Breakfast was eaten at this makeshift store. Nasi lemak...tsk tsk...I quite enjoy the mutton. haha...very very tender. Went back to the chalet, packed up and we waited for the van that was supposed to bring us to the cave. At the point of writing, I have forgotten the name of the cave! hahaha....really sorry lah...
this cave houses a buddha looking sculpture. A monk lives at the temple below the cave. It's a really tranquil place for meditation. Very very authentic in its way. There's 2 caves actually. THe one on the left houses a couple of snakes and monkeys. Nothing much. The right one houses quite a few buddhist sculptures, a lot of bats. It's more well preserved I must say....it's the only cave I have seen all my life whose limestone don't have algae and funny looking things on it....It's really dark. Thus, not much photos...
Subsequently, we are supposed to go to a waterfall called Pantai Waterfall. Damn! It was closed for maintenance! So the van driver drove us to kuantan instead. We had lunch @ Mac. Then waited for our 4pm bus to KL. Then, I was still pondering to go back sg or stay with them for the rest of the trip. *SIGH* YOu see, I have spanish lessons the next day and I really didn't want to miss 2 lessons in a row. Oh well...due to the obscene amount of peer pressure, I made that decision to stay lah. I can't say no to travelling and with qz forever telling me how much fun I will miss....F*** spanish lah...hahaha
The coach ride was good!!! 4 hours ride. Hahaha...it comes with a tv in front. The driver played huo yuan jia on the vcd player. It's quite awkward considering half the bus is made up of malays. *sianz* for most of the ride our dearest qz was making a "yi lu xiang bei" mtv. ahhaha.... We finally reached KL at about 7+ to 8. Really hungry. But first thing first. Accomodation. We actually wanted to go for one that is recommended by lonely planet. Goodness, it looked like shit from the outside. So we decided to give this pamphlet a chance and we went to this place called backpackers travellers inn. It's beside swiss inn at chinatown. Damn good. The reception has AIRCON!!!! hahaha...even better...we got ourselves a dorm with aircon at rm$10 each. It's damn cheap can!?!?! the unfortunate thing is that we have to share the dorm with 2 other strangers. But it's okie lah...eventually, I still made friends with one them. Oh oh...it's a double decker bed!!! First time I sleep at the top...but it's really shaky lah...kns...
after settling down, we went downstairs for claypot rice and ikan bakar (sambal stingray). Walked a bit around chinatown. It was about 1030 when we finally decided to go back to the hostel. The guys stayed at the reception area to watch a movie while jilei and I went up to bathe. I stayed to look after her stuff and that was when I got to know this welsh guy who was sharing the dorm with us. I like his way of life. Travel till he is broke, then go back to wales to work for a year or 2. Then travel again...hahaha....I like the way he leads his life....too bad, I am very asian at heart. I can't leave my parents like that. They deserve better for putting me through school and having to tolerate all my nonsense for the past 22 years...
