Bangkok & Melaka

Ah yes.

I went Bangkok. Went there for a 5 days course on drilling fluids. I was quite bored with Bangkok in the sense, I went there twice before liao. So only shopped around a little, never take photos even. hahaha.... Chatuchak, Platinum Mall, MBK, Siam Paragon, Central World. Leon definitely has a better shopping stamina than me can!!! zzzz..... Stayed at Sol 1 backpacker's hostel for 2 nights. For 350 Baht, a clean bed, access to clean bathroom, near town, near BTS, next to 7-11... my definite recommendation for a stay in the heart of Bangkok. Then moved over to Century Park Hotel for a 5 night stays. I guess, it's just like every other hotel lah...

The highlight of the trip was definitely the trip down to Patpong. =P That red light district. It is a place I would never visit if I was in Thailand alone.... hahaha... OoOpPss!!! Before you label any accuses at me, let me clarify my stand!!!! I went there because my instructor told us NOT to go. Like they say, curiosity kills the cat. =P Only went there for a non-sleazy massage and walked around the Patpong Market. I quite like the atmosphere there though. Very lively nightlife.... something that I would expect of Thailand.

Came home on Friday night & left for Melaka for footies the day after. hehehe...The newcomer to our comm, Peanut, came along as well.

And so 9 of us met at Kovan for that eating spree in Melaka. Stayed at Number Twenty Guesthouse. 90 ringgit for a double room. It was every bit worth the dollar. It's furniture are all Ikea stuff so it's rather modern looking and spacious. It's in the heart of Jonker Street as well. Very nice place!!! This was an eating spree because we had:
- Chicken rice ball, asam fish, veggie after check-in
- Popiah 10 mins later
- Cendol, ice kachang, yong tau foo, asam laksa 10 mins later
- Fruits, crackers 5 mins later

2 hours later, we walked the night market and it started again.
- muah chee
- sweetened fruits
- peannut pancake
- carrot cake
- quails
- lok lok ( satay gravy steamboat)

Next morning, we had....
- Toast at guesthouse
- Dim sum
- Pineapple tarts samples
- Cendol and ice kachang
- A&W

*sigh* that's how I kept myself so full throughout the trip... hahahaha
