really to build greater relationships for the block. It is not to do saikang. We are not the chief maids who would cook your suppers and wash your kitchens all the time. What was the initial purpose of having suppers? It's in hope of getting residents to interact and build better bonds. It use to work last time. Residents come and help in the cooking process, then we eat together and we clean up together. Regardless of whether you are block comm or not. There's interaction and there's block spirit.

Now, this doesn't work anymore. The same few people come around to eat and stick to their own cliques and leaves before the show begins. Why does the block comm continue to spend so much money over suppers which do not serve the original purpose of interaction, and after that leave a whole mess in the kitchen for the block comm to clean? And the residents happily eat and leaves without knowing a stranger better and then not helping the poor block commers to clean? Cleaning together sure build better relationships I must say. It should have been part of the supper programme. Have supper together, and clean kitchen together as a block. This doesnt work because the residents are no longer like those of the older times. A new form of activity to promote interaction must be devised.

I told Jason, Zhaohui and Darius to organise more games. Sports are cheap. They are free. And people regardless of levels, cliques, race and nationality plays sports. And so far, I must commend on Jason for the job well done. Jason (together with Meimei) came into block comm only after Raine left. He may not have been very forthcoming initially, but I have seen his efforts for very often entertaining C-towners for the hilarious notices and posters he puts up in the lift. That is spontaneity. And people who says that block comm year ones are not up to expectation may want to reconsider that. Who appreciates this spontaineity? To the other residents, it is just another piece of A4 paper in the lift. But would they have done the same? Most would not. At least Jason don't put up slipshot notices. Together with Meimei, both learns some adobe and try to steal a picture or two of couples in the rooms to promote Buaya week, or Night of 77 Stars. Don't compare to the same publicity that previous block comms have done, they are different and unique.

Block comm had decided to have Seniors Farewell in the lounge for a simple reason. On the rooftop, it's just too big and people stick to their own cliques. But in the lounge, one person speaks and tells a joke, everybody laughs together. Now we are really targetting the original roles of the block comm to build bonds rather than to serve food and supper. The cleaning of the kitchen is far more worthwhile after seniors' farewell than previous events, at least to me. I guess some may find it a little cramp and hot, but at the end of it, we all had fun. And kudos to Block Comm 0506 for having made it successful. But more importantly, it is the residents who brought the block spirit back.

And note, I say the residents brought it back. Block comm can only seed this block spirit, but the bulk of it still lies with the C-towners. Whether block spirit goes up or down, is really a function of the residents and not the block comm. Whichever fella who wants to penalise the block comm is targetting the wrong culprit. Police catch the wrong thief, crime rates of course remain high lah... then they will sit and continue to interrogate the poor fella when the poor fella is truly innocent.

Alright... that's all I hafta say... Hahaz... this not so old bird is flying off soon to his next destination. When I watch the seniors farewell video during the SL Seniors Farewell.. I kinda felt like.. Hai.. I wun haf my chance to make this video because chances are I may not be back in Sem2... and Year 4 is an uncertainty. I didn't think I would feel this way when I first came to hall, and I bet Zhaohui don't feel this way now... trust me, Zhao, I am as much a normal average Shearite as you are, and not a super siao onz Shearite. I earn enuff to let me stay for another year in year one, and I do just enough to satisfy my own interest. 109 room allo points was just because I had nothing better to do during last holidays... and vice blockhead was quite unexpected, but i still did what i needed to do. But well, I guess, things only become more beautiful when you hafta leave.

sosan has something to say..

Wah thanks teckchew for the long long post!! Will miss you juniors too..=) In fact unlike most people who are usually hyperactive in the first year, then tone down gradually towards their last year, I am one weirdo who used to be a phantom in my first year and be much more active in my last and fourth year. But I feel this works better for me as I have wonderful and fantastic moments with all of you in this final year, such that the great memories stay much deeper and more vividly in my mind. This then, is the chance i speak up before leaving block C for good.

