Two things

First of all, I know that everyone thinks that I'm just a poor blogger and that's why the blog hasn't been updated in two or so weeks. This is clearly very true. However, I also have a legitimate, if somewhat pretextual, reason for failing to update more frequently. That reason is this, that my life is incredibly mundane. I know this is hard to believe coming from someone who has snipered and been pepper-sprayed in the same recent three-month period, but it's nevertheless, and sadly, true. The most exciting thing that has happened at work recently is that some of the crazy and semi-crazy people in mental health court say some pretty funny things. But I've mostly been having a desk job the past little while since all of our jury trials end up getting cancelled. This is fine since jury trials are a big production for me, but it leaves me with no good stories for you, the expectant reader.

Although...I did just think of a little gem of an incident that happened a couple weeks ago, and while I told some of the people in my life about it in face-to-face conversation (so outdated, I know), I didn't post about it, which is really a shame. So here you go. One of the really great (notice the sarcasm) parts of my job is that I periodically have to search female inmates that are going into custody from the court. The week of T-Give, I had to search a woman who the judge had just sentenced to 120 days in the county jail. She's what the deputies like to call a 'frequent flyer' with the jail as well as the courthouse, so I've seen her many times before. She was being very cooperative (or so I thought) while I was searching her and asking if I needed her to take off her jacket and stuff like that. One of the things that we have to do when searching is feel the underneath of the bra to make sure that they don't have any weapons hid in there. This is accomplished mostly by just running the back of your hand down the middle--which, incidentally, can be uncomfortable for both parties if the woman is at all busty--and then across the bottom. That's the reason they have us female bailiffs do it, so that the inmates can raise any claims of being taken advantage of or anything like that.

Anyway, I was about to do the bra part of the search when the woman asked me if I needed to do something to her bra and she used what I presume was some jail terminology for a more invasive bra search. I said no and told her that I just needed to make sure there was nothing in her bra. I did the search as described above and didn't find anything, so then I went back upstairs since the search was complete. Turns out, a little while later, they saw one of the other inmates reaching down this woman's bra on camera, obviously trying to get something out. Apparently she had been concealing some sleeping pills in a hidden inner pocket in her bra, and she shared it with the other inmates. Isn't that thoughtful? Anyway, I didn't even find out until later that afternoon when one of the regular deputies said, "By the way, that female that you searched earlier had some pills hidden in her bra," as if I should have found something in a hidden inner pocket in her bra. Seriously? I'm not groping women when I search them. But one of the other deputies consoled me by saying that there was nothing that I could have done about it and that I'm only searching for weapons anyway. As a bonus for both of us, she's probably going to be charged with possession in a jail, which is really stupid for her since she was originally only going to have to be in there for 120 days. So dumb. But that's probably the most exciting thing that has gone on lately, and that was before T-Give. Further proof of how boring my work life has been the past few weeks.

Second thing, how is it already a week before Christmas? We got a cute little real tree the first week of December and got it decorated, and now all of a sudden, Christmas is a week from tomorrow! What the heck! Although I've got to say, I realized the other day that this is the first December of my adult life that I haven't had finals. How great is that? Seriously, I have had finals in December for the past 7 years of my life. So Merry Christmas to me, huh? Anyway, I hope that everyone has a fabulous Christmas this year with family and friends and safe travel to wherever you are going. I know that we are going to miss seeing Blair's family this year and Nicole and Dan, but hopefully we'll get to see them soon. We're excited to spend Christmas in Fool Creek, and we might even get in some hooding. Blair was first introduced to this great wintertime event two years ago at Christmas, and we haven't been able to go since, so we're hoping for a good snowfall around Christmas for prime hooding conditions. If we go, I'll try and get Brenda to take some pictures like she did the last time so that you can see the childlike glee that hooding brings to those of all ages. Until then, Merry Christmas!

Happy Belated T-Give!

So I really meant to do a post last week of all the things that I am really thankful for since there are so so many, but obviously I did not get around to it. We had a great T-Give, which is what we call thanksgiving in our fam, and now that all the excitement is over, I have time to do a little gratitude post.
Ok, first and foremost, I am so grateful for Blair. I know, or I hope at least, that every wife thinks her husband is the best, but Blair is pretty great. He keeps me sane through all of my self-induced or otherwise-created insanity, and he makes me laugh every day of my life, literally. Even when he is ill or stressed or something, he is really positive and always keeps a great sense of humor. I'm so glad that he married me and that he's been part of my life for the past 5 years!

