Mini Company Christmas Party

The day after the Christmas shows I hosted a Christmas party for Lexi's company group. We had it at grandma Nancy's house. Most of the team was able to make it. I thought it would be fun for them to have a good time together after all the craziness from the shows. The had fun making Christmas crafts, decorating gingerbread men, having a snowball fight, and eating treats. Lexi is lucky to be a part of such a fun team.

it was impossible to get them to all sit/stand still to take a picture

DC2 A Season to Shine Christmas show

The dance studio the girls go to had a christmas show fundraiser for the Hope Kids. This show is absolutely amazing!! They have it every other year and I just love to watch it. Everyone that came to watch the girls (and me) said it was so good. There is a lot of work that is put into this show and the weekend of the show is totally crazy but when you sit down and watch it, it's all worth it. The girls had a great time. I participated in the moms dance and it was the first time I was ever on stage dancing in front of an audience. I honestly don't know how these girls remember all the dances they are in and don't have stage fright!! I could hardly remember my dance and my heart was racing on stage! Guess it wasn't cut out for me but my girls just absolutely love it and it shows. We had a few friends and family come to watch us which was fun!

Dec. 2015 activities

December was such a fun month. When I look back at all of our pictures I am amazed at how we fit everything in. That's probably why the month seems to fly by!

I went on Hailey's field trip to a children's play. I thought the play was pretty boring but being around the rest of the kids was definitely not!! I don't know how teachers do it!

Hailey's mini knockout team had a stage show at the Chandler light parade

I went to help out in Hailey's class for their Christmas party. I helped with the Christmas tree decorating. I wanted to decorate and eat one myself.

The 4th grade had a singing performance at an assembly which was perfect because Hailey received an award at the assembly so we got to see both girls.
Hailey received an award for Outstanding Achievement in English Language Arts. We were so proud of her!!
I stopped in to see Lexi at her school party. They were working hard on Christmas  crafts

I think this was the first year that I did not make my sugar cookies! The girls were in shock but Lexi wasn't going to be able to eat them and I didn't want Hailey and I to eat them all. Instead I bought some at the store for us to have fun decorating. We made ugly christmas sweaters. It actually was so much fun!

Since my birthday is right before Christmas I decided to just have a girls lunch after the holidays. It was so nice to have some time with my good friends. These girls have been a part of my life for many, many years. I am thankful to have such wonderful lifetime friends.
Lexi went to Jenae's party and the girls got to ride in a "party" van.  They were sooo excited about the van. Makes me nervous for their early 20s!!
Here are some fun mischievous things Pixie did this year. Here she is stretching in the dance room

the girls got Pixie a present for her to bring home with her on Christmas Eve and open and Pixie decided to open it up early

Lexi had her tonsils out over Christmas break. She did so well!! This girl just amazes me at how positive and happy she always is. For almost 2 weeks she couldn't eat regular food and laid on the couch and watched movies. She was almost always smiling and only had 2 times where she had some tears.

Here was Lexi post-op on her phone. The Dr and staff at the surgery center were amazed. The told us multiple times how pleasant and chipper she was. They wanted to take a picture of her and make her the poster child for tonsillectomy.