Will never forget the uncountable talk-cock sessions and noodles-making in the lounge; Mr Jason being my buaya and bring me small little chocolates once in a while but I know his heart was somewhere else so I had to resign to fate to be a second mistress; my first chionging session with waylon etc and literally "kicked" up a big fuss and worry many people then (paiseh!=P); movie outings, movie nights that left us screaming with dont know fear or laughter...; the stupid "penguins dont live in Alaska" joke that made Darius and Derlyn tease at me numerous times that I have to dig a hole and hide my face everytime they mention it...; My recent great chionging nite with 3 babes kathy paulene and liteing; driving out to geylang for katong laksa in David the Great's Odyessey in a group of 9 (cool!!); Chingay with Paulene Darius Louie Zhaohui Kathy etc etc (miss those clown-ing days! I was the prettiest clown!! ehhh..I am the only gal mah..); the uncle darius and ah zhao yellow colour jokes; Overnight mahjong sessions; Playing IHG (thanks for all ya support! cannot forget those cheers I hear on the tracks despite a heavily panting me but yet sadly i failed to conquer..) and thanks to pretty hazel nice darius handsome jason and sexy dong chou for showering me with help during the day of my fyp submission.. it was a crazy erratic and fanatic experience. But it made me realise the essence of buddies in the block.. All these miracles and exciting times we have had in this year would not be possible if we are not living under the same roof, and even if we are, would still not be possible if you are not the kind friendly and helpful C towner i know you as.

Rather long winded here...and surely hazel will go " sosan acting cute again", but yah, just wanna let you guys know that I have a hell of a good time in Block C and treasure every single moment I have spent with you guys. Though as much as you juniors say you will miss us the seniors now (=P), before long after we pack our stuff, grab our bags, and step out of hall for the very last time, our GREAT NAMES will slowly but surely, fade away from you juniors' memories.. Our dirty footprints in the lounge and toilets will be wiped clean and traceless; our leftover food and apples in the fridge will be thrown away; our rooms taken over by even-prettier-than-us freshies and you perverted guys will be drooling over them; New block actvities, block suppers, new scandals will be happening every other night and so a whole new chapter of hall life awaits you again.. Where got time to think of us? No loh... Haiz. Tian xia wu bu san zhi yan xi, so nvm I am making use of the last bit of my time and effort to leave some tiny impacts into your busily-cramped-with-notes-and-formulas-mind, so that for this period, whenever you are stressed up anytime, a thought of us, and ME!, makes you smile, makes you laugh. Nevermind if it's my stupidness, my high pitched voice (ya ya i know everyone is imitating it... but oops all cannot make it to 80% identical, only suceed in sounding more like an electrified chicken), lame doraemon jokes, act-cuteness and oh, the little bow in a mini skirt on the day of the ihg road relay that almost make two poor guys puke. Never mind if it s all the negative side of me. As long as it wakes you up from sleepyness during mugging, my wish will be considered satifactoriy made true.

Till then, all the best to everyone for the coming exams. Running in the middle of the night? Just gimme a buzz.

And let me propose a day out at Sentosa after the exams, say 6th May, Saturday. I am sure we will all crave for the sun and fresh air after so much mugging then. Lets have a last great beach outing b4 me, derlyn and hoifu embark on the journey to Alaska ok? (will be on the lookout for polar bears there. =P)

Sheares Hall Biggest Event

It was a peaceful night on the 12th.. your's truly was having a good nap, totally oblivious to the surrondings, totally unaware of what was coming.. ( look like p6 compo?)
Then suddenly, i thot is an alarm clock. Felt like 2am. Then realised, oh damn. That should be the fire drill. Mi god. Fug. Being the guai shearite, i decided to run for my life, unlikely the other maybe 10% of the pple who risked being flamed to death in their sleep, according to the RF.
Felt like a fugging turnout. All else i needed was my helmet, pail and First Aid Dressing (FAD) for a fire drill. Watched as all the guys stormed down the stairs. Wah... really so enthu? Or irritated by the fire alarm??
We fall in (felled in?) behind our block. Our objective --> to flank past KR and the dangerous BLK F, so that we can reach our objective, .10 safely. Ya rite. As we embarked on our long journey, i check my msgs. Wah lau, comrade potato has left "Fire drill soon. Run now!"
Too late la. Here liao. Then realised many of the guys are smart, all ate earlier, then quickly siam to the library. Biz lib i guess. Stupid ones stayed at Sheares lib to get turned out =p.
Think some lanterns would have spiced up the procession ya?? under the round moon. And was still uncle Gary shouting at us to hurry up.
The party at .10( the stupid slope in front of the hall) was a blast. Never ever seen so many Shearites in my life. Not at Orientation, not at rag, not at IHG finals, but at a fire drill. There u have, the sea of orange. Should have taught cheers there ah? Haha..
Mi god. Shame on all those who missed this biggest event. U missed the last chance to see who else stayed in Sheares hall =p. Shame on all those who locked ur doors and fake, Daniel didn't even bother. There he was, room unlocked, lights on, sitting in and doing his work with the stupid ringing right outside his room. Ai zai man. Should try that next year.

Long long time ago...