Second
, I'm really grateful for my family and Blair's family. We had a great time hanging out with all of them over T-Give, in Fool Creek and in St. George. My sisters are my best friends with whom I love spending time, and my brothers are great guys that I look up to in a lot of ways. And my parents, what can I even say about them besides, how great are they? They are pretty great. They are so willing to help any of their kids at a moment's notice and would give anything for them. And all of my in-laws are great people too--Blair's family as well as Brenda, Brooke, Darci, and Dan. I have been very blessed with a great family and extended family.

Third,
I'm grateful for good friends. I love spending time with great ladies like Liz and Candice, and I miss hanging out with ladies like Lynn and Amy. And their spouses are all pretty great, too--it's nice to find couples where both Blair and I like both of them. I work with girls that I love hanging out with, and guys that make me laugh a lot. It's so nice to be able to hang out with people who share the same standards that we do and that are so much fun!

Fourth--and this should have come first, really--I'm so so thankful for the gospel of Jesus Christ and the knowledge that I have of it. I know that I'm rarely serious in my posts, but I was struck by the enormity of this blessing when I was thinking of the things for which I am grateful the other day. It's so great that T-Give comes right before Christmas, because it gets me thinking of my blessings, the foremost of which is my knowledge of Jesus Christ and his Atonement. I'm hoping that I can do a better job this year of remembering the Savior and the Atonement this year at Christmas. One of my favorite quotes is from President Howard W. Hunter: "We must know Christ better than we know him; we must remember him more often than we remember him; we must serve him more valiantly than we serve him."

Lastly, I'm so thankful for all of the material blessings that we have--our nice new home, plenty (most of the time too much) of food to eat, cars that work, computers on which we can access the internet, good jobs, the list goes on and on.

So I know that was a little more serious than I usually am, but I have been feeling the need lately to let people know how much I appreciate them. I really do have great family and friends, and I appreciate all of you, so thanks a lot for all you do. I hope everyone else had as good of a time for T-Give as we did. In other news, we have a couple really ridiculous trials scheduled the next three weeks, so I'll have to give everyone an update of how they go. I'm really hoping that they will settle, but they probably won't just because they're so lame. I'll even give you a sneak peek: this week is a felony shoplifting case where the defendant is probably 75 there is an admission by the defendant and video footage; next week is tampering with a witness where the defendant told the witness that something "really, really bad" was going to happen to him; and the week after that is the old dude defendant from this week in another shoplifting case. So you'll probably all be on the edge of your blogosphere seat wondering what is going to happen in these cases. Fear not, because I will keep you updated on all the excitement.

FYI

A few people have asked for pics of the new house. Just so you know, I did it kind of backwards and posted pictures before I did this last semi-lame post. So if you want to see the pics, just scroll down a little more, the post that's titled "I'm still alive." And I'll post again later this week since we're having tons of fun in court this week. Mental health court, a contested adoption, and bail hearings. Good times!

Sorry so sorry

Ok, so apparently Amy was also perturbed at my lack of posting, along with Aimee and Nicole. Perhaps there are others of you who were just less vocal about it. So I apologize for being a derelict (this is one of Blair's favorite words, so I thought I would use it) in my posting responsibilities. Now that we have the internet again and are not planning on moving again anytime in the next ten years, I will definitely keep the blog updated. I will even make up great stories about court if I have to since our lives aren't that exciting. I have to say, while I'm thinking about it, I really love being able to keep up on everyone's lives in the blogging world. It's so great to be able to check up on people that you haven't talked to for a while and see what they're doing. So thanks to everyone else who does a better job than I do at keeping their blogs updated so that we can see everyone's cute kids and fun lives. Thanks!
Besides moving and trying to get everything in our house in order, we haven't been doing much. Just regular work and regular life. Although, we've carpooled to work a few times since we moved to the Fork, and I've gotta say, it's really fun. Turns out, I really like Blair a lot. He makes my life so great! Not only does he make me laugh every day, but he does a lot of stuff around the house like folding laundry and doing the dishes. And he's really cute with kids, which makes me so excited for when we finally have some. So things have just been pretty normal with us, Blair being great and making me laugh all the time.

