So today is Easter. What a wonderful day, for several reasons. 1- Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior rose from the dead and broke the bonds of death so that all of us might be able to beat death. 2- It is our second Easter as a family and Caleb's first Easter. 3- Since it is Sunday it is a free day on my diet plan so now I can eat most of all of the candy that I dare to eat without getting sick. Which in fact is not a lot because I already feel sick. It still tastes great though.
Lets see, lets talk about our diet thing. Thursday we had our monthly wiegh-in. I lost 9 lbs and am now at 199 lbs. I lost 3% body fat and and now at 18%. I also lost a half inch around my waist and am at 38 1/2 inches. Carolyn lost 2 lbs, 1% body fat, and the waist is the same. With these numbers we get to continue on with the FIT diet program. We get to start all over with the cleanse phase and work into the normal phase again. This time around I would like to work on my body fat percentage. I would like to loose more of that than weight. We shall see how it works out.
So Caleb had a very awesome Easter holiday. He had two egg hunts to start out with. I will get some pics on here later. He did pretty good at finding them. On one of the hunts he use a dog nose to find some of the eggs. On the other hunt he hired out someone to actually do the hunt for him while he had his afternoon nap. He is getting so smart at these things. He is going to go far. As for Carolyn and I we both received gifts from the Easter Bunny. She received a Willow Tree decoration and I received the second season dvd set of Star Wars: The Clone Wars the animated tv series. All in all it was a great day.
The only bad thing about this weekend started on Friday night. Carolyn and I took a bike ride to the Loveridge's house and back. As we were getting the bikes ready I noticed that I was not wearing my wedding ring. I looked all around me and in the tool set that I was using to find it, but to no avail. I looked in my truck to see if it fell of on my way home from work. Nope. Ok so it has got to be at work somewhere. I know that I was wearing it at the AF site. But that is the only spot. Hopefully it fell into one of my gloves. So we decided to look for it tomorrow morning. Carolyn would go donate plasma and I would go look for it. When I got to the office buildings in Provo (cause that is where my gloves were) I checked the drawers and cubicle where my gloves were. Nothing. I checked one of the trucks that I rode in on Friday. Nothing. I then decided to check by some of the trees that I was working around, starting with the last one and going to the first. No sign of my ring by any of them except for the very first one that I worked on for the day. It was there in the grass, nice and snug like a bug in a rug. Phew! that was close one. I would have felt terribe if I had lost it.
Well that is all for now. I'll get those pics up this week hopefully. Talk to you next time.

Spring Parties
So it has been a while since I posted any pictures so here you go...
Let me explain. So our ward had a easter party this past Saturday. There was an easter egg hunt, cinnamon rolls and bottle rockets. We decorated our rocket like so. The one on the left is the before shot and the one on the right is the after shot. There was a trail of fur leading up to where he landed. He stayed mostly intact but I dont think that there is going to be an Easter Bunny this year. Sorry kids. :(
Caleb and Ginger are getting along just great. Ginger is Caleb's new toy. We are so proud of Ginger but kind of offset about this, but Ginger shares her toys with Caleb. Yep that means chewed up ropes, balls and other things that go into her mouth. But when Ginger gets out of control this is what we have to do to her...
She doesn't stay there long, meaning we don't tie it up too tight cause we don't want to hurt her. She still is a good dog for us and for Caleb.
Caleb loves this new toy. It was kindly donated to us by Jaynalee before he was born and has been in the garage till now. We remembered we had it and got it out for him. He could stay in it for hours playing with it.
Caleb is able to play peek-a-boo with us. He was able to cover himself with a blanket and take it off. It was really cute watching him interact with us as we played. He can also clap his hands and sort of wave hello or goodbye.
As for our FIT program, weigh-ins are this week. We think that we will reach one of the necessary goals to be able to continue on with it. Though I had an experience yesterday that makes me think twice. I was getting out of the car and the springs creaked and the car lifted up about five inches. I know I have lost some weight, enough so that my suit pants are too big for me now. I will have to go get them adjusted soon. Carolyn can also slip into some pants without unbuttoning them. It truly is working.
We are so excited for our recent purchase. We got me a bike and Caleb a trailer. Now we can go on bike rides whenever and wherever we want. Well I guess we can't go mountain biking. We took it out for the first time yesterday and it was so much fun. Ginger was the only one who had to run the entire time. Which I am sure she just enjoyed. We will be doing this a lot more from now on.