U noe…prob for many of us, uni is the place where u experience great disappointments, consecutively one after another…This morning, I just suffered a CRUSHING defeat in my battle against the monsters in the digital world. The relentless attacks of “Error msges” overwhelmed me even before I have time to regain my lost footing. Coupled with the destructive force of “Segmentation errors” which work hand in hand with “BUS errors”, I knew I was doomed even before I stepped into the battlefield. Alas, this is my destiny to fulfill, and like all others there’ll times in life where u can’t escape from battles of such great magnitude. My deepest condolences to all my comrades who fell in the war against the inhumans. Albeit, without any adequate preparation, we still fought bravely n I’m really proud of tt. JUST u wait “C”, there will be time in the near future when we’ll rise and victory will prevail!!! Computing suck!!!!

Tt was just an appetizer, hahaha…anyway was just about to comment tt I always see the same thing on the blog C diary, hmm… maybe except for the overactive tag board…I think more ppl shld write le…dun always read read n read without writin anything…yeah WENDY CHEW? Imagine that if every1 of us bothers to write 1 entry a week…since there are 107 of us, minus 30 phantoms, 25 ghosts, 5 spirits, 7 muggers, 10 chiongsters who will be too bz chionging…there will be at least 30 entries per week!!!!! Well maybe a bit too much for us to read la…ermm maybe still can minus 20 who are oblivious of the happenings in this diary…haha at least there are still 10 entries to keep us entertain :). Good deal rite?

Newaz, tt besides my original intention…lol…was just thinking yesterday nite…I’m the director for the farewell video (incase u all dunno, hohohoho), yet I didn’t have any airtime to say anything..hahaha.. So, here am I to give my little speech of gratitude to the seniors out there who will be gone soon enuf even b4 we realize it…cause we’ll prob too bz mugging.

Seriously speaking, I think tt every1 will agree tt u senior guys and gals are really a great bunch and it will be a great loss to the block once u all have graduated *sob*… N truthfully, I really enjoyed myself while taking the video :) though the editing makes me feel like it’s the end of the world…Nevertheless, will miss every1 of u, like Alvin, Hoifu, Weiyih who always got cock to talk about, Lisi who perpetually refuses to acknowledge her chubbiness, Fiane who is so pretty, Thonglee who is so loving towards Fiane, Yuan2 who always go supper, Eley & Mark who dance day n nite, Yiying and Shuwen who display tremendous sportwomanship, Qiuxia who loves Guoyou, Kexin who always tapau n “cheem” sometimes, Junxiang who always takes God noes wat kind of photos, Derlyn who always say “eeiii…” when she sees me, Paulene who is constantly hungry, Hazel aka “Big Fa*k” who is always so loving, motherly, kind, polite and genteel (“erhmm..”), Diana who always so R.A… (I mean Really Attractive), Ben and Nick who always make so much noise n make lvl2 so happening (but I doubt they will be reading this), Sosan who adores doraemon, and the rest of u who I forgot to name but will always stay in my heart (at this point, Zhaohui will say…*SWEET*).

Good luck in your future endeavors and best of lucks in ur exams!! It's late, my vision is blurred, and my bed is beckonin me to warm it up. So I guess tt’s all for now. Adios amigos…

2 days before the day after tomorrow

Ladies and gentlemen, we are at war.

The devils are waging war on the towners. And we can do nothing but retaliate. It all started when a small cloud of devils ascended upon our town to look for victims. And as they gather speed and number, the towners without their defence troop, stood no chance. And when the devils were done with us, we had already suffered humiliating losses.

And when our troop came back, and heard stories about the savage attack from the devils, they gathered strength and mount a retaliatory attack. Slowly, our covert force ambushed the devils' second in command. (Who incidentally didn't take part in their first attack, and he was damn pissed that we ambushed him). We tied him to his block's door and wet him. Taste of the first blood was sweet, as the covert force slipped up to the devils lair and attacked their unsuspecting females. (In the process a fight broke out, and we had to retreat, to fight another day).

But that another day came soon enough. 20 mins after we retreated, the devils came knocking on our front door. They barricaded the stairs and sat waiting for victims from the lift. And they surrounded the lounge. The block lounge were under siege for a good 15 mins before reinforcement arrived. And reinforment arrived in a form of 3 brave souls. 'Cause I guess the rest of people were too chickin' to fight for their block. 2 of the brave men, each with bucket in their hands ambushed the devils, firing at anything that moves and have a shaft between their legs. Themselves too under rapid fire from the devils backup forces. The other, without any form of weapons, went in and drew fire from all corners. The trapped towners came out from the lounge and what ensue was a disaster of catastrophic proportions. (Again, another fight broke out, and we had to call off the attack).