I'm still alive

Not only is the title of this post a shout-out to Eddie Vedder, but I also wanted to let Nicole and Aimee that I am finally putting up a new post since they've both been haranguing me about not posting for the past couple weeks. Guys, just so you know, we haven't really had internet until last weekend. Ok, so we've technically had it, but only if I hook up to the modem with my 5 foot long ethernet cable and sit outside the laundry room door in the hallway. And we've just been getting everything organized. So I figured now that we're mostly organized (one room is still a disaster, but that's definitely better than all), I can sit down for an enjoyable evening on the couch and update our blog while listening to some Eddie Vedder and probably Angels and Airwaves (love them!).
So in case you hadn't heard, we moved into a brand new townhouse! Yay! Now not only have we joined the ranks of homeowners, but we have also joined the ranks of Spanish Forkians. Even more exciting. We were pretty pleased to figure out last weekend that the drive to FC is now only one hour! What could be better? And I have to give a huge huge huge THANK YOU to our fam and friends. THANK YOU!! They are pretty much the best for helping us move a couple weeks ago. I had planned on getting some pictures to memorialize such a big day in our lives, but let's be honest, we didn't have time for that. But my mom and dad, Aimee, Dallas, Ian, Brenda, and our friends Scott, Ryan, Seth, and Brandon all helped us get packed up and loaded the morning of, as well as helping us throughout the week. And how awesome is Dylan? I can tell you, he is pretty awesome. He did an amazing job painting our whole place for us, and we appreciate it a ton. And Aimee was pretty much our personal assistant that week, helping with packing, moving, buying dinner, and basically anything we needed. We also had some great help prepping everything for Dylan to paint--Bryce, Scott, Ryan, Bethany, and Aimee. Thanks to them! We were pulling some pretty late nights here with Dylan that week of painting, and we totally appreciate everything that he did, and we're glad that Darci let us take up so much of his time. After all that, we are almost done getting everything where it goes two weeks later.
Ok, Nicole has been asking for pics, so I walked around and snapped some pictures of the parts of our home that are amenable to picture-taking at this point. We have a three bedroom, two and half bath, but I didn't take any pictures of the third bedroom because it still looks like a bomb went off. But I took plenty of other pictures, so don't dismay.
This is the inside of our front door. It was too dark to take pictures of the outside when I got around to actually taking pictures, so those will have to come later. But this is what I would see when I'm about to open the door to let you in. Then I'll show you around the house.
This is the first view you would have of the living room when you come in. Don't mind the ugly green couch--we are going to get a couch cover for it in the next few weeks, probably something a little more neutral, like brown.
Then this is the view of the living room area. Thanks to Blair Sr and Dena for a bunch of awesome furniture, like the red couch and the TV armoire that is coming up in the next couple pictures.
I talked Blair into doing roman shades instead of blinds in the living room and our bedroom. Let me know what you think. I really like how they look, a little more modern, different--totally my style. Obviously we are going to get curtains someday, but I will probably have to make them because the three windows put together are pretty wide. Anyway, here is the kitchen. We really liked how the kitchen and living room area were one big room.
Here is a better picture of the red wall in our kitchen and our cabinets. The original design for our kitchen was to just have the cabinets directly on either side of the stove, so we had them add the five more on both the top and the bottom, as well as the counter top. I mean, seriously, who designs a kitchen with four cabinets? It's not like these are being marketed to the college crowd. I think they must have been designed by some dude who doesn't cook. I'm so so glad that we added the rest of the cabinets because I think that it makes the kitchen look bigger, and we have enough room for all of our stuff. We realized when we were moving that we have far too many appliances.
This is the door area of the kitchen. The door on the far right is our pantry--how nice is that! In our apartment, we had food in the extra little bedroom, on the stove, on the counter. But now most of it fits in our pantry--I love it. The door straight ahead is the garage door. And can I just say, I love having a garage and will love it even more when it starts snowing on a continual basis. There are doors on both sides of the wall leading to the garage door--the one on the left goes to the unfinished basement and the one on the right goes to the 'powder room,' which is just the mini bathroom.
I had to put a picture of it because the sink is so cute, and because we did the wall around the mirror the same red as the kitchen wall. It's seriously the smallest bathroom in the world, but it's so nice to have a bathroom right off the kitchen, as well as two more upstairs.
This is the arch in the living room where the TV armoire goes. It is straight across from the red couch, and we liked the look of it when we first walked through the model. We like it even more now that we have a nice armoire to put in it.
This is the top of the stairs to go upstairs. The stairs are directly to your left when you walk in the front door. They are extra wide, which I'm sure was handy for moving our stuff in, but I can't really say since I was cleaning our apartment when they were moving everything in. So great to have movers!
This is the closet that is directly at the top of the stairs. If you can't tell from the picture, it is gigantic! We have a ton of stuff in there, and it still has more room.
This is the hallway upstairs. The master bedroom is directly behind. The door straight ahead is the guest bedroom, and the door to the left of that is our office. The door on the right in the laundry room, and then there is a guest bathroom across from that on the left.
This is our laundry room with our sweet new appliances that we got for a sweet deal on KSL.
This is the guest bathroom. Just as a sidenote, Blair picked out the decor on both bathrooms. He probably doesn't want me to put that on here, but I thought he did a great job! You can't really tell, but the rugs are dark brown.
This is our office. I think people either hate the paint color or really like it. I obviously really like it since I'm the one who picked it out. I wanted to do one room a fun color since I live here and whatnot, so I picked an orange. I wanted it to be a little more yellow-ish and not quite so orange, but I really like how it turned out. When Dylan was getting ready to spray, he said that it looked like the color of nacho cheese, and we both laughed. But then when he was spraying it, it was so orange! He sprayed the wall with the windows and said, "Wow, this is really orange! Are you sure this is what you want?" And I did, so he sprayed the rest of it. It doesn't look quite so crazy now that we have furniture in there, and I really like it.
Here is our master bedroom. When we're giving people a real tour, we save the master bed and bath for last because they are one of the main reasons we got this floor plan. We painted one of the walls red, and the roman shades that we got at Target just happened to match perfectly! What are the odds?
Here is a view of the red wall. Blair says that since we have so much red in our house now, he gets to put BYU paraphernalia around, but I keep trying to tell him that it not necessarily Ute red, just a non-partisan crimson.
The room makes our bed look tiny since it is so huge. Maybe it won't look so childish when we get a king size bed in the next little while, but we'll see. This is the reading corner, which I haven't used yet, but I anticipate really enjoying it.
This is our bathroom. I really like the shower curtain and rugs that Blair picked out. They go great with the paint colors in our bedroom, so there is a nice continuity. The linen closet to the left of the shower is nice and big, so it has room for all of our toiletries and linens.
This is a good shot of the toilet. Dallas really liked how there is a little stall.
Here is our double vanity. That was one of the upgrades that we did, and it is so nice. No more waiting for the other person to spit out their toothpaste.
This is half of the gigantic closet. This is Blair's side.
This is my side of the closet, along with our two dressers, sponsored by Blair Sr and Dena. Another thanks for that.
So there you go. There's a virtual tour of our new home. We totally love it. It is so nice to have a place for everything--even though everything is not yet in its place. And how great is Blair because let's be honest, I haven't been exactly pleasant to deal with and live with the past couple weeks while we're moving and trying to pick stuff out. But we made it through unscathed, and now we're so excited to be in our new place. Hopefully this is a long enough post to placate Aimee and Nicole, since they are probably the main ones who read our blog anyway, but it's also for the rest of you so that you can share in our excitement.

