Designers: Urania Gazelli

Urania Gazelli is the creative name chosen by Greek designer Urania Giourmetaki for her bags label. The name was inspired by her much beloved late grandmother. With a background as an industrial designer, she has deep understanding of precise, high quality workmanship and aesthetics which is evident in each bag.
After years of working amongst Plexiglass, stainless steel and bronze in her family’s business “Ranol”, Urania wanted to leave her own mark in the fashion industry using the “Savoir-Faire” from her father.
Founded in the spring of 2011 started experimenting with shapes and colors.

Inspired by feminine sense of practicality, her design philosophy meets futurism with classicism. Her plexiglass handcrafted clutch bags are created in her homeland of Greece and are made using fine materials and finished with the brand’s signature brass gold sign plated inside the bag. While her approach is playful and modern, it is always grounded in careful combinations and techniques, giving each piece the feeling of unique, luxury and elegant.

Each bag is hand made with love by Urania building each collection with a mix of colors, shapes and interesting techniques.

Urania Gazelli is distributed in high end and cutting edge boutiques worldwide and has been credited editorially in magazines all over the world.

Redefining the concept of “arm candy” to “clutch candy”, make way for Urania Gazelli.

Designers: ace&jig

I am still in a casual mood, even if my summer vacations are over. As I am searching for my new winter  purchases, I notice that I am searching for soft fabrics and comfortable lines.  It may be just a small reaction that I cannot wear everyday my casual clothes to my work! Or maybe when I finally realise that the summer is over and I return to my usual program, I will also be back to my old everyday glam and fab routine!
I accidentally found this brand. But i feel that it represents me this time around!

Some words about the brand:

Cary Vaughan and Jenna Wilson met as NYC fashion design interns almost ten years ago. Transplants from Virginia Beach and Vancouver respectively, they bonded over their common love of antique textiles.

Cary and Jenna designed for Language NYC in 2001, having their hands in all aspects of the business. In 2004, they launched LaROK together and built the brand into a multi-million dollar venture. However, in 2007 they both left LaROK to refocus their energy on starting their own familes. After Cary gave birth to daughter Alice and Jenna had her son James, they felt the time had come to collaborate again. Thus, ace&jig was born.
