Easter

This Easter was PERFECT! The weather, the activities, the worship...such sweet times! I did not get the ubiquitous family photo as I left my camera at one of the Easter Egg hunts, but that did not matter one bit! HE IS RISEN! I hope that your Easter was full of blessings!

The Three Musketeers-Grant, David, and Cal... too bad you can't see it in this picture, but I am pretty sure that they all have the same pair of tennis shoes on- by request:)

This table was just too pretty not to capture a picture!

My bff:) Mandy hosted an Easter Egg Hunt at her parents house for a group of the friends from high school. It was great! Thanks, Man!

The parents and kiddos!

I am still not gettin' over sweet Henry's curls and blond hair- and how much it makes him look like his mama, my other bff Ashley! And he is so big too!

Dawson getting an egg-he was that kid that went for as many as he could possibly get:)...he is finally coming down from the sugar!

Take me out to the ball game...

David started baseball this spring. They changed the league this year so that it is only 5 year olds on a team, which is great for learning the game. We have a sweet team and a great coach, though at any given time there will be at least half the dads on the field or in the dugout:). Here are some pictures from our first game. GO Diamondbacks!

First time at bat

Good cut.

First hit...and we're off!

Made it to first base.

Ready for second.
On to third...

Looking to score...

FIRST RUN!!!!!

In the field...not sure what position they called this:)

Shaking hands after the game- David thought this was really cool!

Hanging out with the team- way to go #8!

And you might have wondered what Dawson was doing while all of this was going on...fortunately he had his Johnny at the game to walk around the park with him....
and get a blue snow cone! By far the biggest hit of the day in Dawson's book! I think we are going to love baseball!

OC Spring Program

Well, this is the only year that my two precious boys will be in the same Preschool Program. What a wonderful year it has been for both of them! I LOVED seeing them both in the program, and while Dawson still gets a little bit of stage fright, we did much better this go around. AND my sweet nephew is there too- three little Dawsons on stage at the same time- it doesn't get much cuter than that!!! The theme was nursery rhymes, and I think I almost have learned all of the songs that go in the spring program:)

I was lucky that they were both on the same end of the stage for the finale.

Some of Miss Faye's mice from "Hickory Dickory Dock"- such cuties!

Sweet Dawson Praying with Mr. Russ.

Sweet David Praying with Mr. Russ.

Miss Faye's mice again- don't you love the stage background! SO presh!

Dawson made it back on stage. He is sitting next to one of his partners in crime, Libby (who ironically, her mom, Julie and I were partners in crime here back in the day too:)

Before the stage fright sets in, anticipating the "close your eyes" portion of the song:). See Miss Pat? She knows that she is soon going to have to help sweet mister out.

My awesome nephew Ryan singing the rap version of "Jack and Jill", just after completion of Otter Creek My Preschool to the tune of Rocky Top:). That kid can dance...just wish they had played some cc rider.

Let' the games begin...

Well, David is officially a soccer player. I had held out for a bit longer than most, but he is really having a great time! When we got home from getting our gear, he couldn't wait to try it on- he just looks so old here!
.
What every afternoon looked like until the time change...who do you think is having the most fun? I really can't be sure:)First practice

First Game

Hey- I know that guy on the other team! It was a little confusing to play AGAINST each other:)David and Cal

and just in case you wondered what Dawson was doing...
Yep- when he is not sitting in his Scooby Doo chair yelling "Big kick! Go David!" he'll find a hill and roll down (as seen above) or jumping off bleachers or kicking his own ball next to the field.
We have LOVED soccer, but will probably wait until next fall to play again...stay tuned for spring baseball:).

We LOVE Otter Creek

I love this school. I love that my boys are so blessed to be a part of such a wonderful place. I love that they get so excited about school. I love that I have memories of playing on this very same playground. I love that those memories include my boys' classmates' parents. I love that many of my teachers are still at this school. I love that my nephews are a part of this legacy too. I love that David will be the last Kindergarten class in that sweet white house. I love that Dawson will be the first four year old class in the new building since I was the first four year old class in the "new addition" where they are now. Most of all I love the people that are with my boys everyday and how they are teaching them that they are loved and wonderfully made by God.

Dawson on his very first Snoopy Day...he has been going with me for 2 years taking David and this year he finally got to get out of the car too:)! We didn't get a picture with Miss Julie and Miss Jeannie, but he sure does love them!

David's Snoopy Day...with Miss Faye! He absolutely adores her and he is learning so much this year!

Ubiquitous front porch first day of school picture:)

Dawson's first time to be able to get up front in the line.

Dawson at parent's night with his favorite new friend Kate (his other favorite, Lexi is in his class too, but we didn't get a picture of them that night)

Dawson is 2!

Fell off the blogging wagon, probably because we are having such a busy and fun summer. Main thing I didn't post, my sweet baby turned 2! I cannot adequately express how much joy my children have brought to us, and this sweet little guy just piles it on every day. Dawson is such a smiley little guy, who loves almost everything and everyone. He can be a bit feisty too when he feels strongly about something. Busy doesn't do justice to tell how active he is- he keeps me on my toes to say the least. Fortunately, his big brother helps me keep up with him too and they are so sweet together...most of the time. But as active as he is, he is equally as charming. It is so true what Lee Camp said during his sermon Sunday(paraphrased)...when you have your first child, you are overwhelmed with love for that child, that when you are preparing for the second child, you wonder how you could possibly ever love that much again...then we realize the capacity of love that God has given us and how he can love each of us passionately and personally. Dawson has taught me this exponentially!

We decided to have a family birthday outing to Bob the Builder Live at TPAC-when you have 4 boys, what more could you want? They had as much fun at our house ahead of time playing, but they did enjoy the show a great deal...and honestly they did better than I expected at staying engaged in the program:). The next night we had our group from church over (our regular turn), and called it a birthday celebration. Such great family and friends! Here are a few pics of my baby and his parties:)