A few of my favorite things

And they're not gay stuff like whiskers on kittens. Who thought of that, anyway, Julie Andrews herself? No, I'm talking about things that I actually love about this time of year. I really love all sorts of recipes with pumpkin, for instance. Some of my favorites are pumpkin oatmeal cookies, pumpkin cake with cream cheese frosting, and a savory pumpkin soup. And don't say ew, like Aimee kept doing last weekend when I saw a new recipe for it because it's really good. I also love the cold weather and storminess because that means soup season. I love throwing together a great soup on a cold gray day, like creamy potato soup with cheese and dill, tomato basil soup, mexican tortilla soup, white chicken chili, minestrone or a cheesy broccoli. I'm thinking that a creamy potato soup with cornbread is sounding especially good today since the high is supposed to be about 40 degrees.
I also really like running outside when it's cold, but only if I have adequate running gear, like tights and decent socks. I love feeling the cold on my face and ears and letting off steam. And then taking a nice hot shower afterward to try and get warm and thaw out the icy flesh. And how about the way that the leaves smell at this time of year when they're changing color and falling? I totally love it. It's really indescribable, but if you go hiking or around changing leaves in the fall, you know the smell that I'm talking about. The beauty of all the reds, yellows, and oranges is pretty great too.
Also conference, jackets, sweaters, scarves, baseball playoffs, college football. I've gotta say, the combination of all these great things makes fall my favorite time of the year. What could be better?

Really?

