Today we ventured up to Springfield for an art class I signed the kids up for weeks ago (yea that it only cost a few dollars for the event). They taught us about Aboriginal art from Australia and then all the kids went to work. The kids enjoyed it... including Ada. And yes, there was plenty o' mess. I was so grateful our friends Beth and Elora were there too! Made it so much funner!
Here is Ada... her first encounter with painting. I was feeling daring to let her try! She is holding a Qtip with blue paint on it. The instructor assured me that the paint was washable... I hope because it did get on our clothing!
Here is a line up of their finished projects. Ella made a kookaburra, Ben (red paper) a fish, and Ada and mommy worked on a kangaroo.
Lastly, we stopped by the Springfield library to get a load of books on our way home. Ada spotted the giraffe from way off and she wanted to see it up close, so I had to snap a picture. Funny that Ben is blurry in the picture because he was moving. LOL
