We went to the Adult and Teen Challenge annual Christmas concert featuring Jason Gray. Grandma and grandpa and the whole Brislin clan were there too. After we celebrated Jonathan and Bennett's (and Michelle's sister's) bday.

Probably my favorite place in the twin cities to visit. The Como Flower show had some unique poinsettias this year. Love the fern room. And, we even saw the sloth move. Polar bears were hiding somewhere, but Ivy was able to see the wolves!

The Countdown begins - Days 1-4

This year is off to a full start.

Day 1 - Snowball a Neighbor

We started a neighborhood snowball fight by secretly delivering a small bag of goodies to a neighbor. Hopefully they will "hit" someone else. We'll see if it comes all the way back to us.

Day 2 - Put up the Tree

We didn't get to this until Monday because Sam was stuck in Grand Forks on Sunday with a broken car (wheel joint). He was there for the weekend helping his mom move back from the lake and helping his grandma settle in her new assisted living center. Oh, and two days later, the tree is up, but not decorated.

Day 3 - Make Birthday Cupcakes for Jesus

Yum!

Day 4 - Color Pictures for Children in the Hospital

A Teenager!

Wow, we have a teenager in the house. How in the world did that happen?
I didn't think I was emotional about this, but typing those words and looking at some of these pictures over the years brought a lump to my throat and tears to my eyes. (always the emotional one).

Happy Birthday to the best 13-year-old.
Love you much,
Mama

Double Digits!

Wow, 10 years old already!

Never a fan of "lasts" he was a little sad last night for his last night as a nine year old. But, he woke up happy as can be today. We kicked the day off with donuts. Later we'll be going bowling with his friends and back here for dinner, cake and a camp-out.

Thanks Ezra for 10 years of joy, optimism, creativity and so much more. Love you much!