We haven't had anything really great this week because the judge has been out so we only had court yesterday. However, I'm working on a case where I have been talking to myself out loud in my office because it's so ridiculous. Mostly stuff like, "What? Are you kidding me? Really?" It was a medical malpractice case against a certain local hospital, which already makes it great, because if you've heard anything about my ruptured appendix incident from a couple years ago, you know that there is a certain local hospital with which I'm not too impressed. Anyway, it went to trial and the plaintiffs lost. Turns out, it's really hard to prove that the doctor's mistake was the cause of your problems--the judge told me that he has never seen a verdict returned in favor of the plaintiffs in a med mal case. So there's a rule that says you can get your costs if you have to defend against a case and it goes to trial. However, the case law is pretty specific about what you can claim as costs, like deposition costs, witness fees of $20 a day, and stuff like that. But instead of actually looking at the rule and reading the case law, the attorneys for the hospital just threw in every ridiculous fee they could think of. My personal favorite, trying to charge the plaintiffs $40,000--yep, that's forty grand, folks--for a 'jury consultant.' Really? Really? That just deserves two reallys in a row because it's so freakin ridiculous. I can't even say anything to that because it's so absurd. Really? Forty grand? And how about this, travel costs for their trial team amounting to almost four grand. Keep in mind that the trial was 8 days, and the 'trial team' was coming from Salt Lake and not a different state. Nor were they staying in a hotel in Provo every night or anything like that. I mean, I realize that gas was pretty expensive in July, but what were they driving every day, a Hummer? A lear jet? Really? And how about the fact that there is a rule saying that you can't even get travel costs unless you are more than 50 miles away from the court. Really? Last time I checked, Salt Lake is not more than 50 miles from the UC. And by the way, smart attorneys, the amount you can recover on travel costs is capped. How about reading the rules before submitting a completely asinine motion with the court. Really? Why would you read the rules? Who does that? Really?! Turns out, it makes you sound like a complete ass when you submit something that has no basis in law. Weird, I know.

Really? Part 1

I decided that I'm going to start a new post segment called "Really?" modeled after the segment of the same name on SNL with Amy Poehler and Seth Meyers. It won't be quite as funny, but I thought it would be a good way to document the stupidity and/or injustice that I am witnessing firsthand in my job. Turns out there is a lot. So this is the first segment of it.

Today we had two debt collection cases. It took me back to the days of mediating in small claims court because both of the cases were for less than $1000. Really? Yep, not kidding. When I sat down to listen to the first one, I thought that it was going to be over at least a few grand because would it really be worth someone's time to come to court over less than $500 bucks? Really? Turns out the plaintiff thought it was. They were both daycare cases. Turns out you should read the contract that you sign with someone, even if they tell you it is 'just a formality.' The woman in the first case was being taken to court for $400 and something, and the woman in the second case was being taken to court for $280. The thing that really got me was that in both cases, the women had admitted to owing the main amounts but because they were not willing to pay them up front, they got slapped with the collection company's fee, the attorney's fee and the court costs. In the second case, the lady ended up with a judgment against her of approximately $1200! Really? Just pay what you owe! She said something in her testimony about acknowledging early on that she owed at least $220. So she essentially went to court over $60 bucks and ended up paying almost 4 times more than what she would have if she had paid her bill. I was thinking, "Man! Her credit is going to be screwed for 8 years over $60 bucks!" Turns out that not knowing what your contract says or thinking it's not fair are not legal defenses. So next time you're tempted to (a) not read a contract before simply signing it because "it's a formality," (b) refuse to pay a bill that you really owe because they slapped on some fees that they are allowed to add since you didn't pay it the first time around, or (c) go to court over $60 bucks, think to yourself, "Really? Is this really a good idea?" Turns out it's not. Really.

SWAT here I come!

We went shooting the other day for work for about 4 hours. I was freezing, but it was pretty fun. We shot a machine gun type gun first and I couldn't hit anything so I thought it was going to be a pretty long afternoon. Then I got serious and put on a backwards hat since the wind was blowing a hundred miles an hour. I showed Blair the pictures that night and he said that I look like a dude. Ok, so I kind of do, but that's probably alright since I'm around criminals a large percentage of the time when I'm wearing my uniform.
I was a little hesitant about laying down on the rocks because I didn't want to get my uniform pants dirty--because that would mean that I would have to wash them, which I don't like to do more than I have to. I thought about just holding myself in a low push-up position while shooting, but I thought that I better just lay on the ground to get the full experience (and I knew that I couldn't hold myself up like that longer than 30 seconds or so). This is me trying to find the dang target in the scope. No one ever told me how hard it is to even see through a scope until Bob did that day (that's Bob in the background--he's pretty great). I had to keep moving forward and back awkwardly to be able to see through it without the whole thing going black. He had to find the target for me a couple times because I couldn't find it since the scope was zoomed in so much.

