Ocean City, NJ

This past Sunday after church a few of us went to the beach in Ocean City, New Jersey, which is about an hour to an hour and a half away. It was a blast! The weather was perfect... not too hot to sit in the sun for a while, but warm enough to play in the water. The only problem was that nobody brought sunscreen, so Brenton's back and my shoulders are a little on the red side. It was worth it though. :)

Brenton, Greg, Kylan, Karly, Me

The beach was completely packed! We had to go in the very back corner.

The boys boogie boarding (Brenton, Greg, and Ty):

Check out the girl that Ty is about to hit... priceless. :)

Brenton finally caught a wave.

Brenton and me boogie boarding:
I jumped a little late for this one...

...but I did travel further than him on this one!

Good old Kylan...

One last picture before we left... I made him kiss me for it. :)

A DAY AT NEW YORK!

We have been having so much fun out here in Pennsylvania. Brenton is still selling well and I just started my job at Buckle this week. I'm only going to be working part-time, but it gives me something to do... and the discount is definitely a plus! :)

We decided while we're out here we need to take advantage of how close we are to so many things. This past weekend we decided to spend the boys' day off in New York since most of us hadn't been there yet. Kacey's fiance (Whitney) and Ty's girlfriend (Lindsey) were out here, so the four of them, Karly and Greg, Logan and Becca Mann, and the two of us headed out to Jersey Saturday night after they were done selling. Logan's aunt was kind enough to let all ten of us sleep at her house so we could get a shorter and cheaper bus ride to the city in the morning.

Here are some pictures of our long, but fun day in the city:

After she fed us all pancakes, Logan's aunt wanted to take a picture of us in front of here house before we left... such a nice lady!

We saw this guy dressed as spongebob taking pictures of people for "tips" so we paid him a dollar to get a picture with us.

Lunch was quite frustrating with our big group... there was too many choices and everyone wanted to do something different. I finally pulled a granola bar out of my purse and snacked on it while we decided because anyone who knows me knows that when I'm hungry I am not at all pleasant.

We found this nasty, saggy-skinned lady on Times Square taking pictures with people for $2. I'm not sure what Ty is looking at in this picture... because I'm pretty sure nobody wants to see what he appears to be looking at.

This guy was completely asleep in the middle of the road in Times Square. This street is for pedestrians only and the have a bunch of lawn chairs in the road for people to sit on.

This is ground zero where the twin towers were... just a bunch of construction right now.

Our feet were so swollen from both walking and humidity.

The Hudson

New Jersey

These are supposed to be eyes, but they look like breasts and the guys thought it was funny so they had to get a picture with them.

Battery Park
Unfortunately this is the closest we got to the Statue of Liberty... we didn't have time to take the boat out to it and Ellis Island. Brenton was pretty excited to be in this park though because he did a report on it in his English class. It was really pretty.

Central Park

We were so tired at the end of the day. There is way to much to see and do in New York to try to fit into one day.

This old guy was just randomly playing the keyboard in the subway station with these little dancing dolls.

PHILLY

Life in Philly is good so far. Brenton is doing really well. I've just been hanging out and looking for a job... hope to get one soon. Since I've only been out here for a little over a week we haven't had time to see much of the city yet. We are just having fun hanging out and getting to know people in the office.
Here are some pictures of our adventures so far:
When I got here the only kind of dishsoap Brenton had boughten was the kind you use when washing by hand, but I thought it would be okay to use it just once in the dishwasher... Well let's just say I'm not going to do that again. :)

This past Sunday we decided to go take a walk at Wissihickon Park. It was so pretty!

On our way to Wissihickon Park, we got lost and ran into this bird watch at Fort Washington National Park. We were able to see some really pretty birds that we'd never seen before like Bluejays, Cardinals, and a Baltimore Oreo (the old man that took this picture told us what they all were).

We love how green it is here! There's trees everywhere!
