Celebrate!

Hello - Ina here and Welcome to my December Inspiration Post.

I have been anxiously waiting for my pre order of

Tim's Wildflower Stems 1 from Our Bizzy Becs Store

which I have wanted for like forever!

and you know when you get something new you

have to try it out.

I kept it simple this time but I have

so many ideas using this die with

the Wildflowers and Stems 2 in the New Year.

I used Designer Paper for the background

and die cut three cream flowers and an extra one

shadowed and coloured with Nuvo Powders adding extra

with Metallic Coral to the centre.

Sentiment is again from my favourite

Dark Room Door Happy Birthday set.

Added some gold thread behind it.

Attached to cream linen card base.

Recently I did a mixed media challenge at a virtual retreat. The prompts given were journal page, paint, book print pages torn up, stencil or black marker with triangles and of course a vocal point. I decided to use a Bird Crazy stamp for my vocal point.

I had so much fun doing this, I did another page using Tim Holtz Stamps - Bird Crazy This time I used yellow and red paint, bubble wrap, a stamp from my stash I haven't used for ages (cracks), Tim Holtz Small Talk stickers, a cat stencil and a black Posca.

Poinsettia Christmas....

Hi everyone.

Karen here, it is my turn today to share with you my latest creation.

I have had this Pointsettia 3D die in my stash for some time and I have finally got an opportunity to use it. Although this is not currently listed in the store, I am sure if it is still available Bec would be able to order for you. I have taken inspiration with the foil for my card from Google, but have used Silver instead of Gold to highlight the Pointsettia..

Before embossing I inked the inside of one side on the embossing folder with Distress Oxide in Crackling Campfire and Speckled Egg, spritzed it with water, then run my cardstock through my BigShot. When dry I stamped around the edge of the cardstock using an older Stampers Anonymous Stamp called Fragments (from my stash) and Archival Stamp Pad in Hickory Smoke and also inked around the outside edge. I then painted the Pointsettia with Tim Holtz Distress Resist Spray and ran it though my Mink Machine to set the Silver Foil.

Before mounting to my card base I run some Finnabair Alchemy Wax in Brushed Iron around the black cardstock to co-ordinate with the foil.

Although it does show up very well, I have also stamped and embossed in silver at the bottom of the card.

Test Run using Altenew Cheerful Blooms

Today I am here with my first Inspiration Post for

Bizzy Becs Store Blog

I recently purchased Altenew's Cheerful Blooms

from our store but unfortunately it is

out of stock atm and pre orders from Altenew are on hold

due to shipping restrictions. I must have got the last one.

I thought I would try my hand with this 3D folder.

After many attempts I found I need a lot more practice.

So practice some more I will be doing.

I used Bazzill card stock running it through my CB

adding white embossing powder to the flower and

lightly behind it for effect.

I then added Art Alchemy Indian Pink Wax

to highlight it.

Heat embossed my sentiment from the

Dark Room Door Birthday Sentiments

which can be ordered from The Store

Lightly sprayed with Perfect Pearls,

corner rounded two corners and finished with

some pearls. Adhered to white card base.

Here's a few I played with -

not sure what I will do with them though.

As you can see I used a variety of AA waxes

to see how they looked on different coloured bases.

It was fun experimenting and that's what it is all about -

enjoying our pastime.

My Favorite Things - Picture Perfect Stamp Set

Hi and welcome to my inspiration this month. Today I am showcasing My Favorite Things - Picture Perfect Stamp Set. I could not resist putting in a pre-order for this stamp set and it didn't take very long for me to receive it from Bec. I am so glad I chose it - so many possibilities.

For this card I have used a pre-cut photo frame from Big W's craft section would you believe, and the background paper is from a pad which was probably one of the first paper pads I bought way back when. This stamp set is great, it has 6 animal stamps, 2 small embellishment stamps and 7 sentiments. What a bargain!

Carved Leaves....

Hi everyone.

Today is my turn on the blog and I am dropping in to share my card.

I have been playing with stencils, crackle texture paste and Distress Ink to create a male inspired birthday card. For my background I applied the crackle paste through my stencil and allowed it to dry. I then applied Distress Ink through my stencil in Speckled Egg and Frayed Burlap.

My leaves are also a stencil and I inked onto watercolour cardstock and then when dried, I fussy cut my chosen leaves.
