Grieving & Recovery

Back in school, I signed up for this class called "Personal Mastery in Managing Change". It's an alternative to the "Psychology" class as most of us can't get allocated a slot. Anyway, point is, in the class, I learnt something which I thought was very useful in life.
Stages of Grieving.
It occurs in 5 stages. The 5 stages can occur in any order and can last for a varying period of time.
  1. Denial
  2. Anger
  3. Bargaining
  4. Depression
  5. Acceptance
So what happens after the 5 stages? Do you completely recover? After acceptance, there seem to a cycle of recovery. After 2 years, I didn't realise that I am still trying to get over it. I googled a little on it and found out that I still have another 4 steps to go:
  1. Numbness
  2. Yearning
  3. Disorganizational and despair
  4. Reorganizational of behaviour
I didn't realise that I wasn't genuinely happy for awhile. And guess what, this time, it totally snapped me awake. I am still on the recovery path. It's really time to move on.....