I think this is one of the times that he had to find the target for me, maybe on the 400 or 500 yarder. I had to try twice before I hit the 300 yard target, but then I hit both the 400 and the 500 yard targets on the first try, which is really amazing for me since I am not a good shot and the wind was blowing pretty fierce. But it was way fun, and a good ego boost.
Now I can be a total bad-A in court when I deal with the criminal element since I have been pepper sprayed in the face and I can hit a target from 500 yards away. Too bad the shooting experience won't help me very much, though, since I can't hit much from 20 yards. Oh well, I guess it's a good thing that I don't carry a gun in the courtroom.

How cute are we?

So we decided to take some pictures a few weekends ago since, like I said, it has been exactly 5 years since we took our engagement pictures. Dallas took the pictures for us, and they turned out pretty cute. I can't believe how green Fool Creek still was when we took these. So pretty!
This is the exact pose and place that we did on the front of our wedding announcement, except we both had longer hair.
This one (below) is the number one candidate for our 2008 Christmas card. I love everything about it, except the sprinkler blowing into Blair's ear.
Dallas thought it would look good to take one in front of the tack shed since it's rustic and all, but apparently I forgot to suck it in for this picture and we both didn't really smile.
And check out these awesome sunset pics I got. I was trying to be artistic by getting the dark silhouettes of leaves framing it.

What a Stud!

Here they are, my two favorite guys. Blair volunteered to help my dad build a haystack a couple weeks ago right before we headed back up.

I also got a few good action shots of Blair chucking the hay bales from the trailer to the stack. He was getting some good clean and jerk action going on. Impressive!

I had to get a bum shot, just because I thought it was funny...

The finished product. I think we counted 83 bales or so, and it took them probably a half hour or so.
Sweaty and covered with hay. Ultra itchy, tons of fun! Gotta love that smile. Turns out I got my country boy after all--I just had to mold him a little bit.

Finally!

Ok, first I just have to say that it was so fun that Blair did a post. Is he not great or what? He is, that's just a rhetorical question, FYI. I've been meaning to do a post, like always, but I've been a huge slacker in most areas of my life lately, so it logically carried over to the blogosphere. I need to post some great pictures that I took of Blair building a haystack (no kidding!) and some pics from Dylan's wedding. We, or Dallas, actually, took some pretty great pictures down in Fool Creek a couple weekends ago because I thought it would be fun to take pictures in my parents' back yard since it was 5 years ago this time of year when we took our engagement pictures. Weird! So I will also post those. I thought I should also appease Aimee since she's probably the main person who reads our blog and she put me at the top of her list of people who should do a post about 7 things. I'm pretty sure she knows most of these about me since we hang out fairly regularly, but nonetheless...

7 Things I plan to do before I die:
1. Have a child with Blair
2. Read all the books on my list of books to read
3. Go to Africa
4. Do a half marathon--I'm not as ambitious as Aimee
5. Turn into a nicer person--if this could happen magically that would be really nice
6. Pay off my student loans
7. Develop some creative talent in some type of artistic pursuit

7 Things I can do:
1 Draw some pretty good stick figures
2 Waste a substantial amount of time without realizing it
3 Name the lead singers of a fair number of bands
4 Withstand pepper spray in the face, but just barely
5 Appreciate some good poetry
6 Make Blair laugh
7 Act like a kid fairly easily

7 Things I cannot do:
uno- Keep my house as clean as I want
dos- Handle stupid people
tres- Grow my hair out and have it look good
quatro- Be consistent
cinco- Wait to move into a new house!
seis - Whistle a tune (I can whistle a little, just not a tune)
siete- Resist buying cute clothes and/or deco stuff at Target

7 Things that attract me to the opposite sex:

Good-bye Summer 2008

Hope you like the playlists that I came up with. I rarely find time to post anything, so I guess 10 pm on a Wednesday night is the best time. I want to start off by letting everyone know that I didn't force Sara to get peppered in the face with mace. Second, she may be one of the toughest chicks I know after having gone through all the crazy stuff required for her job in the last few months. I am way proud of her. Plus, who would have thought that 10 years ago this girl would have done all this cop crap!!! There have been plenty of activities that will help us remember this summer. Zions National Park, good times down in Fool Creek, a few fun runs in the area, a hike or two, softball, and the periodic rodeo. Mostly just relaxing with Sara, now that she has been done with school, has been the highlight of my summer. We have had an enjoyable summer with no complaints. We hope your summer has been great as well.