Look what happened to us
Boy these past few days have been dark, stormy and normal for a Utah winter into spring transition. But like the saying goes, "April showers brings May flowers". Though a third of the flowers are up already, most will come up in beauty and splendor because of all the storms that have passed by. Isn't it that way with life? Beauty and good times are around us today. Though the storms of life can still come, and will come with all their fury and bitter coldness, in the end the blessings of those storms will bring even more beauty and even more better times than what we have now. Thank goodness we have storms in our lives.
So the events of the past week are few but significant in that they meet certain milestones. "I will tell you a tale, you lad, a whale of a tale or two. 'Bout the the laughs I've had the the gal I love while we walked at night with the moon above. It's a small whale of a tale but it's true, I swear by my tat... um don't have one of those...I swear by my kung fu."
Caleb has got some new teeth! Unless you already knew this, Caleb has had his two bottom front teeth pop through his gums this week. He is growing so fast. I was looking through some old pictures of him today and he definitely does not look like his younger self. That is not a bad thing either. He gets cuter every week and is learning so much every day too. Carolyn and I have said that isn't it a miracle that we were able to create something so intelegent. It is simply amazing.
So my father had a birthday last week. I won't tell you that he turned 55 this year so you can just go ask him how many years he has behind him. We had a great party and he received many gifts that had a theme to it all. One word "GUNS". He received them by mail, by hand or even by a tan coat pocket. All that I can say is that he uses them all wisely and effectively to their full potential. Happy Birthday Daddy. May all of the years ahead be just as many as the ones behind, and may they be just as fruitful and blissfull.
Carolyn will be starting her finals next week and will take her final tests this week. Lots of studying will be going on from now on. Wish her luck.
Ginger and I don't have anything new in our lives. We just try to stay fit and active so that we can be healthy and energized for each day. We do have our slip-ups though and we have to work really hard to get back to where we were. Last night was one of those times. I ran two miles in 15 minutes, up and down the stairs for 15 minutes (one, two, or three at a time) and then 60 crunches and 30 push-ups, and Ginger watched. Boy were we pooped at the end of that time. You would think that we would learn a lesson.
So that is all from my corner, How about your corner?

A Glorious start to April
"It's the most wonderful time of the year!" Wait a minute I am getting confused. Even though it is snowing I still feel great about it. Is it because of the feeling of Christmas is back? Is it the fact that we just had another awesome General Conference? Is it the fact that spring is here, and the gloomy days of winter are behind us? Or am I just crazy? Everyone in my family could say yes to all of these. So the answer to this mystery is yes it is the most wonderful time of the year!!!
So there are a few things that I want to talk about today. The first thing is that of our diet. It is going great. I dont think that I have eaten so healthy in my life. I would like to thank my parents for getting me to love some of the vegetable and fruit that there are available to us today. I am glad that I love to eat them and enjoy them every day now. I hope that they never grow old and bland for me.
Second was about this past Genereal Conference of the Chruch of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. It has been awhile since I heard a General Conference like this one. The last one I remember was on my mission back in 2007. I had many great inspirations and counsels given to me by the Holy Ghost. I hope that I can remember these promptings and do them as soon as possible. I know that Jesus is the Christ and will return to reign on this earth one day soon. It does not matter when to me when. I will do my best until that day comes. If He doesn't come in my life time then I will have fought a good fight, I will be a wise and faithful servant of the Lord. I love this gospel with all of my heart. I know it is true and that it can bring happiness to all those who listen and apply to its teachings.
Caleb's teeth are finally coming in. There are two white dots on the bottom gums right in front. He is doing so good at taking it like a man. He doesn't fuss that much but he does not sleep that well though. There are some nights where he will sleep the whole night but most nights he wakes up and cries. We are working through this and will see through it to the end. Carolyn is such a great mom. She takes such good care of Caleb and still is able to get her homework done. She is almost done with this semester and has just a few more tests to take. Wooohooo!!!
On a side note, our stake is beginning a round of co-ed indoor soccer. I am really excited to play of course. Not because I get to kick a ball at some women, because I finally get to play in a soccer tournament. It has been a long time for me to be on a team and actually play a season. Hopefully this will jumpstart me into going into a city league or something of the sort. It all depends on time, money and permission from the boss.
So that about sums it up for this week. I hope you enjoy this season, new beginnings, and all the happiness that this season brings. Happy Easter season.