And as both parties count their losses, both us and the devils will soon be facing each other off once again. And this time, there will be no mecy. As we plan and gather intelligence about the devils, rest assure that they too will quietly keep their watchful eyes on us, until all hell break loose.

Truce was never an option.

p/s. Damnit, I didn't go out for Valentines because the next day I have test, but bloody joined the war even though I have test the next morning. I better get my priority right.

TOP 10 April's Fool Pranks!

TOP 10 APRIL'S FOOL PRANKS~ (In ascending order...)

10) Powdering of doorsteps with prickly heat and hoping blind pple will walk into them....I did. (Gals... u think we dunno you do 1 meh, only guys kanna lo...)

9) Tying of doors with ropes and strings tightly. Stop the victim from coming out from the room.

8) Tying of door knot with objects, combined with No. 9 prank. When victim attempts to force open the door by pulling hard, object flies in. Theoretically sound, practically useless.

7) Smearing slippers with unidentified substances (like starch, butter, peanut butter, colgate etc... ) , making their feet slippery and dirty. If they haven spotted the strange piece of peanut on their berkelstock.

6) Smearing of door handles with unidentified substances (leftover from previous prank...) wishing these substances will end up on the "sticks", serving as lubricants. (For clarification on what stick is being referred to here, listen to harold's famous song.)

5) Squeeze powder onto fan's blades. Off the fan. wait.wait.wait somemore. Then stupid victim switches on the fan. Snow falls on a hot summer day.

4) Smears peanut butter on the underside of the shoe cabinet's catch, where victim will hold to open the cabinet, looking for missing slippers placed strategically inside. Poor blk head. really has a head tts blocked. Good job Mr tallandhandsomeandcanspeakgermancantspeakmardarin.

3) Tying a basin of strawberry flavoured water to the victims' doorknot with a short string. Water spills. Ants come. Victim eaten up alive by ants. Lucky only the 1st move came true.

2) Ingredient: 1 raw egg from breakfast. Timing: When the signed-on-navy victim walks out of his room for breakfast. Pre-requisite: 1 pull-up bar and a unlocked door. Act: Slot the egg in the gap between the pull-up bar and the gapping door. Result: Smashed egg (nearly!) on the victim's body when he opens the door to enter. Aftermath: Smelly corridor.

1) Cause and effect lesson no. 1.Culprit: VIctim from the No.2 Prank. VIctim: Undisclosed but witness spotted a blue-coloured japanese cat without ears. Material: Soured expired milk mixed with Mac's garlic chili. Prank:Convinced by innocent bystander that splashing the entire bottle at the lvl 7's corridor maybe too overboard, chose to place uncapped bottle on top of the fridge, prominently, hoping someone wld spill the bottle by opening the freezer section. Bystander's comments: Unless someone's bah jiu tak stamp (eyes paste with stamps in hokkien) or bah jiu gor dio sai (eyes splash with shit in hokkien), arbo the bottle can be spotted from as far as salvation army.Anyway.... Ms Jap Cat without ears went to open the freezer section... with her eyes full of sai.

Ok ladies and gentlemen of blk c, it was a fun nite and day of outsmarting each other with pranks~ the rankings are disputable of cos, any more inputs and comments are welcome. If you think as a victim the prank done unto u was brilliant yet not mentioned above, please feel free to email to www.youaresostupid.blkc.com/victims and submit ur comments.

ps: oh ya, im jason. if its not obvious.hee.

NOISE NOISE NOISE PART 2

My room is facing the other 2 blocks of Sheares Hall. Interestingly, noise level has increased significantly compare to previous weeks. It's not just the sudden loud laughter from our opposite neighbours (level 6 to be precised), but also odd noises. Hmm...As I am typing this, a high pitch witch like laughter just went off. I wonder what is happening. Earlier there were some door banging and grunting noises (i wonder where is that from?0_o?). Observations (for 4 sems) have proved that these noises signify the coming of mugging period. Listen tight people. You'll never know what kind of entertainment you'll get in the middle of the night in Sheares Hall.*wink

NOISE NOISE NOISE

@!#$%^&*(
Me trying to make more noise... :)

Anyway Ham has set a good example of self contradiction...
He/she (*still dunno who is ham) said that 2-3 sentences enuf liao...but look at her...type so long...

Just realized sth...tt there is a lot of things out there tt will bring about realization in ur life without u actually realized that they had happened...
