Which one is bigger? The belly or the punkin? :) Just kidding, please dont answer that! How about... which one is cuter???
I have had a great 7th month and am surprised it's already over. My hip is much better than it was a few weeks ago. It got so bad that I was limping and uncomfortable whether I was standing, sitting, or lying down. I shreaked in pain quite often (like every 2 minutes) - so I got Blake and my dad to give me a blessing. From that, I felt prompted to sleep on my back (propped up with 5 pillows behind me and 2 under my legs of course) for a few nights and to take it easy for a few days. I pretty much put myself on bedrest for like a day and a half. Then, voila! The pain is completely gone. I can do the can-can. Seriously, my hip feels completely normal, like it was never hurting! I am so blessed.
Baby has been moving a ton. I can tell a difference in his movements, whether it's a smaller body part or a bigger one. Sometimes I think his bum rolls across my tummy, and other times it seems more like a knee! It's so cool it's almost creepy. I love feeling him move, and so does Blake! It makes us more and more excited.
BABY SHOWER!!!A few sweet and tender people threw me the Baby Shower of a lifetime - Valerie Overmyer, Stacey Hissong, Sharalee Nabrotzky, and Nath Harris. It was beautiful, at my mom's house, and covered in toole, twinkle lights, and a smorgasbord of food! I got many many needed items for our little Baby Dude. One of the exciting gifts was an incredible diaper bag made by Regina Smithson's fashion purse company, Silver Plum. I love it and will enjoy it!
Bye-bye Superior, for now.
I will truly miss my job at Superior Construction. For the entire month of September, I felt overwhelmed by the thought of working until I went into labor. I got too stressed and was going through some severe mood swings. So, I suggested to Superior a replacement for me - Sarah Most! She is amazing. For the whole month of October, I trained her. We had a blast, she kept me motivated, and she's so prepared for the job.
The guys at Superior will always hold a special place in my heart. Below is my boss Dave, Dan, my boss Steve, Sarah, Blakey, me, my mom, my dad, Lane, Jon, and Joe. Missing are Matt and Chris. I will miss seeing all these fun people so often. I promised them that they could never get rid of me, though. I will sub for Sarah whenever she needs a vacation!
Sarah and I are great buds now. I had a fun time talking her ear off the whole month of October. She gave me the girl bonding time I have needed. I am so excited to have a new close friend!
What's new with the 'mo?
Well, Cozmo continues to be a great source of companionship and laughter in the Haines home. We love him, despite his shedding issues. :) He's such a cuddle bug!!
Cozmo loves being wherever we are, and/or comfortable, and/or eating. The other night, Cozmo got the serious hookup with this plethora of pillows & blankets. He nuzzled his way in and slept for hours. He was in heaven!
When one of us are at home without the other, we are never alone. There is always Cozmo. Sometimes we expect him to speak to us! He's such a personality. The new thing he has going on now is his pillow in the kitchen. He has always had a bed in there, but it's not comfy at all compared to his new bed - a soft, cushy pillow. If he's not near us, we KNOW where he is - on his pillow. This is unique because before he discovered his pillow, he was always at our feet. ALWAYS. Now, sometimes he goes to his pillow. He says, "You people bore me. I'm going to my comfy place now."
